After reading some of the posts here, I'm toying with the idea of having Zevran tell the Rinna story at the Gauntlet. He would need to be over 71% if romanced, is that right? And I would have to avoid speaking to him (difficult - I can't resist, even if he has nothing to say). I have a Dalish elf who might be able to hold out that long.



Or I could just have another look at the City Gates scenes.



I keep missing out on interesting conversations here because I have to go to work, or do housework, or sleep.

Sannox, you do have to be at 71+ (Adore) if he's romanced, but why would you have to avoid speaking to him? Just don't ask about his final mission if he's over 71+ (Adore). *grin* It is fun when new dialogs open up, though.

I don't suppose anyone has an old save with crappy choices that they could try this out on and see if it works on the Awakenings import, since I no longer have one I can use? Would be nice to know if we can change our "royal scandal/Zevran love" choice at will.

Oh, you know.  I just keep clicking on him.  I didn't realise I could avoid that one conversation.  I can't resist any new dialogue options.   Thanks - I think I might try it out - the Gauntlet question about Rinna, and then take him away from the others and get the Rinna dialogue.

That's where dialog tweaks is a lifesaver for me. I click on him, and can kiss him. But yeh, it's hard not asking him about everything. I do try to get him refusing to talk about it, though. It shows how much he does trust the wraden when he does tell the story.

Eh, I had a look (not attempted to import a charcter yet) but to be honest you can do what this mod does using the console and it would be easier (at leat for me), there doesn't seems to be away using is this mod for the warden to marry Anora and certain options don't appear to change if selected. I'd consider very early beta and wouldn't have released it with a spelling mistake like "compagnions" in the main selection scene.

I couldn't have done this mod myself so having a go at the modder isn't fair on my part, but I'll stick to the console.

Alrighty so I decided to do the US Ending on my AW Elf Sena...who romanced Zevran...I know I am probably going to cry hard, but I want the achievement and the Alistair sacrifice one. But on my CE, which I am using with Charsen's and Ejoslin's mod( love you both ever so much!), is so sacrificing Loghain then reloading to do the DR, because I want to see Loghain smiling in Awakenings..

Edit: I forgot, can I persuade Al to let me take the final blow? I want to know if I can do a save right before getting to the archdemon.

so I just finished awakenings it was average and I did enjoy it...I was disappointed at how little screen time Utha and the Architectbut I did enjoy their presence as well as the Architects conversations even though you see hima grand total of twice in the game



oh and the ending was really abrupt (I also didnt get the Zevran epilogue card either....though Xanders ending could easily lead into it) also any one else get a glitch where the ending movie would replay itself over and over again after the billion epilogue cards?

Alistair and Loghain both are always willing to take that blow. And I'm glad you like that mod!

Edit: Ugh on Xander not getting Zevran's epilogue card

I got the US achievement without actually killing my Warden. I loaded one of my Post-coronation auto-saves just to check something and poof, the trophy was awarded me though I had done DR.

TripLight, If you haven't romanced Alistair, you can talk him out of taking the final blow. I had him at around 35 warm and he let me take him out of it. Bit I've had him at interested, adore and love and he's never let me take the blow. I don't know if he's at friendly though....my DE never got him up that high.

You can always leave him at the gates, I guess.

EDIT: I also had Loghain at less than 50 approval (I think it was 44 or so) and my PC was able to take the final blow against the AD. Talked Loghain out of it.... "What? Let you die a hero? No way! You're going to have to live the rest of your life with your choies." was my PC's attitude.

Xanders epilogue card really was perfect for leading into it Zevrans card(or a card where he runs off because his fething sword was stolen) but for some reason I didnt get it

Thank you Jaulen! I wanted to know so I could make a save point closer then when Riordan tells me to choose my party. The thought of replaying that gauntlet two times in a row just irritates me.

I had the one time where he did it with my FCE, when I was playing with the endings, but he was romanced there (and I was surpized I wasn't able to talk him out of it). I didn't take him with with my MCE, so my MCE died, but that would be interesting, Alistair and Darrian were best buds (if I can get game to work, might see if I have a save prior to gates and give that a try). And my FDE never got Alistair above warm. Not that it would have mattered, when Morrigan made that offer she was all like "I don't plan on dying..." My last FCE, though, lost Alistair since she spared Loghain and made Anora queen solo, and I tried DR and no DR options. Never got a chance to get Loghain very high to see if I could NOT talk him out of the killing blow.

100 Friendly never romanced he's willing to take the blow, but you can as well.  100 Friendly, romanced and dumped, it depends on the reason for the dumping.  If you break up with him for someone else OR if you tell him, "There's someone else," he'll offer to take the blow, but you can take it too.  If you break up with him because you think you two don't have a future, he won't let you take it.  Morrigan will say something about it when telling you about the ritual -- she'll say you're the woman Alistair loves.

Loghain will offer to take the blow -- he really wants to, but it's your choice there as well.

For Loghain on my CE playthrough (he called her pretty:wub:, yes I am that shallow when it comes to make-believe compliments) I am planning on starting only one DLC , Shale, I'll get her, then when I get Loghain, I am planning to complete and do all the other DLC's. LOL, This is all for Loghain's approval btw. I want to see how he changes and responds.

So, interesting notes re: ejoslin's gates mod, from LJ-land... Apparently, some few people actually DO get the proper Love lines at the gate! It seems like a small minority.... makes you wonder why, though. XD

That IS interesting.  I wonder what's different in their releases. Because it looks like it should fire properly.  Do they get the kisses as well? Or were those never put in?

Edit: That actually is why I had such a hard time with making the mod -- everything LOOKS correct.  So I wonder where it got loused up.

Now I'm wondering if it's a patch thing.  Wouldn't it be interesting if unpatched didn't have that issue?  But people on consoles seem to have the bug.  Hmmmmmm.
