I do agree, I would probably do the same if I happen to be a mother. I don't say it has to have an effect on every kid, but it might have. The described romance is imo on the very wrong side of things and I would be unhappy if my kid thought it's acceptable IRL, that is my main concern.

I just asked him about that.   He said that he didn't feel the things that people see as unacceptable were meant to be seen that way (he didn't think that Edward watching Bella sleep was meant to come across as stalking, he didn't think the imprinting was meant to be paedophilia, etc.).    And it's fiction.  He wouldn't do it in real life, but the idea is romantic.  I found Wuthering Heights romantic as a teenager, but what goes on in that is deplorable. 

I don't mind my boyfriend watching me sleep.   I'm just worried that I snore or dribble (he claims that I don't).
