o_O, How can a gorgeous hunk of elf like Alessar look yikes-like? Really, my PCs would hit it, lol. (Well, except my dalish, who's fallen very hard for Morrigan, the silly sod).

Ramante, our government isn't doing too well either. Perhaps the two are related? People complain left and right, and I get to point and laugh, and say "I told you so, hehe. I can hold my head up high, I didn't vote for any of the clowns."

Artemis and Apollo. Hmm, has a nice ring to it. I once made an archer named 'Athena' for Oblivion. No owls though. Bummer.

I loved Greek mythology in school, and figured if I was gonna do a bunch of archers, I'd have to make Artemis and Apollo. When I go to warriors, I'll make Ares and Athena. Mages, likely Demeter and Persephone, though they might have to wait for Awakening to get the Keeper spec.

Yeah, I love mythology, but I'm partial to the German/Alemannic/Norse mythology. I wonder why. lol.

But their names are pretty hard to pronounce even for us, the Greek and Roman ones flow much easier. Although Wodan/Wotan, Donar, Freya, Frige, Tyr, et al, aren't as famous as their Greek/Roman counterparts.

I almost named my dalish 'Aurvandil' but then decided that a dalish elf has nothing in common with a giant wanderer of the night, or a star.

My son has taken over my game and I now have the flu that he is finally getting over.  He started a HNF yesterday and is already finishing up Redcliff.  He informed me that he was making a female character because if he had to look at her for 80+ hours she was going to be cute.  I may finally see the human noble ending.  My male elf will not be finishing until that amazing kiss is available.  

Now to clean the peanut oil and charcoal off the dog.  She managed to all but destroy the BBQ in her quest for squirrels this morning.

You'd be surprised. A lot of people know of Odin, Thor and Loki at the very least. And, anyone who likes Marvel Comics knows of the Asgard gods. Hellfires, they're working on a Thor movie right now.

Ooooh, fellow mythology buffs   (Not too surprising on a fantasy game forum, but it's fun to talk about, anyway XD)  Greek (a bit moreso than Roman), Norse, Hindu, Egyptian, Babylonian, s'all good stuff. XD

Aww, he'd be blushing right now.   And I really don't know, it's the weirdest thing... some angles just do noooot look right.  I'm wondering if it's a camera effect, like when you take a picture of something from too close and it gets sort of distorted? :/

Aye, I've always been interested in mythology and ancient religions. Greek and Egyptian are my favorites. And Romans just stole the Greek gods and gave em meaner dispositions and new names.

O.o.. I think Artemis is caught in a glitch. She's in Redcliffe, has protected the Windmill path, was sent down to the town. Now the damned things are coming down the Windmill path again!

Edit: I've reloaded the Autosave that happens when you go from Windmill path to Town Proper. Hope that fixes it.

Edit2:  Yep, that fixed it. That was lulsy >.>

Oh no, Sami Jo. I'm sorry to hear that. About you being ill now, and your dog wrestling with the BBQ leading to unfortunate results. Bad squirrels, bad, bad squirrels.

About the dwarf kiss, I wish someone would make a video. Hint? What hint? That wasn't any kind of hint. Really. Just pondering.. things.

Anders, well, you know, Zevran thighs are just superior, and no one can reach it (the superiority, I mean. Sheesh). I prefer Nathaniel over Anders any time. I was bored and started skimming a fanfic about Nathaniel and a HNF. I stopped as soon as I read that this writer had her PC in a liason with Zevran in Origins. He just "up and left without a word, and the PC never heard from him, ever". Also this PC figured that the Zevran attraction was based on "sex and alcohol". So the PC "felt badly, and decided to take the earring off, cutting all ties." Bullocks. I am getting a bit tired of all the 'Zevran dumping' in favor of Alistair/Nathaniel/etc. Apologies to the writer if she reads this, but the wrong interpretations of Zevran (wrong in my imagination/head/play-style, not wrong as in "you're not doing it right") are really going on my nerves badly.

Yay, for mythology. I've not done any reading about it for such a long time, but I really should get back to it. And I so agree about the Romans stealing the Greek god(desses) and re-fashioning them a bit to fit their style.

I suppose if someone decides that 1) they like Nate better than Zevran, 2) Zevran must have voluntarily and relatively easily left the PC, or 3) BioWare is never bringing Zevran back   , they can work with that as they choose, but that's really depressing...

Hahahaha, yes... I would have been perfectly happy with a Gaga icon (especially the Pokerface one!), but noooo, I got Legend of the Seeker, which I've never even seen.

Pretty good -- they changed people's signatures too -- but I feel ripped off. XD

I'd so love to translate this, but it's an old, old children's song, and consoles kids if they get hurt. It's in the Rhineland dialect and goes sort of like:

(told you so, it's utter nonsense but very soothing)

I think it's even mentioned in some of the quasi-history tales about the Roman Empire that they simply took the Greek gods, they even revered Greece and hated it at the same time. Silly Romans.

I now have one clean dog who just tried to throw herself from a second story window to get the squirrels. Thankfully, the screen slowed her progress so she didn't make it out the window before I caught her. This dog is going to be the death of me. She is allergic to everything and as dumb as a rock. This is her first spring on the east coast and the squirrels are going to make her little head explode.



I'm not sure who my son will romance, if anyone. Honestly, he is very much like a real-world Allistair, so I'm guessing it will be Lelianna. He is innocent/clueless enough that I'm not sure the whole lesbian thing will even occur to him.
