Hi Fuzzy. Of course. My screenshot finger is oiled and ready, lol. Making a male is tempting, true enough, but I know I wouldn't get far with him. Just look at my poor dalish male. I really like him, and the Morrigan romance is very, very interesting, and still he ends up being played very irregularly by me.

Rofl @ the art. But seriously, Morrigan is so very different in a romance. It's actually my dalish who made the decision for me. I saw his facial expression when he first saw her, and knew he would go for her big time (the poor sod)

The human male gate kiss pictures are so gorgeous that I really want to make one. I can't seem to make a goodlooking one, though. I like my male elves, though.



I have done the Morrigan romance part way (kept her below 71) and it made me warm to her character a lot. I tried seeing the romance through with gifts on a save game and I thought it was rather sweet. She's a big softie at heart, despite her horrible past and her mission. I think her flirting is cute and slightly awkward - she's similar to Zevran in that she has plenty of bravado but when it comes to relationships she's clueless and falls in love against her will. I just can't seem to finish a game with anyone other than Zevran though.



I can't get Charsen's gate kiss mod to work for my male elf. I've tried installing it a couple of times. I'm probably doing something really obvious and stupid (like last time, when I forgot to unzip Ejoslin's mod), but I can't work out what.

Have you removed everything from your override folder marked party_events?  Once this is done, unpack the EM stuff to that folder (packages/core/overrides).  Pretty straightforward.  So, you can't have this installed and a number of other mods that effect party_events at the same time.  They're just not compatible.

If its not that, I have no idea whats up.

Sannox make sure you unzip the contents of the HMEM_kiss2.rar to your Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override
so in that folder,you should have the 7 files from my .rar plus any other mods you have installed

but to test mine since it includes an (older) version of ejoslin's gatefix mod, you'll have to uninstall her mod (but you can uninstall mine after you grab screens & test your elf, and then you can and should reinstall hers)

the hope is that eventually when i get these kisses done i'll just attach them to her newest gatefix and that'll be good to go but until then, the beta will be a little sloppery.

*also with the EM i am strongly leaning towards trimming a few seconds off the last bit with zev, it seems too drawn out imo. i'll update it after even race/sex has a scene though.

Btw, Tellervo, the only party_event file I have is in Ejoslin's gate-fix. I guess Charsen's file replaces it? Yes? No? Maybe? Go in the corner an put the dunce's hat on?

Full answer: yes.  Any file in your override folder labeled party_event must be removed.  I recommend backing them up by copy/pasting the whole folder somewhere safe first.  Easier that way, since you just drag and click to restore your mods at that point.  No need for the dunce's hat.

Lol. I suppose it's a good thing that most of us like CZ's brand of evil. Usually. But definitely not when it involves Sandal, Cammen, Alistair... or Flemeth.

I like the camera angles.   I can't think of anything I'd want to change about that.  I like that you get to have a good look at your warden at the beginning, then Zevran at the end.  

I like the long part with Zevran alone at the end.  I think it's very poignant.  I like that it fades to black, and then you have to press continue to move on, because it gives you a moment or however long it takes to let it sink in. 

I like the gore!

I was expecting a kiss, but their lips didn't meet.   I like it like that though.  When they are looking into each other's eyes, so close, it's very moving. 

I notice you said that you'd put Zevran's gloves back on, but I'm still seeing a bare arm and I think it would look better gloved. 

But I love that bit at the beginning with the hand in it, very much.  The expressions are amazing.  They close their eyes as if overwhelmed by emotion.  You can imagine them blinking away a tear.   My warden makes a tiny turn of his head towards Zevran's hand, then back.  It's absolutely beautiful.

I'm blown away by this kiss combined with Ejoslin's dialogue changes.    I thought the dialogue changes were amazing on their own, but the kiss is just incredible on top of that.  I would have been happy with a kiss like the ones you see in the game, but this is very different and much, much better at the point in the story.    I just want to watch it over and over again.  With a box of tissues handy.

I'm uploading the latest B2B of party_events -- it has quite a few Alistair changes in it, fairly untested unfortunately, but the ARE tested a bit. Any changes that will need to be made to it will need to be made to the script, not the dlg, so I think it's safe uploading that as a final version.

Edit: Well, *sigh*, not a real FINAL version because I still haven't figured out how to remove the references Alistair makes to him being king without completely screwing up the chain of events there.

Hmmm tried a zev romance now, but to be honest.... Even when maxing his approval and getting him to love status, he still was constantly hitting on wynn and leilianna.



Yet I'm not allowed to romance anyone else???



I tried.....I really did, but even in the epilogue he leaves me, with max approval and my devotion.



It made me so cross I executed him on my next playthrough.

2. I have never had him leave me, try reading ejoslin's romance FAQ because you screwed it up somehow.

Edit:  Or the game screwed it up, it's known for giving completely incorrect epilogue cards.

Heh, you took the banters with Wynne seriously? There's actually a banter with Leliana that was taken out of the game where she calls his bluff and he backs down. Most of Zevran's banters, including the flirting, has a very different purpose than trying to get them into bed. With Wynne, he's trying to make her as uncomfortable as she's trying to make him. With Leliana, he's poking apart her "chantry" front. With Oghren, take my word for it, he's kidding. With Alistair, he's teasing as well.



If you finished the romance, to either the proposal or, if you didn't get that, at least to where he declares his feelings, there's no doubt about his devotion. If you're talking about "for a time" in the epilogues, that's there with Alistair and Leliana as well if you stay or travel. If you want the epilogue card to not have that phrase in it, rebuild the grey wardens with Zevran.

He doesn't seem to mind whom or how many people you romance until you get to a point where the other person wants an exclusive relationship.   He doesn't make claims on you, so I wouldn't say he doesn't 'allow' you to romance other people.   I think a lot of his 'hitting on' other people is just flirting and banter.  He does it to Oghren too.  

But I agree about the epilogues.  I got a crappy one at 100 love, earring, proposal, the lot - something like 'Zevran elected to remain at the side of his love - at least for a time'.  I had to play through Awakening to get him back!    I think there are other epilogues which have 'for a time', but that one in particular makes it sounds as if Zevran leaves the warden.   I think it probably depends on which option you pick (to rebuild the Grey Wardens, to go travelling, etc.).   I'm guessing that maybe the idea was to set you up for Awakening, but I agree, it's hurtful.

Likely bugged, since that character awaken epilogue said I was with a red head.



I definitely broke off relations with lelianna, to be with zevran.



He says he's staying with me in the end, but the origin epilogue says he eventually leaves.



But still, it's his sleezy nature that stops 'me' from actually liking him as a romance option.



After his story about rhina (sp?), I really found it hard to trust him romantically.



But I did honestly try.



I think in the end, other than being a cold blooded killer, he reminds me of past friends who were quite literally "dogs".

They'd sleep with anyone, even when in committed relationships.



It's hard to respect that.

I'm still under impression that the "choose someone" dialogue in Zevrans case is not about him being jealous but I actually believe when he says it's about the other person and they might mind the situation more than Zevran, and thus it needs to be resolved.

That is probably just one of those ambiguous things that could be interpreted in various ways according to Warden role play... I read "I am not against but don't lead on the other one" more than anything else. Different interpretations are valid as well.
