Now if only we had a wheelbarrow. :D

(Hey, it wasn't me for once!)

You gotta upgrade your old one (If there ever was such to begin with). I found mine on The Cliffs of Insanity.

Edit: Because Grammar IS important.

OK, so sparing Loghain was freaking TAME to what I imagined it could be. But it might be my fault because I've read a lot of posts about ppl who romanced him and did that..I am so sparing him again.

Anyway I promised screenies and here they are:(I hope you like the emoticon I chose to cover Al's bits)

One of the few writers I honestly can't stand. I read Tigana and I think part of my brain melted during it. I will never pick up another book by him. He falls into Robert Jordan territory for me (RIP dude, but I went to exactly one book signing of his, for a friend, guy was wearing a cape and yet he was too good to inscribe the book personally. Please. Capes I'm sure have their place in fashion but not him, not after I plunked down $30 for the hardcover and he didn't want to take 2 extra seconds to write a name. RANT OFF).

Zevran, on topic: Do you suppose he reads? He does in my story, not quite the scholar my mage is but I could picture him picking up books to read (not all the dirty kind, either). I suppose that might be because I don't want him to be bored out of his mind when I'm reading, so there's shared moments even if the book topics are different. I don't know if I picture the Crows being the artful educators the Orlesian bard corp are though, but I do think he's more than passingly literate. I could also picture him publishing a scandalous book of poetry if he stays in Denerim. The kind that the young noblemwomen read to one another and giggle over during their sewing circles.

I think he would go through a period of taking up interesting hobbies in an attempt to stave off boredom once he's no longer under constant threat of death....  Reading would be one of the hobbies most likely to stick, I think.  As for what he would read, I have no idea.  Part of me wants to say he'd have Sigrun's enthusiasm as he's a lover of fine things, and part of me thinks he would see it as a waste of time.  He strikes me as the oral story type more than the print type.

I just came accross this thread and figured I would jump in and read it, and from the above Rocky Horror Clips Im glad I did, it's so good to see Zev is a fan!

I got DA:O just recently, around the time Awakenings came out so I purchased both, and I have to say I just love me my Zev. I know the original posting is old, Im just a late comer and had to show my support to the Zev Fan Club.

Boy was I just not impressed or happy when I found out we were seperated in Awakenings...Screw the Darkspawn Im going to Antiva *scowl*

I imagine Zevran is quite literate. It seems only useful for an assassin to be educated to at least some degree. I think Zevran would enjoy reading, but perhaps less fiction and more practical material. I could see Zev publishing scandalous poetry, if only for the fun it could generate. Although I can imagine him reading history and politics, I don't think I could see him writing anything of that nature.

Hm... not so sure about the politics, but I agree with the history.  That seems strangely appropriate.  I think he'd take a great deal of pleasure in surprising people with the breadth of his education.  It's also easier to get into someone's confidence (or bed) when you "speak their language", so I imagine he's always been somewhat well read.

Welcome, Mscheveous. I was unhappy about Awakenings too. I had been hoping that there would be something, a cameo at least, or even a decent explanation of why Zevran wasn't in it. What really annoyed me was that Oghren didn't acknowledge my PCs relationship with Zevran. That didn't make sense.

I didn't like the epilogue card when I read it in advance, but I did like it when it finally came. At least it seemed to provide a 'happy ever after' ending, which wasn't the case with my Origins ending for that character.

I don't think that was Oghren. <_< Or if it was, he drank himself into such a stupor that he forgot Origins entirely.

There needs to be a Zev head photochopped in there.  Right in the middle.

I think he might find the politics a bit amusing (from the stand point of a Crow it would be).  As far as using his knowledge to seduce a target - absolutely.

Not.  I do think he would have at least passing knowledge of popular pieces of literature to "speak their language" as you suggested.

LOL, the cartoon is priceless.  Poor Zev, if only his lessons had been that easy.

No kidding. :(

I'm no good for more indepth analysis than that right now. Aimo did a driveby earlier with that, though.

Although I'll say I'd be willing to bet that every single Crow is fully literate by the time they go out on their first paying job. That's too much of a necesarry tool.

I admit I love Oghren too, not to romance of course but he has to be the funniest teamster by far, imo anyways.

I've played Awakenings only once..and my Warden has decided to go on protest until such a time that her Boon is granted. She saves the world and asks for nothing but her man at her side! *tsk tsk*. I bet if I made a pact with the Broodmother and fed her all those helpless little Bioware employees I could get what I wanted!...*Ponders*

Thanks for the Welcomes =)

I must admit I am with you on this. Also read Tigana - it has two or three very good scenes, but otherwise it's quite medicore fantasy, nothing mind blowing. I am not at all impressed and I wouldn't read any other. Maybe I've read wrong book, or I've read to much fantasy, dunno.

I haven't even heard of this guy. Are we surprised, Y/N?

...Yes, I did grow up under a rock. Or on top of one, as the case may be. :D :D :D

Edit: Also, welcome to the crazy-train, Mscheveous. I'm a total space cadet today or I'd have said it sooner!
