See, I'm not sure I like being associated with explicit writing. That makes me kind of uncomfortable.
I apologize. It wasn't my intent to imply that - it was more of my own ineloquent way to compliment you, being able to write something that was "good sexytimes" that fits in so well with your own amazing story. Maybe I should go back on Zevran thread probation.

There's a part in one of my still mostly unwritten chapters (still just an outline and a bit of dialogue) where I wrote "Blah blah sexy stuff" as an indication of where it should go, so I can probably use the advice.

Pimping this thread on the Zevran LJ community in my two seconds of free time. Come play with us, kids!
I'd maybe throw my had into the ring if I knew more about fan fiction. I've had to look up some of the abbreviations people use (sorry, what can I say, novice) and some I still don't know. That and I don't know that I wouldn't end up wanting to cannibalize something I wrote for someone else for something I was writing.
Also, thanks Liberator, for the links about sexy times. My NSFW stuff is tame compared to what I've read (Tell, looking at you here, bud or Trax - who I don't think posts here) or seen (Charsen/Cuddle, yes you two). There's a part in one of my still mostly unwritten chapters (still just an outline and a bit of dialogue) where I wrote "Blah blah sexy stuff" as an indication of where it should go, so I can probably use the advice.

Here are my thoughts on
noncon/dubcon!
If done well in fanfic, it's good. If done poorly
in fanfic, it's bad. Lit does it well! I can't say nothing about manga,
not being a fan of it, and I shall await the pitchforks and torches over
there. ;D

Nothing wrong with that! In defense of the folks who write the dubcon though, written =/= at all real life.
In real life, safety words first!

Universal safety word: NO.

Sten is ready for this.

I don't think Sten needs safety words.

In real life, bottoms actually top. In fiction, you don't have to have that distinction. "No" is a bad safety word for play, but that's a whole different topic!
And please keep Cullen away from my underwear drawer!

And there are points when I wholeheartedly agree, non-con should not be a romantic plot point, and dubcon should be DUBIOUS, not poorly written D/s or whatever.
But
in general, that's really my kind of fic. I like the comfort to be angsty and "don't touch me!" so non-con is my "hurt" of choice for that.

Traxits. Zevran is such a top, but he's, you know, a bottom. It's lovely.

Have you ever gotten the "You'll just have to beat it out of me. Creatively." line from Zevran? It's when you kind of dither as a man asking him to the tent.
I get the strong feeling that Zev knows all about safety words.
