Also, if I ever break down and draw Zev based off another picture, I'd be more tempted to steal poses from Minekura's version of Saiyuki. Oh yes. Suits, blood, bruises and all.

Zev practically is a Saiyuki-boy as it is.

Here's a sample of Minekura's style from Saiyuki, this is a villian, he is a demon though, not an elf, demons have pointy ears in her world.

My roommates and I actually met due to Saiyuki, one of 'em was RPing Genjo Sanzo, who ended up as my Amberdrake k'Leshya's (the Gryphon books by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon) unwitting client. Ah, multifandom RPGs... good times, good times.

Guys, I have a question. When do you think Zevran had his facial tattoo done? Do you (generally) think it's a dalish- or a crow thing? I myself don't see the dalish putting a needle to a newborn's face, so I suppose it's one he had done to accentuate his facial features... but when?

Because I'm currently drawing an eight-nine-ish year old Zev, and I'm wondering whether or not I should just turn off that layer it's on. :/

I think it's a crow thing, like his second name aligning him to what part of the Crows he was part of. He was a slave, remember.

IIRC, the Dalish don't tattoo faces at all until coming-of-age. So it's either a Crow/Antivan thing, or something he had done when he briefly ran off to hang out with the Dalish. Probably Antivan/Crow, though, since he talks at one point about other tattoos on him that are sacred to the Crows, etc.

FOUND IT! I've roleplayed Gojyo (redhead) before, too, so I'm surprised I didn't have this in my hard-drive already!

EDIT: Really? Ah, I suppose Drake isn't for everyone. He was our only pacifist for a while, though, in a game full of ass-kickers and zombies. The poor guy. And one of the only two medic-types for a long time... and then the only one. DX

I <3 the Drake, in all his insecure workaholic silliness. Sanzo was right when he said the guy needs some damn vices, though.

Aroihkin, I am going to go out on a limb here, but you have a girl from Missouri as one of your room-mates? A friend of mine I used to cosplay with moved out to Cali and is now big into Saiyuki as well. Her given name is Gillian but she goes by Joe and others as well? If not oh well .

Nope, though we had a chick roommate from that state for a while, we all parted ways less than amicably. Name wasn't any of those, though. Thankfully, since if it was the same chick I'd be sidling back out of the thread now.

LOL Ok, just checking, it doesn't sound like her either since she is pretty easy to get along with. I haven't talked to her since I was 21, and now I am 26, and my little sister keeps forgetting to send me her e-mail-_-,
