Thoughts on female faces especially would be really helpful. =P but suggestions/comments/etc are appreciated. i am not looking for perfection -- the toolset cannot do some things and i have not learned many things yet, so i am just shooting for a passing grade. =p
i already posted the zevran bottom screens earlier.
yet again Zevran has kept me up too late. Sabriana you will have to tuck me in again, lol, since i'm literally nodding off as i typed this out. =p
I don't normally see female expressions for obvious reasons (maybe I should ask my boyfriend to take a look), but I really love the female dwarf ones. She looks like she's having so much fun! The human femalle ones are great too. The elf is the only one I'm not so sure about, particularly female elf 3. She looks so surprised! Along with Zevran's expression in the same shot, the effect is quite comical. It looks like he has come knocking at the back door when she was expecting him to ring the bell at the front. It may be just that one shot. But I do love the dwarf ones a lot. I haven't checked out the male ones. I'll have a look at those too (work, work, work ...).

The female human and (especially) female dwarf faces look great, something is not right about the females elves, though... I'm not sure what it is, I'll think about how they should be.Charsen wrote...

Wynne is such a hypocrite, first she starts yelling that my mage is a blood mage, once I got out of that mess and Wynne wants to join my team my Warden is suddenly 'a good person'.

Insulting, hurtful, lying - I don't get any of that from the conversation. I think he genuinely wants to give you his most precious possession. I don't think there is any intention to hurt or insult, or really even to deceive. He covers up his feelings a little (and so does the warden), but he does let quite a lot slip in that conversation. It's always in my mind that he associates a confession of love with spitting in a dying woman's face. It takes him a little bit of time to work through his feelings, enough that he can express them. And even when he does, if you ask him if he loves you, he says he doesn't know - and I think that's genuine. He explains why. At the time of the earring, he's just not quite ready to say all that - not because he wants to hurt you, but because he hasn't worked it through for himself, I think.
So there are good reasons behind him holding back during the earring conversation. You don't know the whole story till later, but you do know some of it at the time. He's not your usual guy who can't talk about feelings at all.
He doesn't try to pretend it's an unimportant bauble either.
'Don't get the wrong idea' is partly insecurity. He does know you care for him - as a friend, and perhaps more, but you haven't spelled it out. He may have promised to stay with you, but you haven't made any promises to him. 'Don't get the wrong idea' - 'I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this'. He may have thought about giving the earring before. On this occasion, he feels a rush of love, and gives it. I don't think he's trying to manipulate or deceive there. His feelings and actions have just got ahead of what he can express verbally. A PC who saw him as a friend with benefits would probably have reacted the same way up to that point, chosen the same dialogue options and so on. There's no way for him to tell the difference between that and a PC who is in love with him.
To complicate matters, you've just killed his ex-lover. No wonder he's struggling a bit with emotions there. But given time, he works it through on his own and can talk to you about what he feels. He does that even if you accept the earring. He doesn't need your refusal to push him into it.
@Sabriana - yes, it would be different if there was a dialogue choice like that. Maybe that's the point - that he manages to work through his own stuff even though you don't fully tell him what you feel. Personally, I don't want to have to refuse it at all, so I'd prefer something like 'Thank, you. It means a lot to me' - and leave him to think about that. In the end, I don't really mind if he makes a fuss over the earring or not, considering what he says later.
I think they (Zevran and the PC) do have a lot of fun together. With my characters I have imagined talking, but not really deep conversations - I do imagine they would laugh a lot together, but no confessions of love on either side. I think that they really are like very very good friends (who have sex) and that confuses the issue a bit. Most of the options where you show you care are similar for friends, I think, or could come across as friendship. Not to demean friendship - I think that means an awful lot to him. But the PC doesn't really say any more than Zevran about how it's gone beyond friendship.

