Image IPB All the Discworld's, me - have resorted ordering from Canada & UK when they haven't shown up in the US fast enough to suit or when not published here.   HitchHikers just my tattered old copies from over time.  Neil I have got all his book novels, I think.  The couple of Sandman gr.novels I had and loved,  belonged to my ex, sadly, & I haven't replaced them.

Ever see this website:  http://www.lspace.org/

Yeah I've read all the Discworld stuff ever, I think. Love the Ankh Morpork (city watch, Patrician, The Times, the bank etc) and Witch series the most. I love love LOVE Tiffany Aching to pieces too, even if he'll probably won't write her beyond the trilogy apart from in cameos.

@barkingM1, yep its my go-to site for all things Pratchett :D

Ok Game related question:

Did we ever find out how the CE's mother got combat training/martial training? Because Loghain's Night Elves would have fit Adaia perfectly.

The Wee Free Men had me hooked on the first page. I think I have re-read all of Tiffany's books at least 5 times each.

The Nac Mac Feegle can divide by zero, and drink it.

It doesn't matter if he apologized. He hasn't gone through and found the bugs himself, tested and retested fixes for those bugs, spent more than a month working on those fixes, and then still fret over it. This is your work, and the work of others, that he is trying to say doesn't matter because HE wants BioWare to look at him like he's God's Gift to Bug-Fixing and hire him. The whole mod community for the game should jump all over this **** and rip him a new one for that mindset.

If I seem snarky and b*tchy, I apologize now, as hormones are gonna be a PITA this week <_<

I have this bad habit -- when I have an issue with someone, ESPECIALLY if I drag people into it, I feel like I have to, in the spirit of fairness, not just tell my side.  My personal feelings? He's taking major shortcuts.  He's learning about things not through playing the game, not from talking to people, making friends, whatever, but trying to get modders to tell him what is wrong and how they fixed it so he doesn't have to do the majority of the work.  And I have helped him a lot towards that and am a bit mad at myself, but I wouldn't do anything differently.

Meanwhile, ummmm, Zevran thighs?

Oh, I understand, I truly do. But this guy seems to want all the glory for none of the work. And, I don't want to offend you, but the modders that are telling him the bugs and how to fix them are enabling him to do that. If I were one of the modders involved, I'd tell him to take a flying leap. But that's just me and my opinion.

Don't worry, Surreal, I basically just told him that.

My last message to him.  I think I was clear.

I will suggest you coming up with your own fixes based on what you think will work. My b2bs will give you an idea of a way to fix some things, but come up with your own. Do your own testing based on how you think things work, and get frustrated when they don't, figure out what's going on, THEN come and say fixing these "little bugs" is a trivial matter.

Sorry if I'm sounding ****y. Doing this stuff WAS frustrating and a lot of work. I'm glad I did it, I had a lot of fun, met great people, am still working with people, and it's awesome. But since my fixes, while they work, are kludges, and based on things that you won't have to deal with since your'e not the one finding them and looking at other people's fixes to give you ideas -- you probably would be better off actually fixing stuff correctly since you're putting out a major bug fix. Mine is just something so people can enjoy the game! :)

And sometimes, even if something looks like it should work correctly, there are unintended consequences. This is an interesting game to work with.

Edit: And thanks for the thighs.  JUST what I needed!

Man, I only just got into Pratchett when I stopped being able to read books. Loved Vetinari, the Postmaster, and whats his face the Guardsman (of course). Memory fails on names and what books I managed to snag, though, and they're all in boxes... somewhere.

The Author who wrote the books we are loving, Terry Pratchett

The Disc World Series

The Wee, Free Men

The Nac Mac Feegle are the little blue men on the hat. Think Red;Headed Alcholic Smurfs on Steriods, who can carry away a cow, with one Feegle under each hoof. LOL

Brain-fog. You know how when you get reaaally tired you have to stop reading because you're re-reading the same paragraph over and over and it's just not sinking in?

I'm like that for anything longer than the average fanfic. In the last few months, it's been that way for anything longer than a one-shot fanfic. Even my own stuff, I can't do it.

Been that way for novels for several years now, very aggravating. About half of my worldly possessions = books.

I spent about three months like that.  Three months when I was working on my senior project.  It was kind of awful.
