Yes, that's the funny thing. I didn't find him all that attractive to begin with. I only rarely go for blonds. I have a thing about dark eyebrows, and in some shots you can hardly see his eyebrows. He's not my type. But he really grew on me while I was talking to him - the voice of course, but I think it was his facial animations as well. I like the lines on his face.

It's the same with fan art as well. Some of it is very well drawn and I enjoy looking at it, but hardly any looks exactly like the Zevran I imagine.

ETA: It's the top of the page and I didn't have a screenshot.   So here's a sad one.  How anyone can think 'cold blooded killer' after this little speech is beyond me.

Yeah, he has that, eh.. rugged, weathered look (or something), which really works for him. Before I started playing, I was pretty convinced that I'd be romancing Alistair since I had just played ME2 a ton and figured I didn't need to be going after another assassin character. Oh well, I guess Bioware has the "super hot assassin" thing down.

(Antonio Banderas-y would definitely be bad...or maybe just funny lol)

And I agree that a lot of fan art doesn't capture him the right way... but like you, I still enjoy it.

Edit: nice screen shot :crying:

That looks lovely, Charsen. I wish I had a HF at the gates. I think it looks very touching with a taller human warden.

I'm looking forward to the dwarf. The in-game kisses seem to mess with the heights to line them up. I would really love to see a standing kiss with the much shorter dwarf having to look up to Zevran, and him looking down. But I suppose it just wouldn't work?

hmm I belive there is a kiss where the dwarf go up on tip toe to kiss him. I will gop check (I'm not 100%) and get a screen shot if I can.

*goes to check*

Oh, it's lovely Charsen!
It looks natural and romantic. Though I still can't get over the height difference :/

The dwarf thing would be interesting. I could imagine him lifting her to embrace so they are eye to eye, but I suppose it's also impossible to make. Maybe it could be a nice drawing ... *drifts away*

Hmm I wouldn't say it's impossible to make, depending on how the cameras were done you could (I assume) just lift the dwarf model to the desired height and do kiss...but considering the Fem Dwarf kisses are apperently the most  "squee worthy" it might simply be easier for Charsen to edit a stock kiss like the one where Zev comes down to the FD's level to kiss her (erm that kiss does exist right?).

and the tip toe kiss was actaully a hug...sorry.

Good day all my dearies. Looking at the thread, you have been lazy, I see. Well, less for me to catch up.
I *do* have a HF at the gates, and I think she's getting mad at me. But looking at the pic, I'll be making it up to her and then some.

I'm glad you are feeling better, Charsen. Being ill sucks lizard eggs.

The 'height' thing, yes. I swear in my play-throughs Zevran doesn't look all that much shorter than my HFs. Heck, in one of my screenies, he's about the same height. Stupid in-game camera..... (mumble, mumble).  I still <3 the kiss. Actually, I <3<3:wub: the kiss.

Edited because I felt a strange urge compelling me to do so.

I've read this thread - http://social.biowar...index/2069443/3, and it made me wonder how would Zevran react to the warden's Calling. Do you think he'd go with her/him to the Deep roads to meet death together?

I honestly think Zev would go to the Deep Roads with the Warden, fight by his/her side till death claims them both. After all, we do know that without the Warden, Zev loses everything that gave him a reason to live. So, why wouldn't he join his Warden in their final fight?

And my back is a bit better. Still randomly cramping but it doesn't hurt near as much as it did yesterday. My brother helped me switch out my air bed for a new one(loooong story that), and got it all set up for me so when I went to bed all I had to do was lay down and pass out. Thanks for the well-wishes!

Ohoh, what a beautiful picture to wake up to!

Edit: And I agree with Surreal.  I cannot imagine Zevran not going with the warden, really, and making sure she actually dies.

Yeah, Zev would make sure the Warden meets their fate, then take out as many as he could till they overwhelmed him as well. I can't see him going with the Warden and surviving...

My Warden intends to live as long as possible through whatever means necessary, but if it came down to it he'd kill himself before going to the Dark Roads to die if it meant Zevran wouldn't be in danger.

I'm glad your back is better, Surreal.

Ejoslin, the ZevranGateFix 16 is the latest, right? I mean, it's logical, I just want to make sure. The latest I've got is 151.

And did you change the MiscFixes at all? Or are the ones I downloaded a few days ago still good?

