Terrible time to post this, but darn it I just want this done... It's been a long day. Didn't finish the armor because I ran out of time and hate drawing armor (*is used to drawing naked people*--from now on Zevran will only appear naked in anything I do), but you get the idea. Just read through the somewhat meaty description to understand what it's about.

Screen captures from toolset so the yellow boxes & scaffolding is just toolset rendering. I'll update it later, have to tweak the dialogue to fit the kiss in, and then test Alessar with it. I have no clue who the elf model is in my scene. I just picked one that had a large nose so i could estimate collisions. =P

I fully support this naked policy.

The lips seem a little... big?  It may just be how much darker they are than the rest of the face.  And the eyes a little small... but again, this may be an optical illusion, especially as I'm looking at it on a pocket-sized EEE! right now.  And in particular with how the lips look to me, that can seriously effect perception of eyes.  I love your lines and shading, though, particularly in the hair, which is beautifully textured.  Very clean and attractive lines and shading.  The line of blood is also a very nice touch.

Oh, I know, I saw it too. But I already tried adjusting the sizes and something just wasn't right. Could have spent more time fixing them but I decided to just go with it and get *something* done. Seeing as I've been unable to draw anything in four years, it seemed like an OK place to start... I'll probably try making a digital version eventually (if I can stop being such a dunce with Photoshop) and I'll fix the proportions then... For now, meh.

What with the different time zones, I've been waking up every morning to gorgeous screenshots.    What a way to start the day! 

Why did you make the kiss angled more from Zevran's point of view rather than the warden's?   Was it just because he'd be hidden by human armour from the warden's angle?  Whatever the reason, I love it.   It's really different from the other kisses I've seen in the game.

i am working on a master's in computer science on top of my useless undergrad degrees (geophysics/geochemistry & geoarchaeology) planned to go for planetary geology originally... but that field is dried up with lifetime appointments and the field is not very big and i'm not keen to teach. Other jobs available for the degree? exxon, shell, haliburton... so... yeah.

Now i will do the next best thing and go work on video games... i hope!

so... anyone have a rock they need identified? vertebrate fossils? explanation of the Milankovitch cycles? excavation of prehistoric trash heaps?

poor life choices. =(   but...great field trips, at least.

LOL! Sounds about as useful as East Asian Studies + IR.  But it did allow me to study abroad in Japan, and fieldtrips to Dim Sum are cool, I guess...

And they're not prehistoric trash heaps, but LA has some lovely dumpsters you can dive in if you get really desperate.

fluvial was a pain in the ass though, good grief. looking back at the geo degree, i started it as a hobby since i collected rocks & fossils... i enjoy the breadth & depth of the education i received, and i graduated with high distinction, but it should have stayed a hobby. i gave my rock collection to my cousin last summer, i don't even like to look at them now.



Nonvita, my sister studied chinese. now she draws comic books. lol. how was Japan?

hot diggity dumpsters are my favorite... =/

I started off romancing Alistair on my first playthrough too. You're with him for quite a long time before you even meet Zevran, so he's the obvious choice for a straight female character. I actually felt quite romantic about him. I have lots of screenshots of him and my dwarf together in those early days (I am a sad person sometimes). I imagined that there would be a bond between them after what they'd been through together that would easily lead to romance. Not so.

I wasn't terribly good at choosing the right things to do and say so his approval didn't rise fast. The bond that I had thought was there - wasn't there. What really hurt was when I asked him to the tent, knowing that he knew I had nightmares and could do with some comfort, and not only did he refuse, but his approval dropped when I asked again. Yuck. I found he would only come to the tent if he was given gifts. That did wonders for my self-esteem.



Meanwhile, I'd picked up Zevran, and decided to go for Mr Right Now while I waited for Mr Right (so I thought). I took him theiving round Denerim with me, showed him how to pick a lock, took him in the bedrooms at the Gnarled Noble in the hope of dropping a hint, listened to his tales, and didn't feel I had to do all the right things or pick all the right answers. I could just relax and have fun. His approval went up, hugely, when I asked him to my tent, instead of down, and it continued to go up. It became clear that while with Alistair it was all about Alistair, with Zevran, it's all about the warden. So I ended up having to choose quite early on. I did look at both choosing and break-up dialogues and breakup dialogues, and Zevran's was so much more honourable, if that's the right word.



So I suppose he bowled me over very early on, as this all happened very quickly after meeting him. I do plan to play through the Alistair romance at some point, but I seem to be leaving the human female (my avatar here) that I planned to do it with in Ostagar, while I make new characters to romance Zevran all over again.

I studied fashion design and ended up in fashion. It's not glam or anything, I sit huddled over my wacom and designing textiles and print fabric, muttering like Gollum. After awhile you get heartily sick of drawing the same thing over and over andddddddd overrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yes i had to redo the entire elf animations due to the height difference. basically, when i tried to adjust the ones straight off the human male, it started doing things only Linda Blaire would appreciate

no doubt i will have to do something similar for the females, and I know the dwarves will also be unique. so basically each kiss will be a tiny bit different.

I still use my degree in the most mundane of settings, and I haven't given up yet.  Despite focusing on fluvial, most of my degree ended up being generic geoscience/geopolitics (blech), and supposedly there's a job for me with my state's Superfund cleanup when the state hiring freeze lets up...  Also, professional training in map reading is the most awesome skill, period, the end.  Except for eye lasers, but we didn't have a class in that.

She so clueless when it comes to romance, and she has had such an awful, lonely upbringing. She falls in love against her will. My warden who romanced her didn't realise that, and I missed out on the whole post-ritual conversation until I went back to test the City Gates mod, and happened to speak to her.

I love Morrigan so much. She's in second place as my favourite companion (Zev first, obviously!) I even love being her BFF and her calling my Missa Brosca "sister" at the gates I have Morrigan sympathy, as she didn't exactly have the brilliant of lives.

The Mahariel I made and romanced her got his heart ripped out and stomped on. He's muttering about "gods cursed shems!" And searching for her, in my head.

yeah, the state hiring freeze has been rough for my graduating class too. most of my geo class went into other fields entirely. really sad too since we all started with such a passion.

I romanced Alistair once on my xbox, but of course if you don't make him king and are in a romance with him, his dialogue is completely screwed up after the landsmeet (he thinks he's king...d'oh!). That play through was a human noble that didn't want any responsibility, she just wanted to stab things with her sword... she was very controlling, though, and preferred Al (who's a complete tool) to Zevran (who actually has a mind of his own).

It was really cool doing a Zevran-as-a-friend-playthrough (unfortunately for Al, Zev was still the highlight for me), but I was annoyed at how buggy the end of that run was. I ended up just reloading and making Al king (and my Warden queen) since he went on and on about it anyway (immersion breaking!).

I only romanced Al once on my PC version.... to check out his BSC. F5/F9! lol.

Never going to romance him again, probably. He bored me. I'd never date a virgin IRL... so, sorry Al. lol (am I a bad person? nah...)

Anyway, I love that you have a different view on a lot of the Zevran romance, Sannox. Makes for good conversation! And it gives me a new perspective, which I appreciate.

Oh-ho, see, my partner was Elec. Engineering/Physics/Math triple major, currently in grad school for more EE.  So I still get the lasers anyway!
