Yeh, I exchanged a few e-mails with him and discussed a few things with him, but he got a bit condescending.  Then he told me he only tested with one character.  I told him he should be testing with both genders and all races and he told me if he misses things he's sure people will yell.  I said to him I would avoid the obvious comeback and the conversation basically ended.

He has no interest in finding or really testing the errors, just doing the coding and getting the credit and hopefully getting a job this way.  

It's not about me.  It's not about me.  It's about making the best game possible.    Charsen kisses.    Life is GOOD!

Which is why I'm going to bury myself in the toolset and work on putting together a community-based fix pack. Most of it is already there since most of the modders are already working together.

I know what I would do, I'd refuse to work with him, I know you want this to be open source and i know offered him help (and I respect that, you know I do), but he doesn't want that, all he is after is your fixes, I reckon he won't recongise your work (or anyone elses) and insist it was his own.

I'd contact everybody who mods he may use and when he releases it, all of you contact Nexus and complain he plaugerised your work without your constent (which is what he planned to do in the first place), his mod would most likily be pulled and he could be banned, mod sites generally do not take plaugerism well. 

Thats my feelings anyway.

funfact: I got totally Jipped when it came to killing Cammen!



he was in the cutscene pointing a bow at me just before the dalish/werewolf fight yet when the fight started he WASNT there bloody coward!

I finished helping him the minute he told me he was only testing on one character and not actively bug finding himself.  He has a point, most bugs people come across either through word of mouth or playing the game.  And really, things like adding lines to Leliana I never would have even thought of had it not been for CZ and Charsen.  But at least I TRY to find the stuff myself and test my fixes.  And people have been wonderful about sending me saves and such.

He doesn't want to do the grunt work, and is not acknowledging the value of that work.  I know the type.  I don't think he plagiarized me, but I also refuse to be his free grunt worker so he can do the fun stuff and be snarky and condescending to me.  

Even *I* will only do SO much!    Hahahaha, and judging from what my house looks like, I actually probably do much less than I think I do! :innocent:
