So I just download the Dialogue Tweaks, and apparently I don't have a program to unzip it. I must have been using a trial version of WinZip. I am trying to maximize my Zev romance, and well... Can anyone recommend a good free program that works with Win7?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Edit: Oops, didn't mean to snag the top of the page.  I would post some thighs, but I don't know how.:(

winrar

Edit: technically, it's shareware, but you can use it as long as you like.  It's NICE to pay them, though, because it's such an awesome program.

Second edit:  Here, you can use this one instead.

Winrar, I think? It's not "free", but the trial seems to go on indefinitely with a minor nag screen.

Edit: Ha! Too slow!

hmm, what's the format? :)  If it's .dazip, you'll need to use the DA Updater utility (comes with the game) to install it, or some other mod management software.  I think WinZip should be able to handle a .rar?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Then I'm of to start a new Dalish Rogue. Squeee!

Edit:  I got it to work.  Thanks to everyone who suggested the winrar. Now to go get Zevrans Dialogue Fix and the earring mod, and I think I am done.  Maybe.  Well, only time will tell.

Back to some Zevy goodness.

Coming late to this, but I recommend 7-zip. It's free, open source and very reliable.

(Randomly, I know, but...) That's a really good camera-angle.

Man, I wish I could run at better graphics settings, haha.

I have everything turned up to eleven!  But you can't tell because of compression.

Turned what up to eleven? Am I particularly dense right now?

By the way, I like the way you write, Tellervo. I'm starting to really like your mage, Cadryn too. Of course, I will always seriously crush on Alessar, but Cadryn is hawt too.

I don't read slash for either gender, usually, because I am *very* partial to f/m pairings. That's not meant as an insult, or heaven forbid, homophobia. Slash just doesn't do it for me, just like het doesn't do it for others.

But your stuff and Jenovan's stuff is really well written. I do like backstories and character development and emotional growth, and both of you have that, and done well to boot.

The graphics on DA on my PC are turned up all the way.  "turned up to eleven" references a movie--This Is Spinal Tap. Considering my PC cost half what my car did, it had better be that friggin' good.

Thank you for the kind words.  I try not to write smut for smut's sake, but I also try to make sure it's skippable if it's more than a fade to black, so hopefully it isn't too hard to read.  This is also by far the mushiest thing I've ever written, and my first fanfic in at least six years, so the supportive words I've been getting are very helpful in keeping me on it instead of turning away in shame and disgust.

Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one, haha. Mushyness is just embarassing for me, but I thought everyone else handled that part without problem and I was just being immature! lol

I've read bits of yours, and bits of Jenovan's... I need to sit down at some point and go on a fic-reading binge. I haven't read any*** multi-chapter stuff all the way through in months, I don't think. I liked the bits of both that I read though! So both are on my reading list when I'm not so damn foggy. :)

Edit: ***Other than Shades of Grey, but one multi-chapter fic in several months is a trashy reading record, lol. Being sick is full of suck.

I love your elf. I was very drawn in, that story is fabulous. Usually I am very careful when it comes to het Zevran stories, the poor guy gets either pulled terribly OOC, or he's the second fiddle.

You know, the 'Alistair dumped the femWarden (for whatever reason), but the dear Ali gets rid of Anora somehow, and the femWarden bounces happily back into his arms, public humiliation be damned'. Poor Zevran gets the shaft, because he was only there for the bedwarming.

*g* I don't want to turn the conversation towards my foo, if that's how it looked! But thank you, anyhow. People in this fandom are so nice. :)

...But yeah, there seems to be less of that nonesense in slash than in het, I've heard plenty about it peripherally but have managed to avoid encountering it myself. I only read stories that either aren't romance, or clearly are focussed on Zevran as the Main Interest, Damnit. I think if I started to read a story and it went in the rebound-who-I'm-dumping direction, I'd just go ahead and close the tab. With my brainfog, I'll probably forget about it by the end of the day anyway, haha. The advantage to having your short-term memory shot full of holes!

I'll read both het and slash, and generally prefer slash since the OCs involved seem less likely to be sue/stu material, but I've got nothing against the het as a general rule. The "Dead Duster Walking" fic is also on my list of to-finish-reading.

That is certainly true, Aroihkin. The sue/stu garbage that continuously invade the het Zevran stories can turn you stomach in a heart-beat.

I usually don't read fanfic in general because of that crap. I've gotten into the habit to just glance over them, but 'Immovable' caught my eyes, because of its unique beginnings.Your Alley is actually the antidote to mary sue. As a matter of fact, I'd pay to see her beat mary sue into a pulp, hehe.

Hah, and I resolved to never touch WIP. I've broken that 'vow' repeatedly because of the writers here. I still have to catch up with 'Duster'. It seems that Soignee wrote a lot in the last few days.
