you will get used to it trust me its really based on how well you use your mage (and the 3rd person view helps targeting people with AoE spells much easier)

im at the point where I find difficulty enhancing mods(on nightmare) I find the game extremely easy and I refuse to use more than one mage (because you know I hate wynn)

I'm using only one mage (Morrigan) with no healing spells, I don't use potions, and I don't let anyone die. EVER. I'm playing on hard and I rarely have to redo battles. Nightmare will be next. I'm not saying I'm some awesome player, it really is just a matter of getting the right mage style down. For me, I just get Morrigan tons of different CC spells, so I can pretty much disable most anything until I feel like dealing with it. I do use No Follower Auto Level so that I don't end up with useless spells/talents on characters, just because I get tired of having companions I don't want to use. Just play around and you'll get the hang of things! And look through the various mods, because those are a big part of what makes the PC version so awesome!

I think it's good to ask such questions if it's what your character really wants to know.  You get some good insight into Zevran sometimes by picking responses that rattle him, even if you get dinged a bit.  Obviously not things that are outright mean or patronizing.  Ugh, my Dalish warden patronized him so badly at first.  A wonder that they turned out to be good friends.

I agree.  If you just go for maximum approval with Zevran, he's at 100 before you get a chance to ask him about Rinna if you two are sleeping together.  This game I didn't turn on the romance until he was at 91, and this was with the only gifts being the gloves and boots (which each give 1 point less approval in the friend zone rather than romance zone).  Challenging him a bit does give really interesting insights, and to me makes him feel more real than if you're just all, "OOOOOH, I love violence, tell me all about hideous poisoning *squee*".  *grin*  I have gone that route as well, but find the conversations better if I don't.

My Dalish had no room to talk about anything -- she started off killing three humans because they wandered too close to the camp.  Most of my characters are pretty ruthless though.  Even my dwarf noble actually kills her brother and kills the guy she feels betrays her.

Back.  Zevran guts whoever did it and tries to protect the PC (in spite of not being a tank) while yelling for Wynn to come help the PC.  YMMV.  If it's safe or if it's not safe but the PC is in imminent danger of bleeding out he might render aid instead of deferring to the healer.

Aww, she's lovely, and working those robes nicely. XD
I love the way Zevran gazes at the PC... even when the PC is talking to someone, it seems that even when everyone else is watching the other person, Zev's eyes are only for the PC.  Too sweet.

It looks like a robe. I keep him in leather, but some robes have good defense and resists on them.

I wondered the first time I saw those too -- but now that I've gotten the darn things myself, I believe those are the Chasind Robes from the Korcari Wilds.  They look intriguingly like the outfit in Zev's design artwork. ;D

so in my current playthrough I just got the "Alistair gossip talk" and despite the fact he claims he aint jealous of Zevran(and his reaction to me asking if he was made me lol) I caught him 5 seconds later well...

also Im sad that alistair doesn't ask about me and Zevrans relation ship like he does with morrigan and leliena during the gossip talk I only get the option to ask if hes jealous right off the bat ...

LOL We definitely have a barbarian vibe going on in the party atm.  Though her robe is actually the Archon Robe you pick off the blood mage in the Circle Tower.  She's a blood mage, it all works out nicely.  Zev is wearing the Chasind robe.  I think it suits him, I don't like the leather armors in the game much and I don't have enough money for the Felon's Coat.  We have to work on the cheap.  It gives a nice though not overwhelming +6 defense.  I hardly ever have to heal him, though that's partly because Morrigan and I are the sister mages of death and mayhem.

He probably doesn't want to hear about it because he IS jealous. heh I guess if he can write your character off as a lesbian, he's not as jealous as he is of another guy. lol

Yeah, I always wait until Zevran has joined the party to have Alistair's gossip conversation so that I can bug him about being jealous of Zevran and me.

oh dear, that will totally alter my gaming experience.

i just pissed off ali, so i can marry anora, to see the dialogue. it's quite sweet, but overall i think it's not a very satisfying ending. meh.

Zevran is the only one of your companions who will speak for the party like that, and he has quite a bit to say in a few of the areas.  I love that about the character -- he's the only one who really comes off as an equal rather than a follower.

Edit: I also wish that the other companions would make their opinions known more often, and would also try to talk the warden out of (or into) actions.  Wynne does on occasion, but I don't think the others do.  Well, I guess Sten does in haven, and he has a great line if you side with Branka as well.

indeed I also liked telling Leliena that Zevran wasnt my slave because he made an oath to me when she did the "your Zevran" talk with me

That's what struck me as well, meaning the Zevran-gazes at my PCs. No matter who talks, he always turns his head to look at her. He does that often - as soon as she is within eye-sight, he gazes at her. So sweet.

I tried to see if Alistair does it, but he never does.

As for seeing the PC being wounded, he is always there when she gets attacked anyways. He would experience a gut-wrenching fear, furiously mow down everyone who threatens her, then try to stem the blood, and scream for the healer.



None of my PCs ever tried to just say what he supposedly wants to hear. They've gone the "I don't enjoy killing" route, as well as the "Err.., no not that." route for example. (Well, I did pick these options just to see what he says, but re-loaded everytime)



I also had my PCs ask "what about love", and I will always pick that. I love the way he starts pacing back and forth, speaking in such a forceful tone of voice, trying to convince himself above all. Who won't feel for him when hearing:

"I was born of a wh*re, and bred as an assassin. All I know is pleasure and death. What room is there in these things for... love?"

And yes, the "You got me, and you're stuck with me" is definitely D'awww inspiring

Oh, that's a fantastic line.  Female version reads, "Zevran is not mine by any stretch of the imagination."  Sheer force of personality and will -- he is his own man for sure.

Edit: I know all I've said about fanfic, but I love the way you see Zevran and would like you read yours.  And Creature's as well, if she has started releasing hers.
