ok that god awful "armor sets stop working for no reason" glitch is killing my urge to replay this game



is *&^!&*^!%#^%!^@%& terrible expecially when NONE of my dwarves armor sets work any more ZERO I just loaded up a game where the armor set was working before and now its not

@Charsen If you have Zevran kneel, would that help with the height difference? I'm sure you thought of that already actually, but I love it when he kneels to kiss the dwarf!

It let me buy points, it just wouldn't let me buy the actual DLC without erroring out with some message about the points system not being available. Someone said it's working via the downloadable content area of the game though, so that should be fine.

Oh!  I'm way late and this is recycled since all my Zevsquee is stopped cold by our PC failure (*hopes against hope that it will be fixed before the long weekend*), but, um... better late and repeat than never?



Screenshots soooo don't do that kiss justice. 

And kids... well, I chose career/seeing the world over the whole settling down thing in my 20s, and now that I'm in my 30's with 40 in sight, that ship has pretty much sailed.  I don't think I could do the 3am feeding thing for love or money.  There's always adoption, I guess.  As a friend of mine said, adopt 'em when they're almost old enough to nip down to the pub with you and it solves a lot of problems.

addai, adoption is a good choice.

i am one of those guys who actually does like kids, was raised with many cousins of all ages. but that is not in the cards for me. though, i did donate to a bank last year, so perhaps there is a little terror out there. =)

Oh dear.  I don't mind - I can see how that would work.  It's just that in my head, her character just wouldn't have been able to see the truth.  It's funny how people see it so differently.   Poor Zevran, falling in love over and over in all these alternative universes, and usually getting used and dumped. 

I was intrigued by Nathaniel.   I wasn't particularly taken by his looks, but his voice got to me.

It's a funny thing, how deeply Zevran falls in love, yet you still get those fanfics where he was using the warden. My guess -- most people don't see the actual ending of the romance. They get the earring and think it's done. Especially the way the dialog went at the City Gates. If you don't get him declaring his feelings, I can see how you can interpret the whole thing differently.

Edit: but when I heard him say, "Everything I have been taught says what I feel is wrong.  Yet I cannot help it."

OMG.  That STILL gets me after hearing it I don't know how many times.  It is far far deeper than any "I love you" could be coming from him.

Oh by all means!  I can tell you what I find so appealing about it- the head grab.  I believe ejoslin likes the fact that Zevran kneels and that there's that moment (shown above) where he's just focused on her face.  While all that is great, it's his abrupt head grab, the fact that it goes so fast (which makes it seem more passionate), and that he then holds her head while he's kissing her that makes it so hot.

This all is a SCIENCE, don't you know!

Any time Zevran does a head grab, I like it.  More head grabs below.  (Alistair is sadly devoid of head grabs.   )

Well, I think so, though I'm a bit superstitious/wistful about blood ties.  Maybe the Irish in me.  And I do wish that they made it easier to adopt in the US.  It seems that it's almost easier and cheaper to go overseas.

Yay, DA is installed on my pc again and.. my save files are working. Everytime I transfer save files from pc to laptop or vice versa I'm afraid something will go wrong. Thank god, they are fine.

Installing DA has taken me 5 hours, kinda sad really..

Here are the pictures of the Zevran items:













He has 4 different animations after he drinks the brandy. Each drink moves him onto the next. The first one is hard to capture, and sort of makes him look like he's detoxing, just small twitches.











The last resets him, after he stands up again.

I would have edited but eh. I find it ironic (or typical, or perhaps both), that so far the only item that returns to a gift state once you take it off is Zevran's belt. That means that you can drive his approval down to -100 nearly instantly and the brandy, once used, becomes a usable item and will not give the +50 to boost it back up.

Also, Zevran and Shale (so far) are the only ones who make no comments when you give them their "gifts".

Edit: Okay this one I will edit. The soap is a gift for Oghren but turns into an item usable by anyone, have Zev use it and he will... wash his face (the animation is going for that, but it looks a bit odd since there's no foam - although it's sort of lulzy when he runs his hand over his hair).

Is the chastity belt mean to be as kinky as it actually is?
(ETA: Just read your post above, Sresla, and I suppose that if it drives his approval down it's not meant to be kinky in the erotic orgasm control sense.  What a shame.    Although if he disapproves so much, why does he let you put the belt on him in the first place, never mind lock it?  I suppose it's one way to get to hear the 'one evening in Antiva' dialogue)

Kissing - it's the head grab rather than the kneeling for me. Any sort of headgrabbing and face touching is lovely.

I really like the effect of the difference in height in the human male gate kiss scene. I think that I would prefer a standing kiss for the female dwarf so that the height difference shows in the same way.

They did make some weird noise in my game, sounded like a glitch.
Also, I intend to use Zevran's belt to bring him to <70 approval before Telisen's encounter, so I could see him leaving the fight for once. I know, I know, I could just use console, but... meh

Nope, it's a (kinda lame) nod to my username. ;D  She needs some redoing, though, but this was as good as I felt like I could do in the Character Creator.  The Toolset is called for.

Now see, that's what I would have thought as well, all the gifts and their corresponding boost item gives -50 for the give (so there's -50 for giving him the belt) and then +50 for the make-up item (the brandy). Knowing Zev though, I'm not certain if he'd actually VIEW a belt as being all that bad, insomuch as he knows exactly who has the key and it could be quite fun getting them to the point where they... need to unlock it... :innocent:

Edit: More unfairness! Sten gets a (short) cutscene when reading from his prayerbook (his make-up gift). Leliana will play very short tunes on her lute. Wynne's old lady stick summons a cat (Different ones, so far I've gotten Fluffykins, Wicked, Russell & Mittens - wouldn't it have been a riot if it'd been Ser Pounce-A-Lot) and her amulet summons people ghosts (Petra, Aenirin, Greagior, Irving and a Templar Guard  [probably Cullen, the stance is similiar]). Alistair gets a puppet and toy horse (animation is horrible, highly creepy as if the eye thing weren't enough) and of course, Morrigan's Alistair voodoo doll wins the day because it actually makes him cry out in pain when she uses it.