Hi neighbour, my pc is doing fine for the moment.. At this moment I'm checking for viruses, in the last 30 minutes I got 3 'panda-messages' that a virus was trying to get into files. Not sure how I could get a virus since Panda (anti-virus program) is obviously doing his work and the only things I've downloaded are mods from DAnexus.Sabriana wrote...

The patch is terrible, the stupid thing is that you need the patch to play Awakening. That is the only reason why I have it installed on my computer. I'm not installing Awakening on my laptop so I have one DA:O game without patches and it works great. Haven't played it much on my laptop though, my human mage is too much fun. Being a BM is fun, but I'm still not sure what second spec to choose. I've picked AW but she is not wearing armor, she looks way too hot in the mages robes.

I love this game. It is open to so many different styles and suits everyone's imagination. I can definitely see your point, Sannox. Please don't think that I'm saying that only *my* way is the right way. That is not so, there truly is not 'right' or 'wrong' in the way we, as individuals, play this.
Lol@ Minaleth. Don't open them in a psych-clinic either. Just a tip.
By the way, Ejoslin, I blatantly and shamelessly stole your banner. I hope it's okay. I love purple, and Zevran with purple was too much for me to resist.

Zevran: Here... it seems an appropriate moment to give you this. (warm)
Warden: Oh? Will that mean we're married in Antiva? (low approval raise)
Zevran: Laughs Let's hope not! (amused)
Zevran: I acquired it on my very first job for the Crows. A Rivaini merchant prince, and he was wearing a single, jeweled earring when I killed him. In fact, that's about all he was wearing.
Zevran: I thought it was beautiful and took it to mark the occasion. I've kept it since... and I'd like you to have it. (it's no big thing, just a simple gift)
Warden: Thank you, Zevran. It's so beautiful! (IF PC is female)
Zevran: Don't get the wrong idea about it. You killed Taliesen. As far as the Crows will be concerned, I died with him. That means I'm free, at least for now. (it's no big thing, just a simple gift)
Zevran: Feel free to sell it, or wear it... or whatever you'd like. It's really the least I could give you in return. (it's no big thing, just a simple gift)
Warden: So... not a token of affection, then?
Zevran: I... look, just... just take it. (taken off guard -- he's not used to discussing his feelings)
Zevran: It's meant a lot to me, but so have... so has what you've done. Please, take it. (awkward, embarassed)
Warden: I'll only take it if it means something.
Zevran: You are a very frustrating woman to deal with, do you know that? (exasperated)
Zevran: We pick up every other bit of treasure we come across, but not this. You don't want the earring? You don't get the earring. Very simple. (he gives up in frustration)
Edit: There's a limitation in the dialog with Zevran, and really with Alistair, that there are very few romance-specific dialogs. And Zevran's is a pretty harsh one, actually. But I also disagree that they were friends with benefits necessarily. There ARE choices, not only in his conversations, but in conversations with others about him, that suggest that he has always been more, and that it is mutual.
Second edit: The thing is, it can be played both ways, as a FWB situation, and as a committed situation from the start. There are dialogs to support both.
Third edit: @Sabriana I don't mind at all. Purple and Zevran do go together well

Well, I guess that's where we can agree do disagree, in my play-throughs (and my mind), the PC definitely falls in love with him, but unlike him, she has no problems acknowledging it with herself. At least the majority of mine don't. When they tell Wynne "He is special", they actually mean special as in 'more than a friend'.
What I meant was that you don't acknowledge it to him. He doesn't know what you tell Wynne, or what you acknowledge to yourself. I've tried it both ways - with a PC who didn't have much of a clue until the Landsmeet, and with one who did. Both worked for me. However, with the PC who acknowledges it themselves, you're left to think of a reason why they won't acknowledge it to him.

