Why CZ posts the good links while my kids are awake so I can't check them out MUST be due to bit boobie hate.

Would anyone find that cartoon even sexy though? She looks ridiculous!

considering people find loveless hot (I dont I think its freaking pedophilia despite the fact you can go into a book store and buy it) yes there probably people who find it hot (like like there are people who finding fiting up to the sholder hot)

http://en.wikipedia....oveless_(manga)

Loveless... errrgg... most manga stuff I'm alright with, but the whole shojo scene just gives me the creeps. Loveless isn't that bad... theres some shojo stuff out there thats a lot worse.

loveless isnt shojo though... its shoutacon

Oh god, more manga. A few weeks ago that subject came up here so I asked my daughter about it and she handed me 13 books of Ouran High School Host Club and I had to read them all so we could talk about it.

Ok, it was actually cute. But STILL! No more manga!

the manga I posted was about a 20 year old flat chested dick girl having a relationship with a 12 year old kitty boy -_-

Excuse me I need to go throw up now...

That is wrong on far too many levels....

and you can buy it for 7.99$ at barnes and noble!

The geeks of the world needs Japan to feel well adjusted. A country where you can marry a girl in a dating sim is glorious.

For me, it's more nauseating than anything... and sad. I have a friend who works for CPS--and she actually gets calls about this kind of stuff.

I honestly wish that the US could at least regulate what is sold to the public according to our laws. We outlaw child porn if its real children--but when it's a cartoon, that suddenly makes it okay.

But as I said earlier, loveless is actually pretty tame, which is a thought I know I don't like to linger on.

EDIT: kind of looks like I'm talking about the cat if you just skim over it. Oops. xD

I read all of Crimson Spell solely to find out what the protagonist would do when he found out this other guy had been having sex with him on a regular basis while he was mentally checked out (for his own good, of course!)

Answer: nothing.

There is much strangeness in the world.

I've heard of Loveless, if what I read was correct there's no actual sex?  Issues like this get involved because you could end up banning Lolita, which people have tried, but I don't think it's a good idea.

I think I'm the only person who became a Japan geek not because of anime/manga. Actually I've only read ~3 full manga in my life. Sadly it's the only thing anyone outside Japan knows about the country, however.

Nope, no actual sex. And I know that there's way too many political barriers to actually do anything (partly due to the fact that so much pop culture TV depict minors having sex) so really, it's just wishful thinking, but that still makes me a little sick to my stomach.

I don't read much manga, but:

(Hopefully these hotlinks work, my ftp is being a punk. Random pages!)

Claymore is awesome.
Lots of gore, violence, and mindf*ck. Also, lots of naked boobs for those of you who care, though not so much as to annoy a straight chick like me. The few men in the plot (Isley, grown-up Raki) are kind of smokin.

And then there's Saiyuki (and Saiyuki Reload, and now Reload Blast which is in-progress):

Image IPB

(I roleplayed as Gojyo, so the best ones I have uploaded right now are of him.)

(random pages again, hopefully they work, and the earlier art style isn't as awesome to me)

Image IPB
Image IPB

Full of religion-kicking badasses, the main character is a buddhist priest who smokes, drinks, and pops candy-colored pills like they're all he has to live for. It's very "life is suffering, but I want to live."

So there you go. One full of chicks, one full of dudes, both ongoing and both total asskickers. I don't bother with anything else I've yet encountered.

... I will admit to reading Loveless, but only because the story intrigued me. Yes, the whole college student totally obsessed with a middle school student is WTF, but the story is actually pretty good.

I'll be honest though, I'd rather read something like Yu Yu Hakusho instead. And I really should see if the local B&N has Claymore >.>

*grins*

Also amusingly, Claymore is by a man and Saiyuki is by a woman.

And yet, while both have their "eyecandy" moments, they're both so full of awesome characters and plot that it hardly matters. I'd say Saiyuki has more eyecandy moments than Claymore does, Minekura does some amazing fan-service (though a lot of it is in extra stuff, like the artbooks ("Salty Dog", she named them!) not in the manga itself. Usually.)

The giant wallscroll of Sanzo with a bullet between his lips on my wall gives this discussion a disgruntled raised middle finger.

(Gojyo in my head: That means he likes it~<3)

I think you mean:

Saiyuki chooooooo suki~~~!!! Kakkoi si, kawaii si, subarasii si... uwaaaaaaaaa~~~!!! \\(^o^)/\\(^o^)/\\(^o^)/

You cannot express a liking for things in Japanese without unnecessary squeeing and ridiculously complicated smiley faces.

Did someone say weaboo? Because I think I just heard someone say weaboo...

My point is, you don't have to be a closet pedo or a japanophile to like some of the series out there. Zevran would fit right in with the Saiyuki guys.
