As for Taliesin, I think I just stay with my first impression. That he is one of the few that Zevran trusts more or less, an admired guide and mentor. I take that as the reason Zevran never quesions Taliesin's involvement in Rinna's death. Zevran is neither naive nor stupid, if there was just something casual going on between the two, something 'more' than mere friendship, he'd be wondering just as much as my PC wondered when hearing about Taliesin and then meeting him in person. In my mind, there is already an emotional bond between the two, so casual sex can't be devoid of emotions. I don't think it has to do with my gender, I have no problem seeing Zevran bedding women/men contracts, or picking up women and/or men for fun between the sheets in his free time.
I'll also stick to the impression that Taliesin convinced an already frightened Zevran that Rinna was a traitor for his own selfish reasons. He was, in Zevran's mind, his mentor and as close to a family member as Zevran could get. However, Taliesin was also somewhat of a watcher, trying to keep his charges in line. Assassins live a dangerous life, and it is known that Zevran resisted the Crows early on. It's also feasible to me that his bragging, as well as the undercurrent of wanting to leave did not escape the higher-ups. After all, he did already bolt once to join the Dalish. Zevran knows too much to just let slip away. I don't think I'm explaining this right, but hopefully it's not all to hard to understand at least a little.
I agree with wanting to smash my fist into Ignacio's face when he throws that wh***son at Zevran. I can defend Leliana, why can't I defend Zevran?
I guess I don't want Zevran to be all about sex, all the time, it makes him too 2 dimensional. I see it this way: If Alistair was to say that Duncan meant so much to him, 99% of the people will automatically say "Of course, he was like a father to you." He was more than just a friend to Alistair, but most of the people will not stick the two into bed as an 'automatic'.
Zevran gets automatically put into bed, if he so much as likes another person beyond mere what he thinks is 'friendship'. Our beloved assassin has plenty of bed-partners, and why not. Some people like spinach, and some people like sex. Nothing wrong with that, as long as they're careful regarding diseases and pro-creation. But Taliesin will be Zevran's 'Duncan' as far as I'm concerned. I never believed that Duncan felt toward Alistair as Alistair felt toward Duncan. The same goes for the Zevran/Taliesin relationship in my mind and my RPing.
I build my warrior, and I think I have to respec her. I build her up as Sword and Shield, and it sucks. I'll give the DW a try. Gah, I suck at building warriors. But it is nice to be able to wear the heavy plate and throw my PC in the middle of the action.
I couldn't wait to get Jory's chainmail to and put it on her, even though it still always pains me that he has to die (*is ashamed*).
I was totally shocked to find that I had Alistair at around 93 in no time, my PC hadn't even met Zevran yet. I don't remember doing anything special, other than heavy flirting. Yeah, I admit, I wanted to see Alistair 'in love' before dumping him, but I was rather astounded that it went so fast. I didn't even check his line, and stared at the monitor in awe when Alistair gave my PC the 'let's go to bed' speech. I also finally got to hear Zevran's advice to Alistair. It never triggered the first time around, and subsequent play-throughs never had Alistair high enough by the time Zevran went into his 'me or him' speech. That was too funny, especially given the fact that Zevran was at around 65 and falling in love himself. Zevran, you sly dog. That certainly showed Alistair up as a bit immature (la la la la???).
