Can I ask what so special about the Zevran/dwarf kissing scene? The one I got before the "first tent" with my elf mage was incredible as well :P

Apparently it's much more intense than all the others, Andrea.

Here's a sipped quote from Ejoslin in another thread:

Start quote:

Oh, and that kiss . . . lasts at least 3x as long as the elf one . . . hah, and all this build up, and I swear you won't be disappointed anyway. It's the reason I've played dwarf noble and casteless to the end.

End quote.

Hahahaha, ok, Zevran with dwarf female (I can say nothing of the male romances). It starts with a long, smoldering look, more smoldering than the one for the elf female (which is the bulk of that kiss), then it goes on longer than the kiss for the human female, then ends with him pulling back a little and looking into her eyes, faces still close. It is the reason why I've played two dwarves to the end, and will do at least one more.

Edit: I'm still a bit annoyed over the Leliana scenes being obviously the same for females and males.  I already knew the Alistair scenes were  the same for all, and that's fine, but you'd think, especially given the fact that Zevran gets a different cut scene and kiss scene for all races (and genders I would assume) that they would at least not have an obviously male/female tent scene for female/female.

Second edit: Did I forget to mention lots and lots of body movement in that kiss?  Ok, I now sound like a first class weirdo!  I have seen that kiss a few more times than is probably healthy (damn you dialog tweaks!)

Third edit: The kiss I'm referring to, AndreaDraco, is the kiss that is used in lieu of the tent scene in subsequent sex scenes if you don't have a mod installed like Dialog Tweaks or Play Sex Scenes Always.  I use dialog tweaks to add the (kiss him) option to Zevran.

Well, that's just silly oO;  I wonder if something could be done via the Better Sex mod to force those two scenes to be different?  Hmm...

Meanwhile... I'll be over here squeeing at getting Zevran to propose to my city elf. Finally! XD  Watching him squirm is so utterly adorable.  "Surely you have better things to do.  Go do those!"  Poor guy. Posted Image

*grin* It's not that huge a deal, and it probably already has been dealt with by the modding community. But it's surprising given the level of detail the developers gave Zevran, that they wouldn't even give a nod that sex between two women probably requires different positions than sex between a man and woman. Now, I am not speaking from experience here, so I could be wrong. In fact, someone correct me if I am and I'll apologize for even bringing the point up!

Ahh my PC just got the "her or me" talk from Zev *sighs* amazing I missed it the first three playthroughs...I guess because the first I did Alastair, the next two were Zev, and I was too impatient...this time I got Leliana to kiss me, then got the "talk" from Zevran - just made my PC love and respect him all the more...There is a loyal, honest "do the right thing" type of guy hidden there under all those flirts and sexual innuendos *sighs* Posted Image

Orzammar he's a must have; it's where I like him the most.

My HNF is in the Deep Roads and increasingly leaving Alistair behind.  Ostensibly because she is trying her damndest to protect a Theirin throne, but also is finding Zevran more and more reliable.  Ah, the ironies- the assassin has become her go-to person both in battle and as a friend- and she realizes it herself.  They just had the conversation where he refused to tell her about his last mission.  That, and Alistair told her about the Grey Warden baby problem.  Oh, the dilemmas.  Stay with Alistair and put herself forward to keep him from dying... but what about the elf...  He is becoming more and more of a partner, though she can't yet foresee a romance.  But they are basically a tag team of destruction in the Deep Roads.  So much fun, setting up those double-rogue stealth ambushes.  She is also taking him on the Crow missions, which she would never let Alistair see.

I haven't done the Dalish yet.  So if you side with the werewolves, he tries to talk you out of it?  That might be worth seeing, and my HNF might be one character who would think about doing that.

My metagame problem is that if my HNF steps aside from Alistair to give the country the best chance to keep the Calenhad line going, and finds a soft place in Zevran to fall, that she will not then be willing to threaten the throne with a demon baby and will sacrifice herself.  And that leaves Zevran bereft.  Gah.  I can appreciate a tragic ending, but that's going to kill me.

