Are you teasing me, Ejoslin? I mean, please, don't get my hopes up, my heart is already flip-flopping at the thought of more Zevran in the tower.

Yes, please. I'd love that.

Ejoslin, there is no file there. Or is it just on my end? I'd really like to try it out, although it isn't pressing. My mage just finished Ortan Thaig. What else is new. A great mod comes along picking up where I just finished, pfeh.

Sorry. Fix'd now.  I forgot to make it available to everyone.

Edit: this won't give you more Zevran.  It will just allow you to agree with him.

Thanks for checking guys. The other two paths in the picture is the same virus but only in my backup files, my program has deleted those so that's fixed.

Another possibility is if you do have System Restore points before you think you got infected you might restore from those and then delete other restore points and do a system scan.  If that's the legitimate file and it's been corrupted or if the original file has been overwritten your Windows install could be fuxxored and your computer might not be able to reboot.  If Kaspersky or another virus scanner agrees it's a Trojan and you don't have a restore point or don't want to restore, I'm in over my head and I'd direct you to a site like Bleeping Computer where they have real experts!

I'll try that. My pc makes a restore point every week, so it is easy to go back.
Thanks for checking all this stuff for me, I'm terrible when it comes to this kind of technical things. ^^'

To me, that's more Zevran, lol. I always wondered why there was no way to agree with him. Especially after such an heartfelt plea. I mean, even if I were determined to kill the mages, that speech would turn me around.

As it stands, I just pretend. Because it gets me more Zevran ;)

LOL at "I AM part of the community, but hell, I'm outraged anyway." So true.

Edit: Or maybe have it loop to a frustrated cullen dialog instead.

Loop it to Cullen. Especially for those people who killed off Wynne before going into the Fade (you still get this chat, right? I've never done it...). But mostly just to avoid Wynne's self righteousness outdoing Zevran's empathy. :P

Ok Sabriana, I just added in two places, "Zevran, you are right," then it loops to Cullen. Any wording changes, let me know, and any problems, let me know.. I'll upload it in a minute!

Edit: It didn't flow well.  So now, you get "Perhaps you're right" at the end, then it loops to Cullen and you get a few dialogs from him.

Try that... or you could just try a brute force method and simply overwite the smss.exe. Although this does depend on if your running 32 or 64 bit Windows XP if I can help you or not.

[list=1][*]Click Start, and then click Run.[*]Type winmsd.exe,
and then click OK.[*]When System Summary is selected in the navigation
pane, locate Processor under Item in the details pane. Note the value.

[*]If the value that corresponds to
Processor starts with x86, the computer is
running a 32-bit version of Windows.

[*]If the value that corresponds to
Processor starts with ia64 or AMD64,
the computer is
running a 64-bit version of Windows.

If your running on 32 bit, I can upload my smss.exe and you can just overwrite the file. It's only used at startup from what I gather so it shouldn't cause any issues, but create a system restore point before overwriting just in case.

Maybe something like, "You're right. Killing the mages would accomplish nothing." ?

Stolen.  The way it's set up, you're not going to get his entire plea.  There are a few routes that if you go down, it's pretty much set.  BUT you will not have the option at the beginning to agree with him.  But if you take the persuade check or tell him to hush, you're committed.

ejoslin, you're becoming super modder! Hopefully I will soon be back in a position to test stuff. I'd say I'm on withdrawal, but at least I'm getting other stuff done. If I find out all my game saves are gone, THEN I'll be on withdrawal. Or, more like complete brain fry.

Yay, thanks Ejoslin. Now I can agree with Zevran. I don't care about Wynne, I dump her as soon as my PC is out of the fade anyway.
Morrigan does just as well, she gets the SH spec whether she wants it or not. If she's not far enough along to specialize, she gets the healing spell, and I have my PC pack lots of potions, just in case.

32-bits it is.

Scan is still going... how long can it take seriously. o.o'
At this point I'm transferring all important files (game saves, school stuff) to an exterior hard drive. So if I mess up I won't loose all my important stuff. x.x

Ok. I changed my mind. I made it possible to change your mind at the last minute. There is no approval gain attached to this, though. It's not like the Dalish where he feels a personal connection.

Sounds good! But darn it, that makes TWO achievements I won't be able to get because of Zevran's pleading. It's impossible to resist. :(

And I agree that you should make a complete "Zevran dialogue fixes" mod, since you're getting quite a few now! I know it would have more issues with compatibility, but hopefully those will get fixed over time. Well, either way, I love all the fixes you've been doing!

That's IT! I must think of something to mod now--this food-for-modders nonsense is getting out of control!

By the way, ejoslin, I've been meaning to ask--are you able to find Alistair's post-Landsmeet breakup in the toolset? I've searched through every dialogue I can find and haven't seen it...

Ok, Sabriana, since this is for you, do you want the option to back out if you pass the persuade check as well? I kind of think not, but if you want it there as well, I can put it in there.

edit: @Nonvita it is in party_events.

Second edit: Oh what the hell, I'll put it there as well.  LOL, I can take it out, but this is for people who want all the Zevran, all the time.  And you do get additional dialog lines.

I'll upload my smss.exe and PM you the link.

Let the scan finish just incase it can heal it when its done, if not  make sure you have everything important backed up,  create a SysRes then overwrite the file, then reboot your system and hope everything works...<_<

Yeah, yeah, put it there. If it's not too hard that is. I can picture some of mine thinking it over again and agreeing with him after all. It must come as a surprise to some of mine to hear this plea from Zevran, especially because he was just trapped in a bad nightmare.

I'm glad about the approval. He's too hard to keep down anyway. So getting neither approval nor disapproval is entirely a good thing.

Well, it seems to work. What I did was added the two lines "I made my decision" which takes you to Morrigan/Sten/Cullen and their comments when you agree to kill the mages. The other one is, "You're right. Killing the mages would accomplish nothing." This should work, though I am not sure about the disapproval flags. Let me know if there's a problem. I don't want to lose approval if you've passed the persuade check even though if you don't and still agree to kill them, you will.

Too true! Even my HN who pretty much ****ed at him and ignored him most of the game managed to get him up to +95 with only a few non-Zevran gifts and no romance. Anyone who's actually nice can get him up to +100 in the blink of an eye!

And party_events, hmmm? I swear I looked in there five times, at least! Ah well, I'll look again tonight--it's not like I need more excuses to play with the toolset. :P

Ok.  Here's the mod.  You can now let Zevran talk you into it.  Let me know if there's any changes that need to be made!

Edit: And this is just data base work.  I'm not even scripting.  It's very easy.  I used to do this on much less intuitive software.  What Charsen is doing, I could not do.  THAT is tricky!

Ohh, thank you, thank you so much, Ejoslin. I need to go play now. My mage is in Orzammar, and we're moving up to the earring, yay. After that one, I have to start again. Hmmm, a rogue perhaps? Yeah, I know. I'm addicted to HNFs. What can I say. I still have my dwarf girl waiting, and I really want to try a CE. I want to see her kick butt, yeh.

My dalish is further along than I remembered. I thought he was still in Lothering, but he's traipsing around Haven. I should be ashamed of myself for neglecting the poor guy so. But believe it or not, I do like him very much, and Morrigan is very..., interesting.

Ramante- recommend that you clear your system restore (turn it off and then on again) once you run this clear and verify functionality. The reason being - malware/trojans can utilize the system restore to reinfect.

Persuade check works as it should. However, there's no approval gain no matter what, and a 5 point approval loss if you side with Cullen.
