Edit: More unfairness! Sten gets a (short) cutscene when reading from his prayerbook (his make-up gift). Leliana will play very short tunes on her lute.

And you can play fetch with your dog ^_^ Or make Zevran do it!

Now see, that's what I would have thought as well, all the gifts and their corresponding boost item gives -50 for the give (so there's -50 for giving him the belt) and then +50 for the make-up item (the brandy). Knowing Zev though, I'm not certain if he'd actually VIEW a belt as being all that bad, insomuch as he knows exactly who has the key and it could be quite fun getting them to the point where they... need to unlock it... :innocent:

Now that is a delicious idea. X3
But yes -- I would imagine, in a high-level romance (Adore or Love), he'd probably find that more amusing than disapproval-worthy. Image IPB

I tried to play Oblivion, but I hate first person games :(

Heh, I had the opposite reaction when I started playing DA.  I still prefer the first person perspective myself.  More immersive, and I really don't need to look at my character's ass for hours on end.

It's not so much the behind view/but the 3/4 above view I prefer.  It's just bewildering to be first person.

Q: In a battle of wills, who would lose, Zevran or the person who locked the belt?
A: (Hint: Not Zevran)

I imagine he'd just get Leliana to lockpick it. Or try to do it himself. But Zevran is resourceful, I bet he'd be able to work around the belt lol

I think, given the characters I have to work with, I'll have to pass on writing that one...  *nudge, nudge*

I paid, and now I realize, they have just made the approval system worthless! *grin* I'll uninstall them. But they were good for the laughs.

the approval system was ruined by the hilarious amount of gifts any ways

oh noes I murdered a child infront of alistair! -10 approval... oh alistair theres a toy for you to play with Alistair approves +20

the Nwn2 system was better IMO since you couldent manipulate it as much since you only got it from cutscenes/conversations

That's a good point.  I don't like using gifts to raise approval anyway.  But with these I may as well quit using the console.  I'm going to do another Royal Scandal playthrough, but harden Alistair and THEN get him hostile so I can see him do a hostile marriage.  It won't be a challenge with the gifts!

Well, I bought them. I haven't had much time tonight so have only had a brief look. I found that Zevran will have sex with the chastity belt on, and his approval goes up as usual, which raises all sorts of questions. That was funny, but when I gave him the brandy to get him back up he ended up at 'warm' instead of 'adore'. I bumped him down again with the belt, putting it on and unlocking it until he became hostile. Got the evening in Antiva City conversation. At 100 hostile, he left and stayed when I persuaded him, but then ended up killing me at the next conversation because I didn't have the heart to fight back. My journey ended. I felt disturbed.

Meanwhile, I'd bumped Morrigan up to love, and got the love conversations. She reminds me of Zevran, a little - only a little.

I don't think I could use these in a normal playthrough. I think I'll find them most fun for just seeing how the companions react at the extremes on saved games, and getting some dialogues that I've missed.

That's a pretty wicked conversation (the evening in Antiva), and I think it's worth hearing at least once.

But him leaving/ killing you... :crying:

How would you RP this one? Starting out quite friendly with Al then going to hostile... lol.

How would I roleplay it? THAT'S easy. I wouldn't even need to use many gifts, actually. I'd be his friend, Get him to 71+ with dialog and a couple of gifts. This would be with a bit of a party girl, I think. She'd flirt a bit with her buddy, not thinking anything of it, and when he handed her a rose, would be all like, "And you give me a FLOWER? Brilliant plan!" Alistair takes that pretty hard. So now she's neutral, and she's shocked that she lost a friend. And starts to really question his ability to make decisions.

I suppose she could make a side trip to Denerim before actually heading into the village of Redcliff -- killing Conner really is the best way to get a massive approval drop.

/cry. I love it when he kneels down to kiss the dwarf. There's just something so sweet about that, and so sexy at the same time.

See, the prooooblem is that I don't think the physics line up.  As we've said elsewhere, the femdwarf is not that much shorter than Zevran:

Image IPB

So, if he were to kneel down, he'd be in line to kiss some other parts Image IPB, but not her lips.  Here's the kneeling again:

Image IPB

So, in order for the femdwarf kiss to line up that way, she would have to be sitting down.  I get that they probably couldn't work the animation so that Zevran is bending over to kiss her, so they have to kind of magically make her taller or shorter.  But mentally you still have to fudge it.

Plus, I just like the head grab.  As aforementioned, ad nauseum, until I've embarrassed myself completely.

Ah, that's a good point, Addai67. Ok, I will leave this all up to the experts in this, because I am NOT visual or creative or anything of the sort!

Edit: Took out my offer when I realized just how many mods that would actually interfere with!

Whew, lots of pages to catch up on!

Kids? I've got another ~10 years, I figure. Totally not in a rush. May never get nieces and nephews, either, since my brother is determined he'll never get married and is very depressed about it... That's a different story though.

And I'm 5'8", so tall for a girl. Means I can never wear high heels, especially since my boyfriends have always ended up being the same height as me...

Sami Jo, your son sounds like the most ridiculously adorable kid ever. Please, if he gets Zevran's massage offer, you must tell us how he reacts. This is priceless.

My computer at work got the stupid Antivirus XP virus. I hate this computer so much.

The scanner at work can only scan to .tif images, so I'm not sure how I'll upload my drawing to DA... Hmmm... Speaking of DA, I was going to make an account today, so I wonder if I'll get a weird avatar. PLEASE not Team Edward/Team Jacob, though I'd rather have Edward only because it's hilarious how much Robert Pattison hates the books and hates the character.

Hmm, this April Fools pack looks interesting, though there's certainly no use for it in game. Good idea using it to get extremely low approvals, though. I'll have to think about it. Chastity belt, huh? Well now, that does sounds like fun. Who's going to write it? :D

FYI Nonvita, according to the toolset, Zevran is roughly 1.7m ~5'7". so no highheels with him either. =P

edit: i will investigate dwarf options probably tomorrow afternoon, but i'm sure there are poses that will be sqweepproved

Nonvita, I'm 5'7, but my husband is 6'1, so heels are NOT out for tall women! My best friend (a guy) is 6'4 (oh, he's hot too, and single, and is such a pig). Even my women friends are all pretty tall. I don't think of 5'8 as that tall -- I'm one of the shorter people I know.

Surely he can't be that tall?

(ETA: Zevran, not Ejoslin's friend.   I typed too slow!)

Hm, I always figured he was ~5'5", considering the human females are reasonably taller than him. Does that make them 5'10"?
Edit: Unless he's supposed to be a little taller than the default elf model, maybe?

Ah well, I seem to have a thing for guys that height/build, and no idea why. I think I go for girly guys because I have too much testosterone in me. Long ring fingers are supposed to mean that...

(*BS conjecturing)
(**not that I'm saying Zev is a girly guy)

Well, my boyfriend is 5'8" also. But then he slouches. I was the ballerina and he was the boxer, so even without heels I appear taller than him...

And wow, ejoslin, twins? I'm so in awe of people who are good with kids. Me? Not so much... But I do enjoy squeeing over other people's children. :P

Hmmm, now I'm wondering about heights. I always figured that the human male was about 6', the human female about 5'10, elf males about 5'6 elf females about 5'4 and dwarves about 5'. I need to find this info! It's hard to tell, though, because of camera angles and uneven ground.

Edit: I am really lucky that I have good kids, I think.  They're pretty easy to get along with, anyway.  And they are funny, which helps a lot.  Of course, to get along with my husband and me, you probably DO need a good sense of humor, so it all works out.
