but the tower was my first treaty and the Dalish is my second so I havnt had her for long

Ugh... after trying to write through it, I think I can see quite well now why Zevran doesn't mention Taliesen as a past lover when he's at Adore/Love with the PC. 

/disclaimer: the text below is the  maundering of a fanfic writer, proceed with caution

If in a 71+ romance, the PC might really start to question how deeply Zevran's feelings for any  lover run, if he was willing to fight against Taliesen.  And yes -- we've discussed how Zevran's feeling for the Warden (probably!) outstrip whatever he felt for Taliesen, but that's us discussing at a meta-level.  The PC still has these rather shaky, awkward displays of emotion from Zevran at that point... what are they to think?    They could talk it out, of course, but that kind of conversation seems a bit out of place in the game -- by that I mean, it seems like you wouldn't have a talk about that sort of thing within the confines of the game.

And without some sort of reconciliation of that, going straight into the earring offer would be.... awkward... 

So, yes... I can see why that's never brought up at that stage.

(I do think it can be brought up sometime... just not then.  I'm planning for earlier in time -- retcon is go!)

I agree that it would be awkward to bring up to his current lover that Taliesen was a former lover, considering they just killed the guy. "Ya, we were together for awhile. Didn't work out obviously. So anyway, I have this earring..."

Edit: also, if you're saying it's better that Alessar would have known this before the Taliesen encounter rather than sometime afterward... well, I think you could make that work either way. Just directly afterward would be awkward/ bad timing.

Ya, Zevran death scenes wouldn't earn you any points around here. Probably just troll treatment.

But, uh, yeah... I <3 dwarves... and the dwarf/ Ali fans seem to be generally pretty cool.

I'm shooting for before -- the conversation-that-was-removed-from-14, about Taliesen, right after Ignacio mentions him the first time.  I don't think there'd be any harm in establishing that fact earlier, but it might put a different spin on the inevitable fight later...

Edit: Though the difference is, of course, that Zevran death scenes don't bug Zevran fans for the most part.  We accept gladly that lots of people hate him.  And we pity them

Well, since you're adding depth to their relationship during the time frame of the game, I think you could certainly justify that extra conversation pre-Taliesen, especially if you're going to account for the extra knowledge in the post-Taliesen dialogue.

I have used two mods for Zevran,

ASKs Zevran Mod, (which I am using now)


And a Dark Haired Zev Mod, from the DA: Redesigned Mod
