I meant to mention the thumb movement as well - I love that.
I imagine the slow, later part of the scene is particularly wonderful if the warden is going for the ultimate sacrifice. Zevran looks like he knows it might be the last kiss - he's overcome with emotion and trying to steel himself to prepare for the final battle.
Can you imagine if this was in the game, and there for people on their first playthrough? I'd have been bowled over.
there are some problems with a full mouth kiss:
- PC's face is extremely variable... one head model's mouth height might be 100% and another may be 0%, and some jaws are going to be pushed out and some will be pushed in, so getting even a lightly occluded liplock would work only for some people, plus the nose can be horribly variable and cause extreme clipping
- if i did a full liplock, i'd have to conceal it via camera so that people with different mouth shapes/heights won't have nose clip, this is what they do in the standard kiss, which is why you don't see their lips meet (they don't, it's an illusion)
- also, no tongue model (though i am strongly considering importing one from 3DSmax)
but i hope to figure something out.. maybe i can make even a missed liplock look ok (cheek slurps are not bad) *hmm*