Yes, definitely. And I can see your point - I do understand why people would choose that option (I would have chosen it if it didn'd[t hurt him). I will always be influenced by my first playthrough, I think, and see things in that context. We're given very little dialogue (for the period of time over which the game is set, I mean) and even with the toolset comments, it's open to interpretation. I don't think there is one right way to play it. I'm just puzzled that what seem the most obvious route for almost everybody else doesn't feel right to me. (Yes, I have played it over and over, with all the variations, just to check.). And I love talking about it, endlessly!

The thing is, you have a man who is terrified of falling in love. I do not think he'd respond well to being told how special he is. Just as he shows his feelings with actions, I think the PC's actions also show him. When you side with him when he speaks up against Harrowmont, for instance, you are letting him know that his advice is valued. When you don't kill the werewolves because he asks you not to, same thing. Same with the elven slaves.
Granted, you can do all that as a friend as well, but as a lover you do go the additional step and let him know that it's not his past that is important to you, that you still want him.

I know Ruck doesn't want to die, but with all the information in lore, codex, and from the dwarfs it is clear that Ruck would suffer greatly and die a horrendous death if allowed to continue the downward spiral.
With me, the earring talk starts out as almost banter-like, turns into a 'no big deal', but then it suddenly turns into something serious. His whole demeanor changes. And now my PC wants to know the truth. However, he's not ready yet to voice it, so she backs off the earring. Is there something there or not? She knows she loves him, but he seems to try and push it away from him.
But I agree, there should be at least a line/sentence where the PC can tell Zevran that he means quite a lot to her, that her feelings go far beyond mere friendship and sex.
I picked AW as the second spec, Ramante. However, my mage does wear armor, so it's all good. I do agree with you, your mage girl is far to hot to cover her up with armor
Thank you Ejoslin, you are so right, purple and Zevran - who can resist that.

@Ejoslin, I didn't reach the Alienage yesterday, so I didn't experience the bug. I'll install a new version and see how it goes. However, your mod does mess with Alistair's dialog patch. Nothing serious so far, but there was a weird bug when I initiated the conversation with Alistair. He started his "I want to ask you something personal" talk, but it ended after this first line and then everything was fine. I disabled Alistair's Dialog patch for now.

ejoslin- Yep, I downloaded v1.1. I was going to endorse it, but silly DANexus forces you to wait 3 hours. I'll do it today, though! And don't worry about switching them- what Zevran says there would fit perfectly with my CE, but I don't think she'll be romancing him right then anyway (I know, blasphemy!). Great mod, though! Now I can't wait to see what Charsen's doing there.

Not a bad idea to check with a different scanner. TrendMicro and BitDefender have online scanners, or you can try one of the other free ones like AntiVir or Avast.
I want to delete the file, but I'm afraid my pc will completely crash once I do that.
Anyone knows if I can delete the smss.exe file? It's from the Windows/system map, so it must do something (good). I found somethings about it on the intenet, but I stil don't know what to do with it..
Scan is still busy, so don't know if it will come up with a solution at the end.

Hmmm, the file I changed shouldn't mess with that at all. Very odd. The changes I made only interfere with Shianni's dialog. I made two major changes to the Shianni dialog. One, I set a flag so that Alistair's line only triggers if he's in a romance, and the other (which is what I messed up) I moved (well, at first deleted, doh which is what caused the error -- there was no place for the conversation to go) a [continue] from Zevran's response to Alistair's and added dialog choices to Zevran's. The file doesn't touch any of the Alistair romance conversations.
I wonder about things like that. Very odd. But if it works without my file and not with it, there's something more going on for sure.
@Sabriana Consider it done. I'll have it up in a few minutes

Zevran: His mind is gone, and his body will soon follow. I have seen victims of poisoning in better shape. (disdainful)
Warden: He may not live as we do, but that's no reason to kill him.
IF you fail the persuade check (medium persuade, very easy to pass):
Zevran: That is not my point. (cold)
Zevran: He is no longer who he used to be. If his sanity were intact, he wouldn't want this. (with distaste)
Zevran: I suppose you will do as you wish. (giving up)
