What's the (Romantic) Appeal of Zevran?

Edit: I like the dialogue,
Edit 2: it is something that sounds the way it should sound with Alistair saying it (does that make sense?).

Hmmm, further thinking about the approval, I think it may be appropriate. It is in the game, and Morrigan can give up to +8 when she's recruited. I don't think anyone else does, however. It is an easy enough change, though, that maybe I'll have an approval-free file up in optional.
I just don't want to change the game. I think the option there that Errant_Knight is concerned about shows whether he's in a romance, not on how high his approval is -- it's a romance starting line. I'm not sure it actually appears if he's below 26+ but it only will show if the romance is not turned on.
Edit: Double checking the line, yeh, it only appears when Alistair is at "warm" to a femwarden is not currently in a romance with him but who can start the romance.

@Ramante what do you think of that dialog? I found it incredibly intense. Do you think it's inappropriate, though? Alistair IS adding more information there.

Hmmm, Errant_Knight, you have given me something to think about here. With Zevran's initial conversation, there is also approval and disapproval attached, but since you may end up killing him, those approvals will never be implemented (at least not by me). But Zevran's approval jumps even more than Alistair's.
Aw, I wish you would impliment the approval changes for Zevran's initial "Mmm... what? I... oh." conversation. I personally give this a yes vote, my reasoning being a bit more selfish. Female PCs get to have a lot more "fun" in that conversation than the male PCs:
"I could also stand around and look pretty, if you prefer. Warm your bed? Fend off unwanted suitors? No?"
"Bed-warming might be nice."
"See? I knew we would find a common interest. Or two. Or three. Really, I can go all night."
Then again, looking through it, I didn't see any jumps for male PCs, only female (that part of the conversation I think is one of them?) whereas my best response is getting him to say that he hopes I'm stupid, even though he backtracks. So much for charming assassin... I could have missed them though, I was going through the tree sort of quick to see if I could spot the ones you're talking about. If you're making an effort to take the "relationship" slowly and not wearing out his dialogue tree instantly with the intent of getting him into "bed" (yes, I know, who doesn't want to rush into THAT), especially if you don't always choose max approval replies... eh, mileage may vary here I guess.
Too, anyone who downloaded the mod likely wouldn't be killing him anyway, unless you're packaging it with all your other changes, then hmm... My highly rambling point is that Zevran wouldn't be unique in giving approval for being recruited. Heck, Wynne gives +7 approval whether you recruit her or not at the end of the Broken Circle. (Did I just draw a parallel between Wynne and Zevran? Kill... me...)

I'm probably one of the few here that is old enough to remember Cinema Paradiso, It's years since I've seen it but the bit I remember bringing a tear to my eye was a montage of kisses censored from old films.
It was interesting to see them together. That one bit I've taken from the Alistair sex scene is really sexy (there's about a second of it in the video). I'd forgotten that. I think Bella's kiss is sexy as well, the way she steps forward and grabs the warden. (What I did find is that kissing her seems to cut off the option of sending her to work for Bann Teagan. Obviously the warden is so compelling that she can't look at another man after that).
Dragon Age Kisses.
(Apologies for editing and quality, and for too much Leliana. There is too much Zevran too, but I don't apologise for that).

But would the approval show up if you killed him? Or only if not? I understand that if you put the flag in earlier and then you killed him and saw: Zevran approves +3 or something, that'd be weird (or would it, since we know he was trying to kill himself... I guess it'd be more ironic than weird). But if you only got the approval post-Pledge, I guess I'm not seeing the issue?
The rule of unintended consequences, of course. Though I suppose the flag could be unset if you let him go or kill him. My OTHER issue would be, and this is laziness, is it would be incompatible with both DT and with ZevRing and I'd have to get B2Bs and load them up and unload them to make compatible versions.

Ah, well, in that case... those few points aren't worth messing with world kisses and the proposal. You can make it up to me by adding a line in Alistair's Ostagar dialogue regarding the Joining ritual drink tasting like fruit juice...
I'll get on that right now! :innocent:
@UpiH I actually was planning on looking at Sten after finishing Alistair. That loop is bad and should be easy to fix. I also want to take out being to ask him about the sword after he tells you about it, but I'm not sure how easy that fix will be.

Seriously, Charsen. That is a horrible thing to do and you are a terrible person.
@Ramante- hope both you and your cat are feeling better!
@Ejoslin- I really don't think the approval gain/loss from Alistair is so big as to be game-breaking. But if it is easy enough, then making a separate file might be nice to those who want it. It's always appreciated when you can choose not to include certain changes (true to game or otherwise) when modding your game.
And about Zevran's approval, it would be nice if it were there (it always seemed a little odd that you go through that whole conversation with so many options and nothing to show for it), but Charsen's mods are a little more important. If them conflicting is going to be a problem, just leave it out.
Edit:

Oh this conversation is nice! It makes the events that happen in the joining a little less OMGWTF, and it does sound true to Alistair (as it should, since it's supposed to be in the game

Oomagh, the b2b is not the mod. It's a builder to builder file. It's so Charsen and Terra_Ex (and whomever else) can modify that file by adding kisses or whatever -- you load it in via the toolset. Make sure if you're going to do that that you have the most recent file -- some of the others introduced serious bugs or didn't have as many changes.
If you want to run Zevran Dialog Fix, I highly recommend downloading the most recent copy of it from Dragon Age Nexus. You will have to delete all former versions of it, and take out any mod that changes party_events, morrigan_main, alistair_main, den300_shianni, in order for them to work properly. It also is not enough just to remove those files. I made changes to the basic scripts of genpt_zevran_defined and genpt_alistair_defined. My guess is most other mods that affect those files ALSO made changes to those scripts, but they may have made corrections in different ways than I did. ZDF 1.4 and later needs at the very least the Zevran script files to work and 1.6 will work much better with the Alistair script files.
Does that make any sense at all?
ZDF, any version of it, will NOT play nicely with:
Alistair Dialog Patch
Ser Gilmore NPC
Ending Slide Show Fix (or whatever it's called -- it's an Alistair patch that also changes the ending slide shows)
Older versions of Dialog Tweaks. It IS compatible with the latest version (.93a). Just not older ones.
Edit: name mangling is bad.
