And regarding the DA heights... I always thought along the same lines as Ejoslin. It seems like the humans are supposed to be on the tall side, elves on the average height side, and dwarves on the shorter end (though certainly still over 5')

FYI Nonvita, according to the toolset, Zevran is roughly 1.7m ~5'7". so no highheels with him either. =P
he does not look 5'7 to me in game :3
Hm, I always figured he was ~5'5", considering the human females are reasonably taller than him. Does that make them 5'10"?
Edit: Unless he's supposed to be a little taller than the default elf model, maybe?
Ah well, I seem to have a thing for guys that height/build, and no idea why. I think I go for girly guys because I have too much testosterone in me. Long ring fingers are supposed to mean that...
(*BS conjecturing)
(**not that I'm saying Zev is a girly guy)ejoslin wrote...
Nonvita, I'm 5'7, but my husband is 6'1, so heels are NOT out for tall women! My best friend (a guy) is 6'4 (oh, he's hot too, and single, and is such a pig). Even my women friends are all pretty tall. I don't think of 5'8 as that tall -- I'm one of the shorter people I know.
Well, my boyfriend is 5'8" also. But then he slouches. I was the ballerina and he was the boxer, so even without heels I appear taller than him...
And wow, ejoslin, twins? I'm so in awe of people who are good with kids. Me? Not so much... But I do enjoy squeeing over other people's children.
I used to go for girly guys, but my partner has a prodigious beard, so I guess its more the everything else.
Children terrify me. My brother has four kids, three of them girls, all under seven. And they're unholy terrors.
Can't wait to get home and try these pranks out.... Most of them seem a little silly and thoughtless, but the makeup stuff looks pretty entertaining to me. But then, I would only ever use them with Cadryn, probably, and he has a bit of a stick up his ass most of the time.

Not too far from what I figured, but ah well, obviously there would be varying heights if not for the use of a single body model. I think Zevran might supposed to be slightly tall for an elf, while I always pictured Morrigan as being shorter. So who knows.

He finished Ostagar, went gift happy at camp, saw the "tent" option for Zev and came to ask me what that meant...again. He's still a little doped up on cold meds and I kind of had to spell it out for him. He turned a nifty shade of red when I offered to repeat "the talk" if he forgot what sex was. He went back to his game, I'm guessing he gave away some more gifts, and then clicked on Zev and got the massage offer. Captain innocent was very surprised when his "massage" turned into a sex scene (the vanilla one). The innuendo in Zev's dialogues has sailed right over his cute little head.
He then agonized over his response in the conversation after and finally went with the "love" response. He thought Zev's reply was, "really sad." He plans to stick with Zev for the whole run because it would be "mean" not to and, "it just wouldn't be right." to do otherwise. Allistair is apparently his long-lost twin brother. Funny, I don't remember an affair with a king...

I've wondered about the heights too. I imagine them all being a bit shorter than your estimates, Ejoslin, but maybe that's because I thought the female humans would be about my height and worked out the rest from there. Which would make Zevran under 5 feet. But playing as a dwarf, I felt Zevran was taller. 5' 10" does seem really tall for women (as an average, I mean) - I read that Ferelden was based on Scotland and the Scots aren't/weren't tall. But then I don't think the elves are meant to be tiny.

I'm barely 5' tall and my husband is 6'1" and easily has 100 lbs on me (and he isn't overweight). We look positively silly together. I usually go for relatively short, brunette, women with brown eyes and the only one of those he has is the brown hair; so yeah, definitely not all about the looks. ;-)

This makes me so gosh darn giggly. Your son is far too cute and innocent for his own good. But he's sticking it out with Zevran, so that can't be a totally bad thing!

And yet he picked up on the other lines of subtext from Zevran, which it seems some people miss/ignore... how very interesting. I think he might be more observant than he lets on.

It's a good thing he is so athletic because he would probably be teased half to death if he weren't.
It would be really mean of me to tell his gf about all of this, wouldn't it?

He is very sensitive to that sort of thing, it is just flirting and sexual innuendo that flies over his head. I'm not entirely certain why, but it seems to totally baffle him.

I would love to take credit for my child's incredible level of empathy, but he pretty much came this way. He used to cry when someone would step on a bug and he declared himself (and tried to enforce on us) a vegetarian at the ripe old age of three when he would steal my husband's hamburgers and wag his finger in my husband's face telling him, "No eat it the cow!" It's a good thing he is so athletic because he would probably be teased half to death if he weren't.

lol! Thanks for sharing your very giggle-worthy stories about your son's playthrough... it might be mean to tell his gf about this stuff, but only mean in a showing her baby pictures kind of way.

At least I've been very productive all day. My PC went nuts (progressively) due to her pretty much losing everything and then some she cares about, and her recruits decided it was time to do something about it.
So now I'm drawing a comic where Oghren, Nate and Anders round up all the old companions (well, not everyone, those whom they're able to convince, at least) and eventually travel to Antiva City to
I make my own "canon".
Edited because I can.

We haven't really pinpointed a place yet, we're still trying to sell stuff and get our visa's in order. We're moving in with a person who lives over there but she's moving, so we're waiting for her to settle down. But probably somewhere in Kyoto. We want to live in the city, but don't want to live in super-busy places like Tokyo or Osaka.
And I'm scrambling to learn as much Japanese as I can before we go, I think I started too late lol
