These days I'm mostly playing my Aedan character, so don't have any Zevran squee to share since he's romancing Morrigan. I am crushing on my own PC! He's so sexy, especially the voice (the cocky set). But he and Zevran both being rogues, they do make quite a dynamic fighting duo. And he's learning assassin skills from him.

Ejoslin, I tried watching it in HD but only got ~2 fps with it. It was like watching a slideshow. =( Not sure if that's just me?

Hmmmm, it is fine on my computer. That is really odd.

Edit: I know it's working fine on Sabriana's as well.  Maybe just run it at 360p?  You don't lose much quality really when it's that low, and it's much better than the one I converted to low res.

Keep spamming it Ejoslin. The more people see it the better. After seeing that some people should feel pretty silly saying that Zevran isn't capable of deep feelings. (Zevranites are certainly NOT meant by "some people", fer sure) Also, it saves me from quoting you all over the place. Certain quotes only, whether they make sense to my post or not, rofl.



Nonvita, I'll be with you in spirit at your finals. I remember mine vividly. All of them. Afterward you need to give yourself a big reward. Mojitos, sand, ocean, Zevran, cute Californian guys, Zevran, mojitos... well, you get my drift.

 What gets me most, and I didn't notice then until watching the video, is how when Zevran says, "yes, yes, I know," he then tries to smile but doesn't quite succeed.  Just a quick upturn of the corners of his mouth.

Damn, I've watched the video entirely too many times to pick that one up.  But wow, that and then the kiss -- I want to cry now.

Hah, stealth spam in there.

Edit: Nonvita, maybe try downloading it?  I think you can download it in lower quality than it is up there (HUGE file).

fraps makes huge, huge video files because it doesn't encode them while it's capturing. but you can  do that after you record with a few different programs. 

Sannox used wegame to make a video before, i haven't used it yet but it might be better than fraps. *gonna check it out later*

and it's ok! i will make the EF next, then dwarves. that is the plan. no bribing is necessary... CZ's bribes are torture enough.

@surreal wowza.  That is extremely sexy.  Had Nathaniel been romancable, I would have started an Orlesean for him.

@Charsen I am trying not to gush, because I know it gets annoying, but seriously, the HF is fantastic.  I love his hand in her hair.

Edit: Just changed my fraps settings. The output should be far smaller now.  I think I'll test it on my human mage!

Definitely!  I like that drawing, though it doesn't look much like Nathaniel??  My husband saw me playing my Aedan character and accused me of making a Nathaniel look-alike, but I had created Aedan long before that (he got stalled and now re-started).  It's just that there are so few sexy dark-haired men in the game that actually live so I was just doing my part to recoup the losses.    However Nathaniel is sexy not only for his looks, but that voice!!!

The problem?  On the PC (and most likely Xbox) version, they forgot to say that the female dialog should go to a female, and it is before the male dialog in the tree.  So just putting in the condition that the female one goes to a female only, and the male one goes to a male only fixed it.  Three mouse clicks.

The fact that none of the modders who took on the end game bugs before I did even caught the problems with Zevran's dialog at the gates tells me that his romance just isn't that well known.  Think of all the time we spent squeeing over, "By your side I'd storm the gates of the dark city. Do not doubt it!" and going WTF over the other selections there.  And I know I left him at the gates quite often then reloaded so I could hear him be loving!

The one good thing is my husband is delighted to see me poring over code again!  For some reason, he finds that attractive 

Oh man, I wonder if we're ever going to stop having new reasons to facepalm at the coding in this game?

It is a good game, I can tell you that. The camera is annoying at best but you get used to it after a while, beside that nothing bad to say about it.



What I want to ask is how women can be more attracted to Alistair then Zevran. I won't pretend to know what women like, but doesn't the whole charming rogue thing get to them more then Alistair humor?

Addai67, my Alistair changes are not fully tested.  Everything SHOULD be working as planned, and I tested quite a bit with "hostile" and "still in love" Alistair, and I also tested with Anora as solo queen, but my eyes were crossing at the Landsmeet stuff.  If you see any bugs, let me know!  Unfortunately, most of the stuff that is tested has quite a bit of dialog to get to in order to get to the dialogs.  Plus, removing all references of him being king when he not king...  That took him down from about 18 responses at the AD to 2.

The good thing about Zevran Dialog Fix (well, aside the obvious) is that the addons are very easy to uninstall.  I did my best not to change game lore at all -- no sacrificing yourself if Alistair is in love or still in love, no additional jealousy, no new ending slides, etc.

But Charsen adding the kisses, even those are supposed to be there.  As is the kiss after he declares his feelings which Charsen corrects in ZevRing.  I can't get over how much of this stuff was just not put in.

@Costin_Raven: I get why women like Alistair -- he is very likable and actually quite sexy.  He is more like the white knight in romance novels, until he breaks your heart that is.

Alistair is the bashful, puppy-cute Prince Charming type. A lot of the women who find that appealing are the ones that Disney brainwashed into believing that every girl has a Prince Charming waiting for them. I will admit, I did romance Alistair in my first playthrough, but after reading up on Zevran, all my PCs have romanced Zev, save for the brief romances to get the achievements. Ali's cute, but he's... bland compared to Zev.

Well, all save my current FemCousland. I've got her in love with Ali and she's staying with him.

Zev's romance is not sugary and sweet. It's hot and spicey. It's got a depth that Ali's doesn't. You learn so much about Zev, and he's totally commited to the Warden. The Warden is Zev's reason to live. That is the difference, in my book.
