Leliana: Of course not! We will always be friends.

I think the first one is more appropriate for a gay warden, but I don't know. What do you all think.

Edit: I can also cut out "I suppose I see why," from the first tree.  And actually I CAN combine the trees, to a certain extent, but it's a bit of a pain.

Hmmm, ejoslin i prefer the way first one plays out, but the second one sounds like it gives you the chance to choose leliana over zevran (SHOCKER who would do such a thing!?!?), have i read that correctly? If that is the case, then i suppose that would appeal to more people, I assume. But, personally, first one is for me.

Falling in love versus being in love - I see a distinction there too, and Initially I thought Zevran felt the first for Rinna.  But playing through again, I chose the 'And you fell in love' option.  I think there's a distinction between that and 'falling in love' - if he fell in love, then he was in love after the falling, if you see what I mean.  The toolset says that he was in love too. 

I'm putting all his answers together, which I don't even know if you're meant to do.  It's obviously not the way the game is played.  If you don't choose the 'love' option, then he never does tell you that he loved Rinna, so I think it can be RPed that he didn't.  But if you choose that option, it seems that he did, or at least that he is letting the warden think he did.   I don't know why he would let you think he loved her if he didn't.  

Did he honestly feel she betrayed them?  He says that he didn't care to know, which is a bit different from just not knowing.   He says that he 'readily agreed' she should die just after saying that he was 'frightened' by what he felt for her.    He's not entirely innocent, the way he tells it.  He tried to believe she had betrayed them. He avoided knowing the truth. The way it sounds to me is as if he is connecting the two things - his fear and his denial.  He also said to Rinna that 'even if were true' (that she loved him and hadn't betrayed them?), he didn't care. (I keep coming back to that line though, because I'm not sure exactly what he means.  I'd be interested in opinions).

@Aroikhin I think that if he was frightened of what he felt, he was already aware of what he felt to some extent. He told Rinna he didn't care, and can tell the warden that he convinced himself that was true, so I'm not sure. When did the convincing go on?  In the moment?  Before?  Later?.  Maybe it was when he found out she allegedly had betrayed them?  It's probably a good thing that you don't mull over it too much.  I know I do way too much mulling.

Well, that is just one dialog choice, the "well, I am," and it makes the warden more gay than bisexual.  There are other choices in that branch that allow the warden to choose Leliana.  Or be worried about someone finding out.

I thought I might introduce myself. I've been lurking researching important semi-naked zevran lore on this thread so much the past couple of days its bordlining on the stalkerish. Ok it IS stalkerish, but you guys seem like the kind who aren't scared off by that so, here I am! Actually I was going to post a couple a days ago, but then I saw this:

Thankfully I regathered my face so I can post here. If i could bake I'd send you lots of lovely virtual muffins - especially ejoslin and charsen for all your wonderful modding! - but I can't. I can however make you all some nice homemade pickled red cabbage! mmm you know you want that over some silly muffins!

Okay okay I'll stop rambling, too muck coffee methinks. And I'll post something much more coherent and relevant later on, I just thought I'd get the very embarassing introduction out the way. Just wanted to say its nice to find other people who appreaciate the very well written character of zevran as much as I do!

Well, I am.

I don't think it is overkill, because now that I see all the options I'm certain that you're fix has to be in it. Otherwise the dialogue tree is pretty insulting to people who deliberately romance Zev as a male character and even more insulting for people who are gay IRL.

@soignee, doesn't matter where you're going with it. Your train has derailed hours ago.

Ejoslin is there any way you could cut out one of the vanilla answers? I knoe you're trying to not change lore too much, but especially the line "Dear Maker, please don't tell anyone," just seems unnecessary. Hmmm. And I think the first of the conversations sounded like something she'd say, but the second one had more options? Can't choose, need coffee, need to wake up, need functioning brain, need to get off here and finish my work.

As offensive as that answer is, if you have a warden who JUST is figuring out he's gay and is ashamed, or is a serious closet case, it's appropriate. I can see someone wanting to RP coming to terms with that part of himself.

Edit: My mind can always be changed.  Up until I load up DT -- then it's set in stone!
