Shianni dialogue? What 'Shianni' dialogue? What did I miss?

Gah, I worked 12+ hour days all week, and I seem to have missed quite a lot. Please don't make me go back digging through the thread. Pretty please?

hmm, actually i think i'll step back on the kiss at the gate scene and Gilded & Ejoslin can work that out unless i am needed --



shianni dialog expands her reunion with the warden to release some unseen dialog & add a ton more, i literally have added full conversations to the scene, nearly at alpha phase -- been a little busy with classes this week so it got delayed. but i want to get it done & out of my head so i can do other stuff.

 Charsen, I can't get the kiss in.  Seriously.  The kiss needs to be on the same line, and I can't edit actions into lines unfortunately.  I think GA is done as well.  HOWEVER, what I have does work (minus kiss of course) and does not mess up when it's at "friendly."  I'd appreciate testers :D  I'm also going to look at Gilded Age's and see what she has and how she got around that flag problem (if it truly is a problem).

Edit: I ran into something in the toolset, though.  The party banters -- they have VO notes.  So I'm a little distracted right now (bad me).

Second edit: OOOOH! Charsen, I can't wait to alpha test that!

Okay, WAM, there are missing Shianni dialogues too?

Just for the CE? Different for CEM vs CEF?

I'm so glad I kept my city elf character's saves! I've got a save from pre-Shianni so I will happily test that out.

Charsen, the flag problem I was having is that the dialog for Friendly for whatever reason fires off at love instead, but if the warden is at friendly, you get the "warm" dialog. In order to get the "love" dialog to trigger, I had to remove the "Friendly" dialog from that tree and to the "not friendly or love" tree. It works. At friendly you still get the "warm" dialog and at "love" you get the proper love dialogs. It's a kludge, though. Just changing flags and such did no good. I had to actually move it which makes me think there's a problem with the "friendly" flag. Not that it matters, really.

Edit: There are some fantastic banters that I've never seen triggered in my games.  Like Alistair asking Zevran his intentions towards the warden...

Second edit: more unsquee.  My mod will override any changes DT makes at the city gates (that's mainly Alistair romance stuff).  This is a kludge.  Gilded Age did suggest something for me to use, which I may do, but my time is about out for this for the day.

Ejoslin - go to dialogue tweaks nexus page and download Vaire's B2B file, then load it in the toolset via Tools -> Builder -> Builder to builder load

Then hit ok

This will overwrite your files with the dialogue tweak files though, so if you want to keep changes, save your files as a different name before importing the new ones (which should keep the default names)

Oh wow, I just started reading the thread backwards a little and I, too, am very excited about the dialogue at the city gates.



Unfortunately my PC is still a long way from being there, so I can't test (and I've deleted my other characters in a fit of stupidity), but I'm very interested in seeing where this is going.

Fine. Go ahead, Charsen. Make me want to build a CE. See if I care. I'll most certainly appreciate the very valid excuse to play again for the fifth or sixth time. There goes my weekend, thank goodness they reported rain for the whole 2 days.

Not only that, now I have to go digging around in the toolset again. I want to see those banters. Where did you find them, Ejoslin?

By the way, I hereby volunteer for any alpha, beta, etc testing for Zevran mods. Just point me to them, I'll do the rest :)

Ok, I'm wrong. It IS DT compatible. At least, with version .93. What it is NOT compatible with is Alistair Dialog patch, which does mess with the same Denerim gates file.

So right now, my mod will trigger the "love" dialogs instead of the "friendly" dialogs if Zevran is in love. If he is friendly, he will continue to just trigger the "warm" dialogs -- it's a vanilla game bug, but not one that I could fix. I didn't do anything that should influence any of the other dialogs. I cannot add kisses because I cannot edit actions on the lines. However, it is good to go for testing. It is not a dazip, and it won't become one. You just need to unzip the files into your core/override. There is one more fix I'm going to make, I'm going to repair a bug where if Alistair is hostile, and you take him with you, you don't talk to Zevran at all.

It's funny to think how much they haven't enabled in the game just to keep it under epically huge proportions - as well as 'balancing' talk with action. It makes it fun to see those of us that like to squeeze every detail out of the game coming up with tidbits like precious treasure
