Edit: Dead Sereda, Alistair saying something about how some of you loved her! Then close up of Zev's face. *cry*

Yeah, I'm going to dump that leather armor asap. I made her a DW-warrior (second attempt).Addai67 wrote...
Get her in some heavy armor, or at least studded armor (which doesn't have as noticeable a "skirt"). I really don't notice the arms in heavy armor. And anyway, Zevran loves them. The peanut gallery is just jealous.
It's probably about the stupid MMO, which will just remind us of the likely reason Awakening was so rushed and sloppy.Nonvita wrote...
I noticed, and goshdarnit I want to know what it's for! It had better be DA related, and it had better be something amazing!
DW is the best for a warrior, but it's still boring as hell. Rogue is the only way to go. Awakening will hopefully show the numbniks who think rogues aren't tough fighters and just pick locks that they're full of crap. They should have figured this out with Zevran, but if they can't see it after Zevran, Nathaniel and Sigrun, they're just not gonna.About all the DW warrior hate- you have to play it differently from a DW rogue.
Heh, are you Egyptian?Ramante wrote...
Starting to get one problem... the name of new Wardens. I'm starting to run out of Egyptian names, named the dwarf Nechbet (patron of Upper-Egypt).

I agree with ejoslin, femDwarves look so cute. =3

We will have to disagree! I started out playing DW warriors, and with my DNF decided to go back to it to see if I could re-discover any charm. It's sorely lacking any. At all. I'm going to make myself finish her character, but I really wish there was a re-spec class option. I don't play with a tank, however. My Awakening team was usually 2 rogues and 2 mages. In Origins, I usually take along Alistair just because I like him (sometimes Sten or Oghren), but I don't consider it necessary to have a warrior along. They just don't pull their weight.Nonvita wrote...
And try my suggestion for a DW warrior, it's really fun! You don't even really need a separate tank, so you can free up some party space.
Edit: It's not boring, darnit!

Okay ejoslin, what's that epi-card you have in your photo file (sorry for snooping).

MMO?
DragonAge related?
I'm playing a DW warrior this time through (first she was S&S) but this will be the last warrior I play (I think, may do a DCM warrior). And *yawn* rogue is so much more fun. Plus she dies so much more easily than my rogues ever did. And what's with the warrior armor making Fems look like they have tiny little pin heads?

Awwwww! I still think FemDwarves are cute. MaleDwarves have the same arms, and no one rags on THEMMaybe because they're bulkier. Femdwarves are pretty nicely muscled, but nothing like their male counterparts.
And yeh, I'm getting strange looks here, laughing at my computer again!

Is that the 'Zevran in Love' epi card?

Nope, it's a Star Wars MMO by Bioware. Sounds kinda cool, but not as awesome as Dragon Age.
And my warrior never died more than my rogue, except when she had tons of enemies attacking. Seriously, the talents you want ASAP are Weapon Mastery, Dual Weapon Sweep, and Whirlwind. Bump your strength up ASAP to wear heavy or massive armor, then bump Dex up to ~45, then go back to bumping strength. Go Champion/Templar, and you'll pretty much massacre everything. No lockpicking doesn't matter because it gives you an excuse to bring Zevran everywhere, and not being a rogue means you don't have to constantly worry about positioning.

My husband will probably like it, but even though I like space sci-fi in novels/movies/TV, I have yet to find a game about it I can play. Of course, my default stance with all video games when I first play them, including DA:O, is "this is stupid and I have better things to do!" Occasionally I change my mind, you notice.Nonvita wrote...

This is how I see it: I never worry about positioning with a rogue, but with warrior I don't even have the option to do things like go for a backstab. Warriors just seem like gimped rogues to me. Unnaturally gimped. I really wish the classes were merged, or something. You can build a rogue to be high str/dex and there's no difference between them and a DW warrior, except the rogue has much better talents and skills. No lockpicking doesn't matter because it gives you an excuse to bring Zevran everywhere, and not being a rogue means you don't have to constantly worry about positioning.

@ejoslin - Yes to all the Epi cards! Or just quote from the toolset.
I'm not thinking I like that epi card there.....I just can't see 90% of my GWs doing that.

My stupid warrior goes dancing around a target to position before striking, and by the time she dances around, and goes to hit, *boom* one of the others have killed who she was targeting.....silly girl is having to run off to go get the far away baddies to get any kills. Even then Zevran opr Alistair will swoop in and kill whomever she was going to go after and then run off to the next target.
I've been doing a lot of yelling at my laptop this game, cursing everyone stealing all my kills.

Same here. I mentioned earlier that I kept seeing Sula with a gold nose ring (just a little one!) and bangles, in a burgundy wrap, walking through an open market somewhere warm. Maybe Rivain.ejoslin wrote...
I can see it -- my warden joining him Antiva, having a huge fight with the crows and giving them the message once and for all to stay away, then going and adventuring elsewhere. I can't see a single one taking over the Crows, however. I can't see Zevran taking them over with a living warden, either.
