It's working again! (screenies that is)  He's still not quite right, but it no longer looks like Zev is kissing a ghoul.

Edit: What is with me and the top of the page tonight?!  At least there are Zev screenies included, even if I haven't figured out how to embed them.

Edit 2: @MG It's Vista (I know, I know, not my choice but it came with it and I haven't gotten around to installing XP yet).  They are showing up now, but the previous ones disappeared.  It's been a little funky lately, and I am far more comfortable on linnux than Windows so it is awaiting the tender ministrations of my husband.

 EJ --- i didn't know how to do anything in the cutscene editor when i first started. i was familiar with Flash though, so keyframes and that made sense. but if you start editing other cutscenes and changing little things, eventually stuff will click. BTW duplicate a cutscene by right-click Duplicate, done experiment with the originals
hopefully when my classes end  i can write up some tutorials or maybe make some video tutorials.

Not at all intended to be a Zevtran, but the game makes it hard to level up high enough for better armor when I have to stare at that for however long. My roommate's still hooked to the game, but I'm sorta burned out. But with the way their meshes work, there's no getting away from it to some degree. It's like armor clipping, you just learn to ignore the weirdness of some sets after a while.

Don't worry, I'll spare you from AIM.

Not at all intended to be a Zevtran, but the game makes it hard to level up high enough for better armor when I have to stare at that for however long. My roommate's still hooked to the game, but I'm sorta burned out. But with the way their meshes work, there's no getting away from it to some degree. It's like armor clipping, you just learn to ignore the weirdness of some sets after a while.

oh i understand --- i used to play Anarchy Online, and had similar armor issues. i spent about 80 levels in that game trying to twink into sweet armor, and *every time* i finally was able to loot any armor, it was always for a female model in at least one piece. D=
so i grinded my ass up to lvl 200 as fast as i could just so i could wear my bamf set. Ahh the good old days... i kinda miss that game sometime.
and i am serious, i dont mind w/ AIM.

very few JRPGs even let you roleplay in the first place

there are a few I like, liketales of destiny directors cut(Its got a really fun battle system and I cant understand a damn word of it since its japanese only) Valkyrie profile 1+2 side scrolling mixed with turn based rpg combat very different story telling from the standard jrpg and happens to have strong female lead characters, and shin megami tensei nocturne, an amazingly difficult turn based jrpg with actual roleplaying and while it does fall into some traps it tends to kick ass in most areas

but most I avoid

I'm extrememly picky about what I will bother with these days.  If I weren't such an insomniac, I wouldn't have any time to play at all.  I heard great things about Shin Magami Tensei, but I don't have patience for high difficulty at 2 am.

JRPGS... if it even counts as one,  Skies of Arcadia Legends.

Not only one of my favorite games ever, but also my favoritest fandom ever. The Zev!fandom is up there, but SoA's one of those little obscure fandoms that persists even though no one's ever heard of our game. This is the game that had me wanting the Silvite tattoos on my shoulders. Of course, I'm allergic to ink, so that will never happen...

But I'd still probably do it!

Named my car after one of the ships in that game though. Words cannot adequately express my <3!

Though part of that is probably nostalgia. Only part.

Yeah, I just don't have the energy to spend a month straight, eight or so hours a day, getting that character to level fifty. My roommate is housebound and ill as well, so they can play constantly and... they don't seem to burn out like I did.

Although higher-end male leather armor has issues on that game, too. Like @#$%ing unicorn head pauldrons.

Which I'd find funny! ...For all of an hour. And then I'd still be stuck with it.

I've been tryng to post about this but I'm wary of offending someone, as it this (sterotypical) type of gay person that really get on my nerves. I know people who are gay and out of joking around none who them would speak like that. I'm really not sure what point I'm trying to make so i'm going to stop.

Oh did anyone else see the thread where David Gaider confirmed that Wade and Harren (?) were a couple? People were surprised...!

Yeah, I'd probably be happier playing an Asmodian, to be honest. But their backfur mane... thing is just a dealbreaker for me.

Mind you, the other armor classes have some awesome damn options that involve absolutely no unicorn heads, and you can re-skin almost anything of one class to look like almost anything else of the same class, but I think the unicorn head is part of a set that can't be reskinned.

Which is just... wtf.

I think the problem is that people write/create/etc characters who are X thing.

People keep complimenting my OC in the DA fic... if I changed her gender, she'd be the same character. Now, that might seem obvious since she's a very butch gal, but I think I can safely say that of any of my characters. Tannusen's had fanart drawn of him, people liked him so much, but if I made him a girl he'd be the same. Akara from TAF would do fine as a dude.

Same thing goes for orientation, too, IMHO.

...Now obviously I'm oversimplifying, and these things can color a character, even irreversibly. But I think one of the main mistakes a person can make is when they start with "I'm going ot make a gay male!" and go from there, for example.
