Well, let's face it, Cullen is a priggish bastard. The only reason women players go for him is they show very little of him in the mage origin and it's all awkward, goofy Alistair-like tenderness. My elf mage was originally a Fiona type and was going to romance Alistair but it just wasn't working out- however, if she had, I could see them having a discussion where Alistair has to assure he that he is not a Cullen. Because meeting Cullen again in Broken Circle should, IMO, eliminate any romantic mystique about him.
And even if Zevran approves +20, he's still not getting with Isabela with my PCs.
Not that I don't like Isabela as a minor character. I picture my GWs coming back to her after the Blight and telling her about the duel with Loghain and having a good laugh about how Isabela helped save the kingdom.
Hah, with +20 approval I'd completely avoid it. Geez, I have him at 61 care right now, and I swear I had more conversations with negative approval than positive, haven't had him to the tent, and still have a couple of dialogs to still go through. AND I haven't gotten the boots yet either and have not given him a bar either (he did get the gloves, because I love the way he says, "maker's breath!" when you give them to him). For what it's worth, the four way does not count as a sex scene with him -- at 71 he still offers the massage, and you still get all the other dialog associated with it being the first time.
Cullen scares the heck out of me -- he is . . . creepy. When my mage heard him in the tower, she was utterly freaked out and grateful that she was kicked out of the tower because Cullen probably would have killed her as she slept one night.
