Edit: Hold it! The mouthpiece on a bassoon is smaller than that of a clarinet. (has been playing too much phoenix wright lately)

True, but you have to work the muscles of your mouth much harder to get the sound to eject out. And it fills up your hands much better as it is far, far larger in both length and girth.

my ex played double-reeds too. the english horn primarily. did bassoons and oboes if needed too. reed players have to wet their lips a lot. that's all i'll say.

Yeah, it takes a lot of sucking on the reeds to get them moist enough to use.

It was absolutely terrible!
No idea why I picked this class, it is the most terrible class I have ever followed. I hate chemistry, math and physics and it was all there.
