Speaking of the pit, since we did off and on all day... the fanfic I've always thought of as my baby, in the Skies of Arcadia fandom... apparently sometime in the last four years since the last time I revamped the damn thing, ffnet decided that simple dash scene dividers (the exact same kind I use in IO) needed to be cut out. No word of this, of course, I only discovered it the other day when I went to look up a scene in it.

RftD with no scene dividers and gods know what other formatting removed is incoherent in places. Some chapters jump scenes a lot.

I am most displeased. <_< This would be why I stopped giving them money in 2002/2003 when the formatting FUBARs began en masse. I guess it's good to know some things never change.

The best part? I've been pointing people in the direction of that story lately, for another alternate, 2004 version of Alley. Not knowing, of course, that it had been skull@#$%ed while I wasn't looking. Thanks, ffnet! Nothing like unknowingly pointing people to a story that -- while already older writing -- was reduced to something I wouldn't hang on my damn fridge. Thankfully, the copy on my personal site is -- of course -- fine, so I'm just copying it back over. Chapter by painstaking chapter.

...I say it all the damn time, but if it wasn't for the readership on that site...

That 'Maybe Not So Annoying Anyway' is hysterical. Even the title is funny (what does it mean?). I liked the three different spellings of 'Blanche', none of them the right one. (My favourite was 'Balance'). I also liked some of the new words like refiester/refesiter, lesbison and vibe rater (a measuring instrument for rating vibes?). But the very best are the 'termite's orgasms'. Is it just me, or don't they sound as good as the normal sort?

But I think that's probably enough Golden Girls fanfic for me.

@SurrealSadi - I am very sorry to hear that, I hope it turns out to be nothing. Went through it with my dad last year (cancer of the bladder) and his dad 2 years before that (no idea as my grandad didn't tell anyone until the chemo started because he didn't want us to worry...) and their both fine now. If you feel the need to vent do so, it helps trust me.

Providing you trade for everything, there isn't.

If I remember right he has the Acorn, Ancient Elven Helm, Codex entery of The Dawn and Dusk rings and the golden ring (+1 con) in the stump

Sure, only one page back I was drawing comparisons between Zevran and Doc Holliday, and a page or two before then we were talking about oubliettes and how he was locked in one. Fanfic discussion involving Zev is pretty on topic too, I think.

Hahaha, I effing love that hermit. Do I? Why yes, I think I do!

(But I still end up killing him. WIth Zev in the party, yes. Via tree-stump. How could I miss out on that?)

Yeah, the Hermit is effin awesome (noticed his background music?) but the epic stump scene seals his death anyway I also love the rhyming tree. Actually the forest could have been nice place to camp around for a while provided we get rid of werewolves. It only miss some nice quite place with crystal clear pond, waterlilies, soft grass and sun through the leaves canopy ... you know for a picnic with anitvan assassins... and stuff. Bioware needs bigger budget next time to add some out-of-camp fluff.

Yeah I know, it's just I saw the email form them and got excited that I was getting my account back, then I got that and I was a a sad panda.

DANexus is still down...I was going to add shields/bows with rune slots as optional files.

Shield because there aren't any good non unqiue shields (and only a few of those which wouldn't get Slots).

Bows (all types) is the same.

Plus more customisation is a good thing, if only they would update the database, I would think about balancing the Awakening skills for Origins.

Lol, well there's that lovely campsite over there...

Speaking of, one time my entire party survived the spell or whatever, half-dead, and I had to click on one of the fire/bedroll/tent triggers again in order to trigger the fight with half my party still up the second time. Seems you can all "pass" the spell, but the demon won't come play until at least one of you drops! I'm not sure why that group was so hard for it to knock out, haha.

I guess my PC was feeding everyone no-doze?

No, you'll have to go back and forth with them a few times before your account is back. It took several days for me.