Ah, ok :) The kiss is indeed a bit short on the elf side, but I don't know if I have the strength to play through the entire game with a dwarf (my least favorite race without a single doubt) just to see that kiss. I might scour YouTube to see if I found something about it.

I do like the elf kiss and the tent scene better than for the human.  It seems more tender and passionate to me.  I like to think that there is more understanding between two elves.  The dwarf thing, I have no idea... maybe Zevran has never done it with a dwarf before and he's pulling out all the stops.  Posted Image

Heh, I think it's the taboo aspect to it.  Funny, with the human I see her as being more, ummm, dominant, with the elf, she's definitely more submissive, and with the dwarf, they seem to be on equal footing and it just seems a lot more passionate.

And when taking Zevran to the werewolves, make sure Wynne isn't in the party if you want him to talk you out of it.  What she says overrides what he says (which is basically a nasty comment) and you go and kill.  I generally take Morrigan there if my warden isn't a mage.

Edit: This really doesn't do it any justice, but here is the very end of the kiss (and it goes on for more than a moment). Really, it's stupid how good it is.  But I love the way he pulls back like that at the end to look at her.

Did you harden Alistair? If so, you can recruit Loghain (Archdemon fodder!) and Al will declare himself King. I hooked him up with Anora too and they apparently made very good co-rulers, even though he wasn't exactly thrilled initially. That left Zev and my Elf Mage free to go get married, rebuild the Grey Wardens, and hopefully defy expectations in the baby department.

Hm, an interesting possibility.  She did harden Alistair, and it's true that after returning to Ostagar, she has more understanding for Loghain's fears of the Orlesians taking over.  She would not have been pleased herself to see Orlesian chevaliers riding through Denerim (Grey Wardens fine, but not the empress' troops).  Then again, regicide seems an unforgivable offense.  I'll have to think about this one.  It has potential.

Ahhh yes, the baby with Zev fantasy. I always wanted to see a happy ending there too... it just seems too ridiculously cute.
And I mean come on, if anyone can help my Warden overcome her taint in that way, it would have to be Zev, right? :wizard:

If you want the Calenhad line to continue, your best bet is to let Alistair find his own bride. There's a very good chance that Anora is barren. That's actually the only scenario where there's a real possibility of an heir of the blood.

Alistair won't be solo king if you spare Loghain to make him archdemon fodder, though.

Are you sure? I thought he declared himself king, having defeated Loghain, but still conversed about Loghain under certain circumstances. Haven't done that myself, but I thought I read something about Alistair being king and Loghain in the party where anora wasn't co-ruler.

Ejoslin, in the image you posted, are you also using the improved textures? A silly question, I know, but I always wondered if the improved textures were worth the effort :)

Really? He declared himself King after I decided to spare Loghain and I actually had to remind him that he'd agreed to marry Anora...he sounded more than prepared to go it alone.

No I'm not. But my display is 1920 x 1080. I'm not sure my video card could handle improved textures. As it is, it looks beautiful at that resolution.

Edit: added original post

Right, but he marries Anora.  He's prepared to become king to execute Loghain there. In order to spare Loghain and have Alistair become king, he and Anora have to get married.

Edit: Ok, I think I have a save where I can test this on because I've not tried to make him solo king while sparing Loghain.  He gave the reason of wanting the crown to execute him.  Maybe he won't go through with it.

Second edit: Make him king, and he executes Loghain if not marrying Anora.  Just as he says he will.

Yeah, but I don't think the game allows him to rule alone, though.

Oh yes, I definitely hope my Zev girls get to have cute elf babies.  It has to be!  Except with my current elf mage, apart from all the other problems they would no doubt have the Chantry trying to take any baby away.  An elf + child of a blood mage + darkspawn taint, this poor kid would be looked on as the devil incarnate.  Which of course would make him or her all the more "ridiculously awesome" as they show everyone up!

Do you have to pre-arrange the Anora marriage or can you set it up at the Landsmeet?

Make the Circle autonomous as your boon. Then, if the mages  try to take your baby away, you can always guilt them out of it. "But I set you free!" :crying:

I talked them into it after our prison break and before the Landsmeet. Alistair balked quite a bit but eventually gave in and agreed.
