Well, thanks for Flemeth, Charsen and CZ. No, really. I saves me from eating my breakfast, because I lost my appetite.
I will make it my life project now to learn how to make cut-scenes, and then I'll put Howe and Zevran in a snuggle up. Just as a "thank you"

But seriously, seeing the (nice) HF/Zevran kiss made my mage faint. She waiting oh so patiently, poor dear.

I missed ES too, bummer. And I'm still laughing all over the place about certain posts (You know who you are...)

About the DLC, I'm sorry, but so far I find that all DLC have pulled Zevran OOC. Some are worse than others, but I'm not getting excited just yet. Imo, the DLC writer(s) are utterly clueless about Zevran. Gaider's Zevran is not the DLC writer(s) Zevran.

I agree about the DLC... I actually found some of the Feastday stuff to be in extremely poor taste, and a bit of a waste of my time.

What's not to love? My favourite bit is at precisely 2.22, as well the AWESOME ROTATING RUBIK'S CUBE. And those outfits? Hot. Especially those foam ...things the male dancers wear.

I have WK and that's it for DLC. I won't get anything else, because they pull my characters OOC. I do not think that RtO has Zevran right. I think they just glanced at him, and decided that he should be cold/evil/uncaring. There is just no way that anyone would think just leaving someone hanging up there is a good idea. Neither Morrigan nor Zevran would think that the darkspawn deserve their 'trophy', no matter how early in the story it happens.

With SP (which came free) and Wk (the only DLC I bought) I can at least do damage control by using my imagination. None of my PCs ever kill Avernus, nor do they allow the possession/murder of Amalia, so I can pretend he gives approval because he knows that the PC is lying to the demons.

The prank-pack is not even attractive to me. That would simply pull ALL the characters OOC for me. Aside from that, it completely nullifies the approval system. As an added non-bonus, you can only play it if the bug-fest patch 1.03 is installed, and I'll not do that. Not until they fix their fix. [/rant]

I didn't mind RTO, because I took it more as pragmatism and disrespect for political authority.  That we don't really have time for this, what did he really do for you, etc. etc.  Now, I hate that you get an approval drop with no explanation.  So I just stopped taking Zevran.  Only place he doesn't go with my HM.

Well, I'll probably be suckered into buying Zevran DLC either way... but having Gaider write him would definitely be nice. Zev is just too easily misunderstood.

I always save as soon as I get to the Long Road, before the idiot fugly mage runs up to lure me into a trap.

I Party change right before going back to get Cailan's body, take Zev out, then when that scene's done put him back in.

It's good when someone can RP it this way, Tellervo, but I can't. In the end, Cailan is a trophy for the darkspawn and their slaughter-fest at Ostagar, at least in my mind. Morrigan and Zevran disapprove, and for Zevran to disapprove without any explanation is another OOC moment.

I agree, the only way I could play this DLC would be without Zevran, Morrigan, Wynne and Alistair. I might be weird, but I don't like a game dictating to me when it comes to role-playing.

Zevran hardly ever approves/disapproves of the Warden's actions, and he definitely doesn't do it silently. Morrigan does, but she also has her reasons. I can even understand hers, even if my PC (and I) disagree with her. Why on earth would she favor leaving Cailan up there? She knows better than anyone else what an emotional roller-coaster Ostagar represents to the Warden.

Don't even get me started on Wynne. As much as I dislike her, I simply can't imagine her acting the way she does if Alistair is in the party.

The "Zevran betrayed me" vid made me laugh though. My dalish is on the 'friend only' track with him and Zevran's approval is already in the high 30s. My dalish 2h warrior is only in Redcliffe, he went there straight after Lothering, so it will not be a problem to have him as a good and loyal friend come Talisen. And no, he definitely never flirted with Zevran. He turned the romance perma-off right away, in polite but no uncertain terms, and Zevran is a-okay with that (he's after Morrigan, the poor sod). There is no 'lurid' staring, no flirting, no come-on's from Zevran, he is simply friendly. Silly people.

Thanks. I hope so too. I had a heat wrap on it yesterday, and it helped a little, and I slept on my back for several hours(I -hate- sleeping on my back), but I woke up a few hours ago and now I can't sleep...

Now that I have FRAPS installed, does anyone want any specific videos from Origins, Awakening, or any DLC? I have terrabytes of harddrive space, so I can do this all day long. I need someone to point me at a better program for converting from AVI, though.

Good morning.   Looks like I've missed a lot of fun.  

The human male kiss is gorgeous.  I really will have to make the effort to make a non-ugly human male just to see that.  

I use WeGame for video capture, purely because it's free and very, very simple for an occasional user.   I'm told that Fraps is better.

Spanking is only a good thing between consenting adults, in my book.  I couldn't hit a child (shudders at at thought), despite being brought up that way myself.  It felt very wrong even when I was the child.  I know it goes on in happy, loving families, but ....  I suppose I was lucky that I never felt the need with my son.  He was a pretty easy child to raise, and him turning out well is as much to do with his own personality as my parenting, I think.

Zevran definitely has a crush on Sten, I agree. I was thinking that the other day when I took this shot of him making goo-ggo eyes at him.


I would definitely buy DLC with Zevran in it, and yes, probably be disappointed because it didn't fit the character.  But I would buy it, without a doubt.  I would also buy romanceable Loghain.  And romanceable Sten.  And one with Tim Curry's voice on someone other than Howe, that was romanceable.  But I'd buy Zevran DLC at any price.  I'll just have to faith that if it happens it will be true to the original character and the original romance. 

I've forgotten now who posted links to livejournal communities - was it Soignee?  Whoever it was, thank you.  There's some nice, dirty stuff out there.  Some of it involving Loghain.

Hi Sannox. My kids are well behaved, and would act like the chocolate milk kid only once, trust me. But I've never hit either one, aside from a single swat on the behind. However, misbehaving always had consequences for them, and having allowances cut, or being confined to quarters, or other such unpleasant things always worked for me.

Well, come to think of it, that's not entirely true. My then-husband did spank my son, but I think it was a "scared out of his wits" reaction. After all, setting the garage on fire (unintentionally) is bad enough, but hiding in the burning structure afterward to avoid the consequences was really not the best idea my then 10-year old boy ever had.
