Yes ma'am, it's just a dialogue change and so as long as you have a CE origin it will still trigger. i have also expanded it to work with Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana as well, so all romances will have more engaging responses

Right now i am just tidying up the last of the Zevran responses, plus i want to add a few more random party interjections, but it has to take a slight backseat to classes for a day or so.

Charsen, again, thank you so much!  Now I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  I have replayed the Alienage an embarrassing number of times since I was able to snag the one where you made the one change -- I'm really looking forward to seeing what you've done with that.

The ranger pets dying in an area transition is very irritating, especially on my blood mage who depends on them for healing! I believe one of the advanced combat mods addresses this. I usually give him 2 ranks of Ranger just for this reason, to cycle between them.

I always make Zevran a ranger, except on my Dalish elf who was a ranger herself. I figure he learned it from them during his brief stint.

That one, no.  If Zev was anywhere close to Amaranthine, I think stealing her sword would be the LAST thing on his mind. 

A lot of things point to there perhaps being an expansion set in Antiva.

I don't think I had a sword. Well, I was a mage, but was I supposed to get one so it could be stolen? I didn't manage to complete the Wade quests, because I found them irritating. I wanted to do something fun, like go and kill a dragon, instead of having a shopping list of stupid things that never got ticked off when I got them so I couldn't see which I still needed. I couldn't complete the bomb quest either - the guy had the quest arrow over his head but no quest dialogue.



I was actually quite moved at the end of Awakening. I was really surprised at some of the endings my companions had. Anders surprised me the most (I don't want to give spoilers).

My last HNF there was no royal scandal!  Alistair refused to marry her, in fact (he said he hadn't taken THAT many blows to the head when she suggested it -- that's when I learned he has to be at least -25 neutral for a wedding to take place).  The best part about that playthrough, though, was he hit -100 hostile just after he begged her to help him be king and she laughed in his face (well, that's how I imagined it anyway) and saw the absolute meanest line in the game.  But as a general rule, the royal scandal IS mean.  To everyone.  

The elf I transfered into awakenings got a very chilly reception from Alistair, but she was from my other Alistair hate game so I thought that was it.  And he was most unhappy about being king.

Edit: And the showdown doesn't really make clear whether it's a showdown between the two of them, or with the two of them against someone else.  Just that they engaged in a showdown.  I like to think the two of them took on the crows in that showdown.  Again, this is the man who, if left at the gates, says, "In truth, for the chance to be by your side, I'd storm the dark city itself, never doubt it," and if taken with, may say (though you may not get it if you don't tell him you're happy he's there), "By your side I'd storm the gates of the dark city itself.  Do not doubt it."  He jokes about it at the coronation, but also makes it very clear that he's there for the long haul.  He's not just going to up and ditch the warden.  I just can't see THAT at all.

Oh that's right. But if Alistair had married you, you would have done it, so you can't exactly claim to be a saint among men (or women)! Ohhh and what's the absolute meanest line in the game? Sounds intriguing!

I'm just going to imagine the chasing after Zevran part to mean he was in danger. So it plays out that: sometime during their travels, Zevran found the Crows were coming after him again; he tells the Warden he has to fight them, and she sadly can't go with him because of GW business; but once that business is over she goes running to Antiva to make sure he's OK...
Meh, we'll see how it goes.

Woohoo! Bring it on! This weekend would be great, I can just load up my save right before entering the Alienage and get to it (whew that was an emotional moment first time round). And if your mod works for me, then you'll pretty much know it's compatible with every mod ever considering how many I use...

It sounds really awesome.

So of course, the minute my PC is free of her obligations, she is taking the first boat to Antiva. One of the letters you guys wrote (was it jenovan's?) talked about "I know you're beautiful when you're angry, but let me explain..." That all fits pretty well.

LOL, yes, that was mine -- I see it the same way.  There's no way that particular PC would let Zevran go off alone, but Zevran either 1) wouldn't want to put him in danger, or 2) honestly figures it would be easier without PC there, so he goes alone.  Hence the "chasing" after Awakenings.

My male elf romanced everyone he could, but there was something I particularly liked about him and Zevran together.  Maybe because they were similar, or maybe just because I found both of them physically appealling.   Probably the latter.   But also, he was the character that took Zevran's advice all the way through. 

I can't find a good picture of them together, but in this one I caught Zevran looking!

Oghren .... was a good friend of the character I'd imported. At first it was great to see him again, but I didn't find him quite as likeable in Awakenings. It seemed to be really easy to lose approval with him (while trying to be nice to him), and even though I gave him all the alcohol in the world I never got him to 100. I will admit the Oghren of Origin's was better then the Oghren of Awakening, I had hoped that getting him and Felsi togeather would help him and his self worth issues, and his reason for joining the Wardens was to repay The Warden for being there for him, but the writer's decided otherwise.

I would have loved to talk to Felsi and heard her side, and explained what Oghren couldn't...

The exact line was "Truly, you are magnificent when you are angry, but I would be far happier to not be the focus of that anger when next we meet."    (It's much funnier when you know what a wet noodle that particular PC was.. I imagine whenever he DID get angry, it was probably terrifying. XD)

Had to go back and find my original post... I'd better save that somewhere.  This thread moves so fast, and there's no way to search in the thread itself!

@MorGothic, yes, it would have been good to talk to Felsi. And I didn't like the options I had for dialogue during the Oghren/Felsi exchange. I also felt that Oghren should be at the same approval that I'd left him at in Origins, when he was a good friend.

Oh I love that whole letter! It's so much better than the one actually written for the game, too. It fits Zevran's voice so well.

And Sannox, your elf looks great with Zevran! I felt weird about the idea of my HN getting with Zevran, too. Granted, I played her as arrogant and fairly racist, but they just didn't seem to have that "love" connection my CE had with him. They turned out great as friends, and I definitely got a sense of firm comraderie from them, but romance? Never.

My HNFs have all been horrible, I have to admit. Spoiled, racist in the same way Leliana is, a bit of a free spirit, but uncaring of other people's feelings (she tells Fergus she has three lovers, tells Iona that she finds elves very attractive, etc etc etc). She has to change as much as Zevran has to. The marriage is not that she wants to be queen (she neither wants that nor to be married to Alistair), but she thinks she would be the best ruler for Ferelden and she promised her father she'd always do her duty first.

It probably is awful for me to admit I laughed for the longest time when I saw that.  And of course I picked it.

Aw, I think they're cute together. But it can definitely be tough transitioning from one type of character to another. I just started a mage character myself, and I'm having trouble getting inside her head after playing/re-playing my human noble.
