I've played a bit with putting aging/weathering on the mod, but it's finicky -- he ends up looking far different in-game, and even under different lighting, than in the morph editor. I do like that aspect of original-flavor Zev... I just decided to go for hmmm... elfier features.

I think a bunch of us concluded at one time that
he's in his mid-late 20s, regardless of what the toolset says.

Agree.
As I was taking Daiya (CE Warrior) through "Rescue the Queen" yesterday, I kept flashing back to the origin of her in her wedding dress, and wearing the ring that Nelaros made. And I guess I was really immersed this time around, because I felt anxious, rushed, fearful, and unsettled like my PC was reliving the event all over again.
I had Zevran in my party of course. But as I paused the game to go pee, I thought of Zevran noticing the CE's discomfort.
I apologize in advance if its bad, I imagine conversations better in my head, then actually writing them out. It's why I can't start a fiction><.
Arl Howes (Formerly Vaughn's)
(Pc is disguised as is the rest of her party)
Zevran: *lightly touches Daiya's shoulderand speaks softly* Amora, are you well?
Daiya: *turns her head towards him* I..I thought that I could handle this better.
Zevran: May I ask what is it that you are not handling? Besides me, at the moment?*tries to lighten the mood*
Daiya: Being here again. After all this time, I thought I conquered my nightmares of this place.
Zevran: You have been here before? *gently*
Daiya: *nods* Once upon a time, when in one day my dreams turned to nightmares, I failed my sister, and I faced my first monster.
*wraps her arms around herself*
But we are chasing another monster now, and I can't help but feel like I am reliving the nightmare.
Zevran:*lifts a gloved hand to her cheek, and lightly brushes the back of his fingers slowly against her cheek* I know not what happened here, and I will not push you. But I promise you this, I will be there, should you need me to chase your nightmares and slay your monsters. *voice drops to a thick whisper*
I swear it.That took entirely too long for me to write
That's wonderfully well-written, and I can see that conversation actually happening.
Agreed on the conversation... very sweet

Though Im not as fond of the "scrolls" (or, at least thats what my bff when I was a little kid called it when we RPd in such a format) way of writing (now that I think of it, i could have just said screenplay...), that was well put.
But really? Early, mid-twenties? Zevran always struck me as being early-mid thirties.

EDIT: Actually... what does the toolset say of his age? Im guessing... 36.
Thank you! I know, I hate them myself. But if I did it in fic format, I would have been at it all night trying to "get it right" in my eyes. I am my own worse enemy I swear.

*is blushing really badly right now* Thank you Sadi, Jenovan, and Aro! I wish I could start a damned story, but I always balk at how to start it. Dialogue isn't so bad. I only have one fic published,
it was a Naruto Ficlet I put out like 5 years ago, please stop looking at me like that @ ff.net.
Well as Yoda says, "There is no try, only do."

Script-style is fine for getting a quick thought out like that.

And, lol, I have fanfic I'm ashamed of too. One's even still online, for pure nostalgia's sake. And because it got like 300 reviews. The Rurouni Kenshin fandom was smoking
crack that year, I swear to effing god. It's so bad. XD
ORO **** YEAH. Rurouni Kenshin... those were the good old days.
God, I was so wapanese when I was in high school. I think I spent almost 1,000 dollars on comic books.
EDIT: Literally, I was one of those kids who would bring her lunch in a "bento box" invite people over for "gohan" and exclaim "KAWAII". And I named my little mutt terrier Chibi.
LOL, for all my faults back then I wasn't wapanese. I didn't try to mix random Japanese into my writing or anything, I just liked the characters. Especially during the war.
My main problem, other than not having much of a writing style yet at the time, was in thinking that having like sixty freaking sub-plots going all at once was
great. And I was experimenting at the time with just tossing the skeleton of the story online and then going back later and filling it out... which became impossible when it hit a certain length as a skeleton
and needed revisions to the plot and and
and--
So yeah. It's not my finest work. XD Other stories I did at around the same time are much more respectable, but Bloodstained Steel remains online mostly because I'm a review-ho. I could probably take it down now, since TAF as a collection long ago hit 300 reviews. But... but... seeing 300+ next to a story title is preeeetty. *review-ho*

Toolset says 24!
Yeah... he doesn't exactly seem 24, but with all he's been through in his life, he could seem older than he is...
This. 24 sounds perfectly reasonable to me, because he is, of course, going to act and look a little older than he is because of the life he's led. And if the Crows bought him at 7, then I doubt they waited ten years before they started putting his skills to use. Compare him to Locke Lamora, for a moment. I can't recall Locke's age and don't have the book on hand right now, but he's at the oldest mid twenties in the first book (I believe he's around 27 in the second). 24 isn't unreasonable at all.
In fact, I would argue against placing him much older than 27. There's no naivete left in him, but Zevran is still young and vulnerable in many ways, easily read in his behavior.
I'm actually agreeing pretty strongly with this. Life experience =/= age. I'm a cynical bastage and I've spewed TMI all over the thread about
some of the crap I've gone through, and I'm probably younger than folks expect.
Zevran still has some shiny to him, and he's totally clueless about most of life outside of his narrow (and horrific) experiences.
