I have a question (again). =3

So my PC is a bloodmage and I'm about to finish the circle quest, problem is my BFF Wynne doesn't tell Greagoir I'm a BM. I want her to do that, so I checked the wiki and apparently there is a mod (from DT) to fix this problem. My problem is, reading the text that comes with the mod tells me I shouldn't install the mod because I'm not at the right place in the game or something.

Ideas anyone?

This package should not be used unless you already have a Blood Mage character "stuck" at the Landsmeet, or you are willing to risk possible plot flag issues with official expansions. The new options in Arl Eamon's dialogue should only be used to correct the missing ally issue in the case the PC is a Blood Mage and ended the Circle Tower confrontation by eliminating both Templars and Mages.

The Crow talk between Zevran and Shale is even more brilliant, though it is not about the relationship with the Warden.

MG, that's why I never really care about things like that. It usually only concerns the US, so I never really even take note of such things.

(No problem. You are right, 500 pages are too long to find specific posts. And of course you are right. Zevran is a very special character.

Yes, you have to use the bloodmage package -- in addition to the generic DT.

@ Ramante, Yes, that's the funniest conversation in the game! I hadn't read about it when I heard it, so it was such a surprise. I kept laughing for ages afterwards. 'If given sufficient cause, why not?' - he is so bad!

I think his sense of humour and fun probably helped to keep him going through the bad times. I love it.

That's my confusion, I don't want to mess up my game, since the circle is not my last quest. I don't feel like replaying some part of the game because I block my landsmeet.

I just got the comment that my mage is a heart-breaker, next moment I 'accidently' clicked on Zevran and I got the poem reading. For some reason that sounded even more wrong at that specific place and time then when he gives it in camp. xD

My fem mage got the massage talk in camp (go her!), after that I talked to Alistair and he gave her the rose. That was really strange, I feel like such a cheat. xD

Don't know who I'm cheating on, I turned both romances on and had a 'first one to bite, gets caught' attitude going with my mage. Aw well, what can we expect from a sex goddess.

When I first got DA:O, one of the things I was most excited about was romancing Zevran. I didn't know much about the game or Zevran at all (I was remaining spoiler-free until after my first play-through). It wasn't what I was expecting though. Ever after my first playthrough, I have had a hard time ever romancing Zevran again. I just can't do it. To me it just seems that he is trying to seduce the Warden so that she (or he, but I have never romanced him as a guy character so I can't comment on that romance) will keep him close. When he calls me beautiful, it just rings false to my ears. I know he has called every other woman that he wants to use the same thing. I keep thinking back to how I met him with that apostate wrapped around his finger, obviously kept close because she was powerful. I'm not any different to him.

I know at the very end he really does love me and I can tell, but I just can't get to that point anymore, because everything leading up to it feels like he is using me...even the sex. I remember that in my very first play-through one time I went to him and he was like, "Work, work, work..." I know it is supposed to be funny, but my character didn't find it funny at all. So having sex with her was work, huh? And I still have a hard time with all of the people he used then killed, even if he didn't have a choice in it...it still bothers me.

I want to like Zevran romantically, but I just can't get past that feeling of being lied to and used.

For Zevran, actions speak louder than words, which is unsurprising given his history. But everyone already made a lot of good points about this, and it's cool that you're able to see Zevran a bit differently now.

I'm wondering, though... do you accept the earring when he first offers it to you? Or have you seen his (much sweeter and super awesome) second offering of the earring, which you only get if you refused it the first time (It's even more awesome if you use Charsen's Zevring mod) <3<3

OK, my City Elf Alienage mod is up and running, and it is perfect at least for a female who romances Zevran. The weird dialog choices bug after Zevran's final statement is fixed (for all three selections), the glitch involving Alistair or a glitched screen is fixed.

I looked and didn't see any weirdness for other romance partners, but that doesn't mean they're not there. Does anyone remember if there were weird bugs for male/Zevran male or female/Leliana or Morrigan?

Edit: My one concern actually is that I messed up Alistair.  I added a flag, but I had to look in a strange place to find one that would work.  It should be fine, but if anyone has a city elf/Alistair romance going on, if you use my mod and notice anything weird, could you let me know please? 

*grin* I have gotten NOTHING done this afternoon.  The toolset is so addicting.

Eh, don't worry. I was just getting confused about the exact same thing the other night. I wish they would make that text clearer.


And yeah, listening to what Zevran says can be a bad idea, honestly. You just have to remember he has no idea what falling in love actually means, so he's trying his best to even comprehend it as it happens. He falls back on his jokes and 'smooth' lines because those are the things that come easily to him, but there really is a lot more going on than just those words. He's not going to out and out say he loves you, so it is very hard for him to show he's not using you, but he's definitely just as much or more swept up by things than even the Warden.

As for this Bioware contest, ugh. I'm American so I can do it, but darn it I don't even use Twitter, I haven't bought Awakening yet, and a lot of the ways to earn points just seem dumb... Blah.

I advise you do NOT start doing Face Morph's then, as I've done nothing all day...

I've just figured out how to make faces younger without having to use the Kid as the base texture, instead you use it as your blend texture.

and still WHY hasnt the toolset data for awakenings been released yet? seriously NWN2 had an entire expansion pretty much dedicated to expanding the toolset(storm of Zehir)

and even with MoTB the toolset data was released with the thing as well

yet here we are with awakenings thats been out for over a week now and it still hasnt been updated(same with the DLC why hasnt the data been released for something thats been accessible for months)



PS:I just found out my DLC items (warden runic armor and those skimpy mage robes I put anders in) wont be added into your inventory if your character was created after you installed the 1.03 patch gj bioware!

You need to make sure your module hierarchy has Single Player checked, otherwise it doesn't inherit the rights to access the game files.

Check my tutorial here so you can open the files for viewing and then check my DAO blog for info on viewing the files in the toolset.

*grin* Yeh, my response was, ummm, joy. Charsen, I know you're making a very improved city elf scene. I made one that just cleaned up all the text. The surprising thing is on DANexus, it's WAY more popular than the Zevran Gates Dialog fix. When yours is done, I'm going to point people to it, though.

It is frustrating, but I have to think about when my character has given him reason to think differently.    I think that's easy to miss (for me anyway, because I know what my character is feeling!).  He has no way of knowing what my characters feel because they don't get the right dialogue options.

Maybe because more people know about the Alienage bug? I've seen threads on it before, so I think more people have been waiting for a fix for it. The gates people just don't realize are even bugged- none of us here even knew it until you found it.

edit: at least half my images and ALL the dwarf images were deleted by imageshack even though there's no blatant parts showing. what prudes. they probably would have had no problem if Zev had bewbz.

I guess i will test that theory since in the switch position with Zev topping, i will also do a female version for you ladies. (so i'm gonna need some feedback on those...  )
