Because shoes are awesome, that's why. Shoes mean you can plan an outfit around them. Shoes are for everyone, and even fat girls can buy expensive shoes and not feel ashamed or hate themselves because they fit.

Shoes shops, to certain women, create the same OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH feeling you got when you were a kid and you walked past Toys R Us or a Disneyland. Shoes, especually high heel ones may hurt ( "beauty is pain," as my Grandmother used to say) but they make you look and feel fabulous- they make you walk taller, with your stomach in and your shoulders back, and oh god the strut.

You are there so that when the ones who *should* have had their behinds glued to your office chair for help but never came around are grumbling about their awful grade at the end of the semester, your department chair can point out that they *could* have gone in for help and did not. (speaking from experience.  I use office hours as grading time.)

I can easily fix the scripts around Alistair's flags so that you get proper dialog triggers based on his approval, but I cannot easily fix his dialog where he refers to himself as king even when he is not. The way the dark ritual is set up, if you're talking to Alistair, it is assumed he is king and there are no other alternatives. I tried just moving around options and skipping over parts where he says he's king, but that just gives me all sorts of ugly errors.

Should I bother changing the flags for his approval for the people who occasionally romance Alistair so they don't have to switch mods? Or when romancing Alistair, do people just prefer using Alistair one of the Alistair endgame mods?

That would be wonderful.  All of the Allistair mods muck with the story too much.  I keep meaning to finish my HNF playthrough, and she will probably romance Allistair.

The Alistair mods ARE pretty game-changing.  I was going to talk to one of the authors about a collaboration but after reading the changes they did... no.  I probably will contact them at some point to see if I could use their changes to the redcliff before final battle changes if I can't figure out how to get those king references out of there.  I'm cleaning up the flags right now, though, as I type.  The ONLY thing I can think is that they hired some temp workers who lied about their credentials or something.

Edit: And sami jo, your son sounds wonderful!  I love the way he and his gfriend reacted to the Zevran breakup!

ok soignee i get it! i only have 4 pairs of shoes. winter shoes, sneakers, summer sandals and... well i bought my last pair of shoes only because doctor who wears them

i used to have dress shoes, but i losted them

He got the massage scene and the thought that any massage technique learned in an Antivan wh***house would likely not be g-rated didn't occur to him.  He was more than a little shocked when his character was having sex instead of getting a back rub.  Obviously he was happily shocked because I have heard the special music a few times now.

Atton got even more bonus points when I played through with the restoration project installed and I saw his death scene it was tragic but unlike Carth in KoTOR1 who runs off like the little ***** he is when Revan turns evil, Atton stands his ground when faced with a not so happy Darth Sion

I don't get the shoes thing at all.  Then again, I also don't get the jewelry thing or most of the other girly things.  My husband's wedding ring was more expensive than mine.  I'm not butch or anything, I'm just too practical.

And I give the ones who show up the answers too.  No comment on the easy part.  So how did your hunting go the other night?

My male Cousland doesn't even exist yet, so it's just some random guy for now. I looked up Atton and he looks good. I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but Kotor seems to be an entertaining game, I must try it.

Atton is from the sequel actually, and with the sequel you kind of need to get the restoration project installed because otherwise your going to get a glitchy incomplete game

with the restoration mod however the games made of win and awesome and the last 1/3 of the game actually feels complete and not broken and disjointed

Oooh, I loved Atton too.  I also really like Bao Dur.  I could have done without the Disciple.  I even liked Carth. I was decidedly unimpressed with the female companions in both KOTOR and KOTORII, though.

Oooh, I loved Atton too.  I also really like Bao Dur.  I could have done without the Disciple.  I even liked Carth. I was decidedly unimpressed with the female companions in both KOTOR and KOTORII, though.

I didn't like the Disciple either, mostly because he was "in-love" with the Exile, but he was really in-love with the fact that she was a jedi. I don't like the fact that it's easy to get approval with him by just being good. I once went through a playthrough "romancing" (because you can't really call it romancing) him without knowing it.
