I've actually been impressed with the Zev side of the fandom when it comes to fanfic in general. I've been in fandoms where two seconds of browsing a fandom community or fanfic category in the pit puts me into a rage. I'm looking at you, 99% of Skies of Arcadia Ramirez fanfiction in 2003...



Browsing around for fic by Zev-fans, though, has been pretty good! There's a bunch of one-shots on ffnet by folks I haven't seen around here that I adore, too. I have some of em in my favorite stories here, though I have not by any means gone over the entire category yet. I'm sure there's a ton out there I haven't seen yet that I'd love!



This just seems to be a very good subfandom for writing, maybe because Zev's complex enough to drive off some of the usual suspects all by himself? "Ew, he's sleazy!" "Move along, don't want to see your fic anyway!"

I've written one (1) explicit sex scene in a fanfic so far. I'm sad to say it was het. But it was Raistlin Majere het, and I'd had people begging me to write those two going at it for years and years and years.

Personally? I'm way more embarassed to be caught writing fluffy romancy stuff than smut. I'm probably really weird as a result, but since my comfort-zone is drama/action/horror (and not necesarilly in that order)... yeah. I read romance fanfics like they're going out of style, but if I have to write it I turn into a pre-teen boy going "EWW, MUSHY SH*T! COOTIES!"

Been awhile since i read that one. Appeared interesting but then she took a break, so I hafta continue, thanks for reminding me. The story begins after the incidents in the game involving the redemption of Jon.  She's also made a coupla mods on top of DG's Ascension. Good ones, I'd say.

This is why I deliberately avoid guides and just write from experience or first-hand accounts.  I know way more about certain fetishes than I could ever possibly want to because I've asked close friends for unrelated information, and it justr segued into that....  Writing sex seems to be pretty easy to fake, as long as you treat it intelligently.

I do typically fade to black or gloss over stuff, but the stuff I've written lately is way more explicit than I'm used to.  Every time I write a sex scene I sneer in disgust at the screen afterward and post it anyway.