Surreal, that is how I see it as well. And it doesn't seem so much like suicide to me; it's a final battle, but I can see him thinking it's completely necessary.

Hmmmm, and modded vs unmodded Zevran. Zevran's face is weathered and scarred. Most mods are not able to capture that and give him much smoother skin. I have played with him modded, and in at least one of those mods he's so gorgeous I was distracted, but I keep going back to him being unmodded. It just suits him.

Edit: @Sabriana

Yes, the most recent version is 1.6.  Unless someone finds serious bugs in it, I consider my work done!  Until I decide to mess with it again, I suppose.

I haven't changed the MiscFixes file, though 1.6 now has the Isabela change built in (and the City Elf Alienage fix).  I don't like the way the conversation with Cullen flows if you take the persuade check so I will most likely change that part of it, but everything else is done!

Second edit: /wave Creature 1.  I guess, with Zevran, the three times you know of that he really was trying to die, they were all trying to go down in a blaze of glory.  And this would be another glorious death, really.  He is very much one for grand gestures.

Thank you, Sabriana :)

Exactly. It's not suicide, it's a final battle. I bet all Wardens look at it as a Final Battle, and go in guns blazing, as it were.

As for the final battle, I would like to hope that something could be done to undo the taint. Perhaps the Architect did something to the Warden during is 'experimentation'. Remember Fiona? One can only hope.

Or that a child would be involved, it's not impossible to imagine that the Warden and Zevran had a kid. She/he would be grown by then, but still, it's something for Zevran to keep an eye on, and someone to love, and be a father to.

I can also imagine that my Warden would try to talk him out of trying to die with her, but I'm not sure how he would react. I do however think that he'd make damn sure that she dies, and isn't subjected to any darkspawn cruelty a la Cailan or *gasp* a broodmother.

Yes, women over the age of 50 can be fertile. Don't know about GWs, but who bloody knows with darkspawn.

TY Ejoslin, I'll dump the files that are in 1.51 and are inside 1.6 now.

I went into the lounge, turned the TV on, and did a double take. Guess what's playing. "Stolz und Vorurteil". The translation you ask? "Pride and Prejudice".

Methinks Creature has cursed me. Ever since she started to refer to the above, it pops up all over the place around me, lol.

Creature 1 is sneaky that way! Like socks! *grin*

Hmmm, I never actually thought about them really having a child. Then, hmmm, I don't know. A child would be grown by then, and most likely would understand completely. I like to think that something is done about the taint as well.

Edit: See, that's the thing -- I can't imagine him NOT making sure she died.  He would follow, I would think, with or without her knowing.

Yeah, yer right. Even if the Warden told him to stay behind, Zev would follow. He's just that kind of guy.

See, that's why I'm so at odds with Awakening. I just don't see Zevran letting her go off alone. Especially when knowing that there might be trouble ahead. Or not come to her side when hearing of bad trouble brewing in Amarantine.

It works the other way around as well. No way in hell would my PC let him go face the crows alone. Never!

As for making sure she's protected from them, well, the writers made sure to throw a very odd (and to me, highly unbelievable and illogical) ambush via the Crows right into the middle of the xpac.

Sorry, but no. The end of Origins made it very clear that he would not leave her. I never read the "for a time" that he would split, I always, from my first unspoiled game on read it as "for a time, and then they both left - together".

I agree. The PC I'm playing now definitely wouldn't let him run off to Antiva alone (or would run after him if he did sneak off for whatever reason). She'd just say, "let the Orlesians deal with the darkspawn" and be on her way.

I like the xpac (except Velanna), but I think the continuity is better as an Orlesian Warden. (And uh, I'll just pretend the dialogue system is kinda weird because of a language barrier)

Just had the Taliesen encounter with my human mage. <3

*hugs Charsen because he made the Zevring mod*

I have only one very big problem... my elven mage file seems to be corrupted or something. I can't start it... it keeps complaining about not having the 'authority' for RtO, Shale etc. No idea why it does that, because my human noble and human mage are working fine.

I agree. Just look at how he acts if the Warden leaves him behind at the gates. Or what he says about following the Warden to the gates of the black city. No way would he abandon his Warden.

From a role-playing perspective, its unlikely that an elf, who is in love with Zevran, would ever leave his side - or he, hers. Elves are outcasts and stick with their own kind.
