I must say I like the Alistair romance, it is very sweet. It is different from the Zevran (and all the other) romances, and every romance has good and bad points.

I was like wtf, she talked like I was doing something terrible.. I swear she is just unbelievable. Must be because of her age... she is old, dinosaur like.. my dad is off the same age but he is more.. evolved, more like a bird, I think..

LOLOLOL, try having a 76 year old father and 52 year old mother, its lulz all around.

Sorry, Addai.  I didn't really mean it that way.  I liked the Allistair romance, and tbh, the mage who romanced him to the end was right with him with the duty thing.  It was very sweet.  His character is just young, literally, in the game.  I really *like* him.  It's part of the reason I have trouble getting a female character through the game anymore.  He is sweet and really difficult to turn down, but I know that I will appreciate the depth of Zev more.

Oh, it's ok.  I shouldn't be defensive anyway.    Though I would also speak up if I came across posts, as you sometimes do, where people say there's nothing to Zevran's romance but sex and an Antonio Banderas accent.

2nd Alistair has his appeal. I understand how easily a girl can fall for that, but still it's not my cup of tea. I've never done the romance beyond the rose. I am tempted to try but I know how it will end anyway (warden falling for certain sexy assassin again), so meh. BTW I know few girls IRL that would be incredibly rabid Alistair fangirls given they played games (which they don't), so yeah some women actually like that type of guys. 
Me thinks that both male LI were damn well designed as varying estrogen brigade baits.

One other thing is that she doesn't like it that I spend hours in my room playing the game. She doesn't like being alone, so she wants someone downstairs... so I decided to install the game on my laptop to be able to play the game downstairs. I figured, she not alone + I playing the game = everyone happy.
Didn't work.. obviously. <_<

Yes, you need to rat Anora out so that she betrays you to Cauthrien, and then you get the Zevran lolz.  Except Zevran is dead serious, so it's not lolz for him!

Belatedly, you're too kind. ^^ The next one's about half-written, I guess-timate, and involves copious amounts of blood. And some rib.

You should get THAT line if you were captured or surrendered, but DIDN'T expose Anora.

Edit: Though I edited my last post to include the link, it's this mod.  I didn't put it at DANexus because they're either not lore, or things like the Cullen one is a bit awkwardly worded.  And the Ruck one, with the additional dialog unlocked, you can get the same lines over and over, which is strange.  I will figure out a workaround one of these days!  

Right now, though, Taliesen just died in my current game

THAT is weird.  Your other saves are ok? Not doing this weird stuff?  Do you have the toolset installed? Have you played around with it at all?  And it does all this with no mods installed at all?

Well, the sex thing put me off Alistair. When his approval goes down if you ask him to the tent. I was gobsmacked! That never happens in real life, and if it did, I would be out of there. It was really quite unpleasant. A refusal is bad enough, but the disapproval - yuck. I never really got over that.
And you can go straight from that to Zevran's approval shooting up when you ask him to the tent, and going up every single time thereafter (unless it can't go any higher).
Then there's the post-sex conversations. When you finally manage to get Alistair into the tent (which I only managed by giving him gifts - now that's kind of creepy too. Is it actually possible to get him into bed without buying him?), his post-sex conversation is a bit disappointing. I know not everybody likes Zevran's but if it's very early on (you've gone to the tent as soon as possible), it's really quite nice. 'I shall ask nothing more of you than you are willing to give' - well, it was nice that somebody was thinking of my character's needs for a change.

And then I could never quite forgive Alistair for insisting on lopping Loghain's head off in front of his daughter.

ETA: Oops, that ended up being things I don't like Alistair instead of things I like about Alistair.

No toolset installed, got you for that.

My human mage is at the point of saving Anora, so I'll see if she has the same problem. The other problem with my elven mage is the fact that she can't be saved from Fort Dracon, everytime I select 2 party members only the first one showes up. So yeah, file is working great.
Removing the mods doesn't help, still get the unauthorised warning so game won't start unless I load the file within 5 seconds after starting the game. And once it has loaded my latest save file I can't go back to previous save games. So I have no clue if my other elven mage files are fine, because I can't reach them. xD

That happens only if you ask him a 2nd time after his first refusal.  I interpret it as him not liking that you're pushing him to do something he's already said he's not ready to do.  Similar to the way Zevran and Morrigan will both yell at you if they're at their refusal stage (which for their romances happens after it hits Love) and you ask them to the tent again.

Ahh, Zev. Yes. Much more to my tastes than quirky one-liners (which I like!) followed by flightiness (which I don't).

Also, is it just me, or is Zev's "circus clothes" when paired with Oggy for the escape way better looking on him than his epilogue stuff? I mean, *way* better. Leave it to Zevran to make purple pants look good.

His epilogue stuff, by the way, is the same (or was when I tried it) as what you get if you stick the CE's wedding dress on him. I was curious! XD
