I just realized something. In Zevran's confrontation conversation, he says he is "no cheat." But technically what he had with Isabela was cheating, correct? Since she was married and all. But did it not count in his mind because he didn't really care about her or because she wasn't "in love" with her husband?

Well technically, Isabella was cheating with Zevran. He had no obligations to anyone but the Crows, while Isabella was bound by chantry laws and vows to the man she married. So Izzy was the cheater.

Her husband was his target.  It's how he got close to him.

Edit: That whole confrontation has interesting VO notes, really.  He's supposed to be trying very hard to sound uncaring, but not quite succeeding.

well he was there to *kill* her husband so it didnt matter if he slept with her in the long run or not since she was going to be single very soon any ways

*chuckle* Is that so bad? Being a little deviant is fine. Now if you were like 3 miles over the line, I could see it being a bit of an issue.

His relationship with the Warden is not something he's been forced into because of work, it's something he's chosing to enter into out of his own free will. So, the two situations aren't really comparable.

EDIT: Also, I'm sure he started his relationship with Isabella with his "this is just about fun sex" attitude, so it's not that he didn't care about her, but rather, they both knew it was just about sex, and neither was looking for more.

With the Warden, he tries to start similarly care-free, but that doesn't really work. He confronts them once he cares about them, and tries to play it off like he's mostly trying to protect the interest of the other person. He doesn't want to be a burden, and he doesn't like to express his feelings.

In that conversation where he tells the PC he's not a cheat, the issue is not the sex, but that there are feelings involved.  You get that confrontation when he's at... I believe it's 70+.  He has no objection to the PC having sex with someone else while it's still casual, e.g. Cammen.  Not even Alistair has a problem with this!  The difference are when there are feelings engaged.

Ok Zevranites, just updated the 1.4 version to include the kiss if and only if you get him to give you the ring as a token of affection (and you're using the Dialogue Tweaks version... but i think mostly everyone uses DT here anyway!)

Yes I heard it, and considering how she gets all cougarish on Ali in RTO, its a wonder she is offended by Zev. But I chalk that up to her being a fickle and uppity grizzled shrew:wizard:.

I also think Wynne doesn't take Zevran seriously most of the time. She probably thinks he's just trying to get a rise out of her and isn't being genuine. In another convo with him she says his flirtation is just a game.

Whereas Alistair is nothing but genuine and wearing his heart on his sleeve most of the time.

Awww, Charsen, thanks for linking it! Someone also made a youtube video of it, which was really sweet. I just left Ostegar on a new playthrough, and am again grateful for ZevranASAP. I have some ring testing to do, though! Even though it's not in beta! I love testing it
