oh nonvita, i actually agree. sex scenes would be easier for a lot of reasons. clipping doesn't really matter as much in some ways.... XD

Lol! Well I agree for the most part, although there's always BSC for examples of how untrue that can be. Oh, and I seem to recall some penis through nose shots somewhere in CZ's stuff. Amongst other things. XD

Edit:
Ok. I give up. Ejoslin, you always thought your stupidest posts end up on top? :pinched:

At least I have happy new screenies!

The Alistair gush thread is trying to catch up to us. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked that the level of Barbie uber-sweetness makes my teeth ache. I don't dislike Alistair, I'm just not so certain about his fans...

Well they're doing great. Already page 20!

They're adorable, too. Those little Barbie girls. Worried about whether a little nipple is OK to post or not. Giggling over sweet and tender moments.

(BTW, where's Tellervo? His girlfriend is in there...)

I could make a comment about a few of those barbies needing to stay away from the tanning salon, pink lipstick and basically any eyeshadow that isn't a neutral shade (the blue, my eyes!), if you'd like me to stir the pot. I have to say though, just looking at the last page and seeing:

ALISTAIR IS LOVE

OMG I NO RITE

had me in the aisles. As far as I'm concerned, if Alistair is love, Zevran is ecstasy - love is just far too bland to describe him.

They may overtake us!  CZ has been much quieter lately :(  I miss him!  Anyway, of course I have to spam Charsen's ef kiss youtube link on this page because it would be bad if I don't do this at least 10 times.

And my new screenie!

LOL Sresla, I'm afraid to even look at the Alistair thread.

Will agree love is way to bland to describe Zev.

Charsen -  I love the elf/Zev kiss - looks awesome. I may have to play my Dalish elf again just for that.

:D That is the post that prompted my little vent in here.  I realize we squee too, but it is qualitatively different.  I realize that the Al romance appeals more to the butterflies and flowers romantics.  That thread feels a bit like walking into a bunch of squealing high school girls, though; and I didn't understand that behavior when I was a high school girl.

EJ, there were rumblings about them wanting similar fixes to what you have done for Zev and Mori over there.  I don't know if you've posted.  I was going to scan through, but the sweet-overload was getting to me.  Too many avis that look like Barbie.

LadyDamodred - I did romance Alistair on my first playthrough - I'm fixing that with my FF (married Ali off and my PC is with Zev). I even let my Cousland PC marry Ali. Zev's romance is just so much more fun for me though, also if you don't romance Alistair and you make him king (even hardened) he pouts and insists that your PC stay and help him.

I agree different people like different things, but Zev is such a deep character I can't help having my PC's fall for him.

I'm working on Alistair as well.  In fact, I think I finally FINISHED Alistair, though of course, adding the kisses for him is beyond me, even just default kisses.

Edit: though there is that broken cutscene issue with him.  I need to see if I can fix that.  THAT will be my first "mess with cutscenes" trial.

Second edit: And I even posted there.  I like Ali.  Well, right now I'm mad at Ali, but I'll get over it.  Stupid programmers.

Oh honey, I've already enjoyed both men many times. That said, I have too much respect for Alistair to watch the things going on in that thread.

I'd rather invite him over here for a threesome, honestly.

Wait, are they seriously trying to do exactly that?  Or do you just mean they're being especially gushy?

I don't think too many of us have much of a problem with Alistair himself...  Just a portion of his fanbase... :?

I don't see why we can't enjoy them at once. We may have to get Alistair drunk first, but hey, I've got lots of money to spend on ale.

The "alistair is love' comment comes from the Hitler downfall video, which is incredibly hilarious. C'mon, admit it, it is.

As for the deeper character, hmmm. They're both broken, but in different ways. I feel worse for Zevran, I think, on all of my characters, even the ones that romance Alistair. That's why he's always my BFF if he's not my love interest. It's a matter of what the character is looking for in someone. I find something quite lovely in Alistair's ability to be completely vulnerable and open. Call it the romantic in me, but there it is.

There is nothing wrong with being a fangirl and squeeing.  The Alistair thread is really not that bad.  You want crazy fans?  Find anime fans.  Yaoi fans in particular.  *shudders*  Holy Maker.  I avoid those panel rooms at conventions at all costs.

I enjoy both men.  It's a fan difference.  This thread has more of a pub atmosphere.  No one gets their knickers in a twist all that easily, conversation wanders from the raucous to the serious and back, and sexual references are unlikely to be accompanied by a, "tee hee."  The Ali thread is more of a tea party-- kind of proper and dainty and girlish.  There is nothing wrong with tea parties, but I'm more of a pub gal.  And I'd miss the gentlemen.  :D

Very wise choice (in reference to the bolded part) :P

*wonders how naked Alistair is proper and dainty*  ;)  Well, as naked as we can get on the forums.  And when it's Alistair, when is sex not accompanied by a teehee?  Or at least an endearing leer or two?

I'm sure if we get several hundred pages in, conversation will have ranged everywhere as well.  There's been a fair amount of toolset convo discussion, which is heartbreaking for both Alistair and Zevran.

Well, with Charsen, we definitely have the better kisses!  Word of his wonderful work had spread to that thread.  He may have more offers of food if he will repeat his wonderfulness with Al.

I know this is off-topic but....

We got in trouble one year at Otakon b/c we were waiting to go in and start our panel, and there was a yuri panel already in there.  They ran over their alloted time and wouldn't get, and so we started heckling.  Ooof.  It's a good thing yuri fans are mostly girly-girls, or their might have been a rumble.
