I haven't posted this little bit of Wynne hate for awhile, but here's the Zev-specific Wynne romance talk.

Wynne: You're quite taken with each other, aren't you? (Gently, but with an accusing edge.)
Warden: You know about Zevran and me?
Wynne: I almost wish I didn't. Half of us aren't getting any sleep, the way you two carry on all night. (Exasperated, rolling her eyes.)

Wynne: I've noticed your blossoming relationship, and I wanted to ask you where you thought it was going.

Warden: Zevran is special, and I have fun with him.
Wynne: Which is why I worry. You are a Grey Warden. You have responsibilities and I fear you will neglect them.

I disagree. I can be a Grey Warden and be with Zevran.

I got a theory on the arms-- if you make them shorter, the dwarf ladies end up looking too human/childish. They had to create a body shape that was unique from just "oh yeah, short human."

I'm actually used to the arm thing now. I've made peace with it

Oh god sorry Zevranites my overenthusiasm for dwarves is showing again I'll get back in my box...

Please, continue to enthuse :happy: The world needs more dwarf loving -nods enthusiastically- 

And I kind of like that theory...might help me lookit my dwarf ladies and not raise an eyebrow when overanalyzing their body shape XD;

Zev kisses are the best, and since I can't seem to get anything but an elf past Ostagar, I always like to see the other kisses.  Not that I don't like the elf kisses.  They get played over, and over, and over, and...

I really cannot stand Wynne, and the feeling grows stronger with each playthrough. I haven't actually killed her off without reloading in a game, but it becomes more tempting by the moment.



I love the dwarves (orangutan arms and all), but I can't seem to RP one. I have the same problem with human characters. I've never been particularly attached to elves in any other game, but I can't seem to RP anything else in DAO

I love making something out of nothing, and to come up from a double threat (elf-mage) or a simple city elf or dalish, to prove to the masses wrong about a people is my personal F*** You, as it were, to the npc masses who make derisive comments.

I keep finding myself that way, too. My Human Mage became an Elf Mage and suddenly it was so easy to understand her character and history in ways I never did for the human. My HN lacked the emotional extremes of my CE, and my DE keeps becoming more and more tempting. I'm not usually huge on elves, either, but there it is--I think your point about Underdogs is definitely true, TL.

I must admit that I felt a huge sense of satisfaction killing off Wynne. My dwarven lady destroyed the ashes since, well...she didn't really want to fight the guys anymore. She just wanted to get the ashes and go. So Wynne went all "OMFG HOW COULD YOU?!" on her. Yeah, the more I find out about Wynne, the more I dislike her.

I chose some ruder comments during the "zev is bad for you" convo...and she got oh so snippy with me. I sometimes wish I could forget that conversation e_e; There's no point to it. Well...no...it gives Wynne a chance to hear herself speak, I guess. -sighs-

Missa looks too sad, but ah well. Zevran is all, "yeah off to Antiva, bye! Have fun with Darkspawn!"

...Seriously. In my head they're like Antonio Banderos/Salma Hayek in Desperado. (Salma is petite enough for a dorf too...) Zevran I think is the only one out of the companions that gets the "duster" mentality that Dust Town screws you over, and understands the hustling and 'horing of it.

Also to complete my babbling, overwrought and gushy post, I link my fanfic: http://www.fanfictio..._Duster_Walking  (41,000 words on fanfic, I swear to god... !) It's mostly Missa's backstory and such, but Zevran is in it. Some chapters aren't SFW, but wellllll... It is Zevran, after all.

I got a sequel planned of Missa in ANNNNNNNNNTIIIVA with Zevran :3 I wrote a snippet of that [here], guest staring Zevran's chastity belt.

I think it would also make the running and fighting motions awkward.  They have to be over-long in order to move smoothly (edit:  I mean because the hips would get in the way otherwise).

@CZ Zevran looks so vulnerable next to a male dwarf.  It's funny, because he looks much larger compared to a femdwarf.

Agreeing with both. It's impossible for me to play as any Noble character, honestly. I just don't have that...connection...with them as I do with an elf, mage, or casteless dwarf. Definitely agree on the F*** You factor. That was the best part of playing a casteless dwarf, as well as a mage, for me I generally have no problems playing as a human mage or an elven mage, especially during the origin...Love speaking to Eadric as both a human and an elf. Though I wish there were fewer....rude...comments as a human mage when you speak to him...
