ejoslin, it's funny how similarly our CE first-time playthroughs turned out. Only difference is mine was so self-defeatist by the end that she convinced Alistair to keep her as mistress even while knowing it wouldn't work out, then planned to kill herself as soon as Riordan talked about it. So she didn't get to see the end of the Zevran romance, but somehow she'd glitched it back to love before the AD, so after Alistair killed himself in her stead Zevran was still there for her. And it's funny, too, because even without seeing any of the end of Zevran's romance, it was completely obvious that his feelings had grown so much deeper, and I just thought, "What on earth did I miss?!" Cue finding this thread and finding out so many amazing things with his romance thanks to you and everyone.
I also love that the original thread about becoming Queen (which it seems most people relied on) said that you HAVE to have Alistair at +100 Love to marry him. Funny how it was never corrected, and it seems as if few people even tried the political marriage route. But you were right, it was definitely more fun that way!
@CZ- *just* ejoslin's banner? =(
Annnnd now to finally get this stupid drawing uploaded...
For the longest time, I believed it had to be 100 love or 100 friendly. Someone clued me in, and I started testing how low I could take that approval. Answer -- -25 neutral. However, that's not entirely correct. I'm fairly sure if he is hardened, he will marry even at hostile unless that's bugged. Hmmm. I should check that out, actually. The thing is, it is difficult to get Alistair's approval high enough to harden him then get him hostile. NOT impossible, though.
