Yeah... I hate that he says that when the Warden tells him that s/he loves him...

That's not a bug.  If you leave him at the gates, that is exactly his answer.

Edit: Leaving him at the gates didn't have incorrect dialog except one choice ("not this time, my friend" shouldn't have shown up) IF he was in love.  It was if you took him with you that you were getting the friendly dialog.

Ugh, I got that on the PC too, before ejoslin's gates fix.  I was like "?!!"  That was when I was trying to see what Zevran would say when left behind, though, so I thought that was what prompted that response.
Edit: right, okay, NOT a bug.  Still heartbreaking!

And... did someone order some Zevran thighs?

On a completely unrelated note, and to continue my child's ongoing game saga: he summed up the romance options very succintly.  Zevran is the only one who really wants you, but doesn't actually need you.  The rest are clingy, or, in Morrigan's case, actually using you even if she does change some. 

I think my child just figured out why I can't stand the other romances.

Sami jo, your son is incredible. Seriously, be proud. He may be a little dim sometimes, but he picks up on things 90% of people who play this game never figure out. And I'm glad his girlfriend just found it cute! Young love.


Edit: On an unrelated note, drawing is such a weird process. Doing these 25 expressions, especially...

I was considering Downloading the Character Creator just to fool around with it, but my brother informed me that it would take about 2-3hrs to download. Ew.

there is a bonus to the character creator: it saves your characters permanently so if you like a character you dont have to mod the game to start a new game with them

Ah, I see. But how did you upload your character to your avatar? Can consoles do that too?

Well, the PS3 does have a WiFi connection, and I have an account here, so if I have my DA:O game logged into my account it eventually updates.

I definitely got a good one. He was going through what he thought of all the characters with his gf and called both Allistair and Lel "clingy and needy". He wants a line to tell Allistair to buck up in a nice way. The whole hardening thing disturbed him. He thinks, and I agree, that the PC just telling them to be mean really shouldn't be enough to alter their personalities (meaning it is disturbing that it is enough, not that there aren't people who will contort themselves to try to please others in such a way). And he was upset by Morrigan's "offer". He felt that his character had been used by someone who pretended to be a friend. His worldview is a little black and white on that one. That left Zev as the only one "with a spine". I agree with him. His English teacher would be so proud.

Morrigan actually has a nice romance its definitely a different experience to see morrigan fall for you despite he best tries not to and its definatly different to see her act like that

its made clear by the AIMO comic she really does care about the warden friend or lover

I agree.  She is actually one of my favorite characters, though I really wish someone had thought through her disapprovals a bit better.  Her dialogues don't portray her as evil, just very focused on her own survival and unlikely to go on a limb to help someone else.  There are several places in which she disapproves of anything that isn't outright cruel, though.  Like many of the approval/disapproval things, it just doesn't quite fit.

My son was pretty peeved that she didn't fess up after the big "friend" chat after he killed Flemmeth for her.  He has very low tolerance for being mislead irl (read "none at all") and clearly that extends to games as well.

By the way, in case you guys didn't know, "Snoop Dogg's Hood of Horrors" is one of the worst things ever made. <_<

The fact that Zev has had male lovers was one of the few things that did not fly over his head.  I was sitting with him when he had the conversation with Zev about his past.  He doesn't have an issue with being hit on by another guy irl, so I really doubt it would bother him in a game. 

And yes...the tattoos definitely lead the eyes *elsewhere*.

Yep, I definitely agree that he hit the nail on the head there. And that's definitely a big part of what makes the Zevran romance so special.
