I got the DLC and all I can say was, well, it's cheap. I don't like having all those gifts available -- totally makes approval meaningless. I also am even MORE convinced that whoever is writing this stuff sees Zevran as the sex crazed perv that he is shown NOT to be in the game if you bother to get to know him.

BUT... not my story I suppose, so all I can do is stick with origins.

i should hopefully be done here in a few hours anyway... then back to zevran stuff. both female kisses tonight. i will try to do my best =P



yes, the DLC was cheap

but i bought it to encourage them to make more stuff for the companions. hopefully they will see that there is an interest

Well, yeh, he does come off as a sex crazed perv for sure, but you know as well as I do that there is so much more to that story.  I just wish whomever they had writing this stuff would take the REST of Zevran's story into account.

Hmmm, ok, a question here. I can easily fix the scripts around Alistair's flags so that you get proper dialog triggers based on his approval, but I cannot easily fix his dialog where he refers to himself as king even when he is not. The way the dark ritual is set up, if you're talking to Alistair, it is assumed he is king and there are no other alternatives. I tried just moving around options and skipping over parts where he says he's king, but that just gives me all sorts of ugly errors.



Should I bother changing the flags for his approval for the people who occasionally romance Alistair so they don't have to switch mods? Or when romancing Alistair, do people just prefer using Alistair one of the Alistair endgame mods?

btw Nonvita -- awesome pictures of Japan. looks like you had a great time. asian gardens are some of the most beautiful that i have seen. though my favorite picture is your host dad making udon. very quaint... and i'm hungry to boot.

ahwn, I already wrote an awesome fic about it, it was lulsy to write. Zevran destroys the "gift" in the end, though.

@Charsen and Ejoslin: There is some serious squee-age aimed towards the two of you as well-- completely platonic, food bearing squees of course.

The continuing saga of my son's game:  He is finally feeling mostly better, so his girlfriend joined him today.  This means I don't have to tell her about the cuteness--she is seeing it firsthand.  He finished Orzamar and the Dalish.  That meant that both Zev and Morrigan got their first plot gifts, and he was blown away by their reactions.  I think he is wishing he could romance Morrigan with this character.  His gf talked him into starting the Allistair romance. (She thought he was so cute...hardly surprising for someone who is dating my son. They even look a little alike!)  Zev called his PC on it and my son's gf told him to break up with Zev just to see how the other played out for a bit.  Then they saw the post-breakup convo and disapproval.  My son actually hauled me into the room to make sure that the massive approval hit wasn't a glitch (-43 I think).  I suggested he reload and dump Allistair instead just to compare (+7).   My son sat there looking at the screen for a few minutes and said, "Wow, your character really is everything to Zevran, isn't she. That's sad."  They reloaded from before he turned the romance on and are sticking with Zev, so apparently I've created two more Zev fans.   He also got ninja-loved by the crazy bard.  his opinion of her wasn't high before the ninja-loving.  "She's all squealy and what's with the shoes."

The gruesome twosome is currently at the gauntlet doing the bridge puzzle with Oghren, Zev and Shale.  My son can't stop laughing at Oghren and Shale.  I think he is going to abscond with the Xbox and do another runthrough with a male character.

That would be wonderful.  All of the Allistair mods muck with the story too much.  I keep meaning to finish my HNF playthrough, and she will probably romance Allistair.
