I forgot to do a fraps of naked Alistair hate speech and now my kids are all awake. Unfortunately, I deleted the game where he gave it after being made king (doh) but I do have another. So naked Alistair hate later on for sure!

It's addicting. Once you go there, you cannot go back! For a laugh, though, check out the script genpt_zevran_defined (I fixed it already) and realize that that made it through. The genpt_alistair_defined is nearly as bad (fixed that one too). The "friendly" flag is bugged as well, but unfortunately, I can't get to that to fix it via the toolset.

Edit: Ok, this crosses the line even for me when it comes to nerd humor!  But seriously, it takes one glance at this to make anyone ask, programmer or not, "WTF?  How did THAT get through."

Ah, don't let my screenshots deter you from drawing! I'm sure we could stomach the Wynne/Flemeth stuff if it meant more Zev fanart (i.e. tongues + hot male Warden/ Zev drawings)

It's different.  ZDF is lore friendly; there are already mods out there that fix the end game, but they change things.  This one I tried to avoid all changes, and just stuck with bug fixes.  One exception is the funeral (still in love Alistair gives his sad comment only if neither Leliana or Zevran are in love). I have additions though. The wording is a little awkward on that part if you through the persuade check.  I'll fix it and the Ruck one soon.  I didn't test those before releasing.  Hmmmm, the Isabela cardgame thing is now in ZDF, though.  My favorite of those changes is the one with Ser Perth.  It actually works far better than the way it's set up in the vanilla game.

And yeh, the errors are insane. I expected the scripting language to be very complex as well -- with as simple as it is, it makes the errors even more headshaking.

I think they have problems patching the consoles... which makes them less inclined to release official patches since the community has already fixed things for the PC.

You know, Fuzzy, I think I agree with you there. They can't release patches for the PC and leave out the console players. I have a feeling the console crowd is upset enough already. There seems to be a lot of trouble getting it right for them. By 'it' I mean just about everything that's wrong with the console game(s).

Edit: Deleted my nerd rage rant!  *grin*  I hope they look at the fixes made by people.  Even Alistair and the Landsmeet had a lot of unintended fixes made to it just by fixing those scripts.  I do feel bad for people on consoles, though.

Having played the game on xbox and PC... This game really feels like a PC game thrown onto consoles as an afterthought. And I think the console and PC versions both suffer because of it, too. The most glaring console bugs still haven't been fixed, and it seems like that's not going to change... but I think that has to do with the corporate end of things rather than a result of laziness/ lack of caring from Bioware.

That being said, I do wish they'd take the time to fix the scripting errors and endgame errors (especially those which are immersion breaking). They were obviously rushed toward the end of production, but you'd think they'd be able to fix things (so that they at least worked as intended) with just a small team... but those kinds of fixes would probably end up being for PC only, which probably makes things difficult for them.

Much better, thank you! Cold has dried up, but still have a horrible cough. Should be going soon though, so hurrah says I.

Hopefully I can spend the weekend catching up on work (bah) and maybe even work on fannish stuff. I got a list of things to do, and funnily enough they're all Zevran related.

*Chapter 15 of Duster (it's pushing 50k words now, goddamit)
*Zevran and Missa tattoo refs (in my mind they're both covered in them)
*Attempt at drawing boy fun (maybe Zevran and Missa-as-a-dude? Or my M!Cousland, who also shagged him romanced him?)
