Hello Zevranites!



Even though I'm currently cheating on Zevran with Alistair (boo, hiss, I know I know)... I did get a brand new (to me) Zevran line last night.



On the 3rd floor of the Circle Tower he said "Ohh, I'm going to regret that extra pie I had at lunch." He's so cute, even when saying something so mundane! No dobut he would be puzzled at what's so thrilling about this!

Ugh... after trying to write through it, I think I can see quite well now why Zevran doesn't mention Taliesen as a past lover when he's at Adore/Love with the PC. 

/disclaimer: the text below is the  maundering of a fanfic writer, proceed with caution

If in a 71+ romance, the PC might really start to question how deeply Zevran's feelings for any  lover run, if he was willing to fight against Taliesen.  And yes -- we've discussed how Zevran's feeling for the Warden (probably!) outstrip whatever he felt for Taliesen, but that's us discussing at a meta-level.  The PC still has these rather shaky, awkward displays of emotion from Zevran at that point... what are they to think?    They could talk it out, of course, but that kind of conversation seems a bit out of place in the game -- by that I mean, it seems like you wouldn't have a talk about that sort of thing within the confines of the game.

And without some sort of reconciliation of that, going straight into the earring offer would be.... awkward... 

So, yes... I can see why that's never brought up at that stage.

(I do think it can be brought up sometime... just not then.  I'm planning for earlier in time -- retcon is go!)

I think it might depend on the PC.  When they got ambushed Blair knew that Taliesin and Zevran were friends and knew that Taliesin killed Rinna.  He guessed from Zevran's reaction that he was unhappy Taliesin had engineered the ambush and wished he would walk away, and figured out from the conversation that they'd been close and had a falling out.  But Blair would figure that if he and Zevran were to have a fight and split up and then later he went after Zevran and tried to kill him, it would be only fair for Zevran to try to kill him back first, so the same would go for any other friend/lover of Zevran's (the fact that Taliesin was his lover did not come as a surprise to him).  Blair was angry with Taliesin and a little bit jealous (due to the "you don't know who you're talking about" line), so the only thing that kept him from being all "I will kill you with glee!" is the knowledge that Zevran was unhappy to have to kill Taliesin at all. 

So for Blair it was more a "sucks that your ex-boyfriend's a psycho" situation than "OMG how could you kill your ex-boyfriend?!"

Inorite? I opened the toolset the other night to look a dialogue for the first time, and even with a tutorial, I was like "wtf?"  I'll just be over here playing with the Morph Editor.

Definitely depends on the Warden.  There are so many ways to play this out, I'm sure each of us had a different take on it.

I haven't written it yet, I'm not sure if I'm putting it in that chapter or bumping until later.  I'm messing with the timeline if it suits.  I'm actually not sure if he'll turn it down or not.  I did in the game but I'm not sure if it fits the character.  It will probably depend upon the exact situation.

Jenovan I actually do like your Zev mod as well. If that sounds less than enthusiastic, it's only because I've never seen a Zev mod I like, so yours is special. =P

Edit: Would you mind posting it up for download somewhere? I'd be curious to try it next runthrough. Unless you're protective of it, which would be understandable.
