Sabriana, that garage story sounds terrifying! It must have been very traumatic.
I've used 'time out' in the past, but very, very rarely. My son didn't knowingly do things that would upset me. I know that I was probably much too laidback in my parenting style, but it just seemed to work because of his personality. It amazes me now that I have any authority over him now that he's a big, deep-voiced teenager, but he still does what I tell him to do.
I strongly believe that there are lots of different parenting styles that 'work', rather than one right way. It's just that corporal punishment pushes my buttons, I suppose.

Oh, what is it with the paragraph spacing here? If I put in one space, the paragraphs are crammed up together. If I put in two spaces it looks like I've put in five. Is it just me?

Oh, how about Zevran's thighs?  I took this one on my first playthrough, when I'd stupidly put him in felon's coat instead of something more revealing.  Thank you to the kind people here for helping me out when I asked for armour that showed bare thighs.   Mmm, bare thighs.   Does anyone else find this scene where Loghain and Zevran circle each other very sexy?

i hope to tweak the animations a bit more tomorrow afternoon. i will post more tomorrow & then hopefully have a beta done by evening if i'm not feeling worse.

i don't use livejournal but i really appreciate that you posted abt the mod! any input is great especially while im actively working on it. 

i agree with you btw -- i am not sure whether i like the EM kiss or if i should tone down the lengthy sad Zev at the end. like some of the comments on your journal said, im not sure if the scene is too impersonal & focuses on zev too much. i kinda feel that it does so i may redo it (this is just the alpha anyway) with more touching for the final release.

one possibility (not for this release but later) is to make a separate branch with the sadder zevs that only comes up if the warden is going for the US, and have the shorter HM scene for the DR or other warden dying ending. it wouldn't be too hard since i can make the extended kiss first and reduce it for the non-US version. *rambling*

lol i am glad they thought the flemeth & loghain scenes were amusing. one day i want to get around to making a mod with a nice fistfight with loghain... er... hmm.


oh Sannox i have the same problem. there is some weird difference in spacing depending on whether you use the fast reply or the full reply. most of the time i have to edit my stupid posts to get rid of all the crammed lines anyway. this forum is odd like that & its bbcode sucks too.

Yeah, quick reply makes the post look like double spacing, but it shows up without any spacing in the quotes/standard form. Weird.



Yeah about the traumatic part. My ex-husband wasn't much of a husband, but he loves his kids with all his heart. All of us (including the then 6 year old daughter) were crying at one point.

Maybe I've just falling in love with the EM kiss because I saw it first.  I think sad Zev works whatever way, because it's the end of your quest and he knows you might die (or he might die).    It's just especially poignant with an US ending, but I would like it to stay like that for all endings.  It fits really well, for instance, if he's given that speech about the warden dying, or the sidekick dying.  And there's the speech about being with you till you die, or he dies.   I think death is on his mind.  Anyway, that slow scene is so beautiful.  (*stashes away a copy of the alpha just in case).  Is there such a thing  as 'focuses on zev too much'?

And the way the HM one goes pushes the idea of them being partners to me, so I find it appropriate for either.  And as I've mentioned, sad Zev ends up looking like some of the drunk animations from this godawful Feastday DLC.

I've had some fun with the Feastday stuff, but only for playing about in save games. I can't bring myself to use it in an actual game. It's just an easy way to open up the love and hate dialogues that I hadn't yet heard.

I meant to mention that I use Videospin for video editting.   Again, it's not because it's the best (I don't know what's the best) but because it's easy to use (and free).

I absolutely admire all of you who know how to make videos. My brain balks at anything beyond PowerPoint, lol.

I'm sure I could learn, though. However, my laptop is not one of the higher ends (I play DA on medium), and I don't want to put another program on it. I have a feeling that if I burden it with yet another software program, it'll pack up and leave.

Wow, Vala (my HNF) is looking a bit mean in that one shot where you can see her face, rofl.  Smile, girl, it's Zevran!   The HF kiss is looking lovely so far, though!

Good morning, all. Wow, those pictures are beautiful!

@Tellervo I have all of Zevran's dialog at the gates fixed (yay) and am currently working on Alistair's (I'm close to having his fixed as well, though I had a setback last night and had to reinstall the toolset with NONE of Alistair's changes, so working on that again). My latest version (1.52) corrects many of the other errors surrounding Zevran, especially in Alistair's dialog.

Hopefully I will have Alistair no longer referring to himself as king when Charsen is finished with the kiss. This will be the only endgame mod that corrects that AND doesn't change the lore.

But I'm not there yet

Edit: And yes, feel better Charsen and Surreal.  Being sick is awful

I have no video-making skills at all.  I have been playing about at making a Zevran one on Videospin, but haven't completed it yet.  I've used WeGame successfully on my old computer, which is pretty ancient and creaky.   It really is easy.  There's nothing much to set up.   You just bind a key for video, then press that key when you're in game to switch the video on and off.   It's much easier than Powerpoint.   It does slow things down a bit while it's running though.

I have a question for everyone here. I can remove Alistair referring to himself as king at the final battle; however, the easiest way to do so (by FAR) is to include both a hostile and a friendly dialog choice for everyone (basically, I'd change those two answers from appearing at appropriate approval levels to only showing when he's king). How immersion breaking would this be?

What are Zevran's thoughts on religion? I know he did that lulzy conversation with Alistair about "sin, then repent! Then sin some more, then repent!" Where he was doing his deflecting thing again, and his reaction to the "vase" in Ashes quest is also comedy gold...



But! I was wondering what his beliefs where, as I got the vague notion he believes, but doesn't think the Maker/Andraste actually care about their followers.

Thanks! :3  Like most of my PC's, she's based on an older character of mine.  Actually doesn't look that much like her, but she's a passable substitute. XD

I think she looks a bit mean there compared to how she usually looks... lol. XD  But she does have an easily annoyed personality, maybe you're right about why she's irked.

(It's weird seeing her like that, though -- her normal hairstyle is from the More Hairstyles mod, but that wasn't working for Charsen so I gave her hair from the vanilla game instead.)


@ejoslin, hmmm, could you give an example of what that kind of change would look like? I'm not quite sure I'm following correctly. XD;
