Just regarding those asking about the romances, by "not continue" it just means you don't have a chance to actively continue the relationship during the course of this adventure. It does not mean that you mysteriously broke up or that the romance is not recognized to exist. I would have liked to have cameos by everyone, but that simply wasn't possible. As it is, you may find some treats awaiting you -- recognizing past decisions can be done in small ways, as well as large (and this applies to things outside of romances, as well).

Leliena would make alot more sense than Wynn(expecially if you play as an orlesian warden)

Ok, I feel 100000x better.  As long as the relationship is acknowledged, I can understand no cameo.  Alistair NEARLY got lucky this playthrough.  Now he still may, and get dumped, and be pining away for his beloved bride while she stays with Zevran.

I'm sure you're right.  It's too bad, because I liked him rebuilding the grey wardens with the warden, but I suppose that would have to be dealt with eventually.  Well, the Oghren fans should be happy.  I actually like Oghren, so that part is ok.  The most disappointing part for me is no cameo at all from Zevran -- I was hoping for at least a conversation.  *swoon* that voice.

To respond to the original question of this thread, I have no clue. As a man, I find Duncan and Sten far more appealing. They're what you call men's men. The women who play this game sure seem to love him (Zev) though. So maybe it's just a matter of XY vs. XX chromosomes. It might make for an interesting poll - breaking down companions sex appeal by their gender and ours.

1)VA is cheap I mean seriously his voice actor is in everything these days

2)plenty of room for development...I just hope they go with the "oghren goes sober" ending



also they need to confirm the dog..seriously would it really be that hard to add in the dog?



I can understand leaving various other characters like Zevran out dew to how much voice acting costs...but the dog you can just reuse all the barks and growls from the first game

Nooo!  Oghren is Oghren because he's a foul-mouthed drunk.  He makes me laugh.  Every story needs its comic relief.

Well... knowing that the romances will still be acknowledged is cool. I can't wait to see how that'd done.

I have to admit I was half-hoping (with a new character, obviously...) to be able to romance Anders, but seems like they'll all be too busy for that love schtick.

LOL, poor dog. I wonder, though, if having the darkspawn taint might have shortened his life, errr... really significantly. (Or maybe he'll be a free companion! I wish...)

Hmm... if it's quite a long period of time, perhaps he would be more understanding of it, especially if it's made clear to him there's no deeper feelings involved, but.... that seems tricky. I have the feeling that "Care" level Zevran might not mind so much, but Adore/Love level Zevran might be a little unhappy about it. It might also depend on whether the PC is casually sleeping with a person here, a person there, or if it's a long-term relationship of some type with someone. Still, I don't think he'd have a hissy fit over it or anything... he just might be disappointed on some level. Maybe. My two bits. ^^;

Oh sure, but I imagine it being a bit of cat and mouse with their respective insecurities.  Thing is, I am planning on having her hold out a while before tenting.  Maybe not til after Taliesin, but at least until sometime after the massage invitation, which I also don't think she'd take up right away.  With this background in mind, re-meeting Cullen was even more harrowing.  What if he had gotten to her first?  *shudder*

Something I noticed about Zevran's Fade dream:  He says he can tell that you're telling the truth.  No surprise since I imagine that would be part of an assassin's training.  However, it makes it all the more interesting that he and the Warden would dance around the truth so much.  Not that Zevran is ever intentionally deceptive with her; just that he tries to deceive himself.

And those torturers in the Fade dream... boy, a Crushing Prison never felt so good.  Zevran is always rushing to defend the warden against attackers, this is the one time you get to defend him when he really needs it.

Ah, it's disappointing but not surprising to hear Zevran will not be back in Awakenings. And no confirmed Fiona, either. Damn. Well, like others I'll take a wait and see... oh, who am I kidding. I'm sure I'll play it, just grumble about such things here.

I don't think he'd think it was a turn-on in the "yay, more for me" way, but more like. . .  Well, everyone I meet asks me in tones of amazement, "You've never had ice cream? "  (Milk allergies.)  I imagine a confectioner dating someone who'd never had ice cream would be thrilled to be able to present them with the best ice cream in the state.  Since sex is one of Zevran's specialities and that's something he takes pride in, I think he'd feel the same way.  

LOL Yes, this is what I'm thinking.  I imagine virgins are thin on the ground in Antiva, especially in his circle of acquaintance.  Yes, she'll be a lucky elf, and no doubt a fast learner.

Nooooooo! That info about Awakenings is sooo disappointing! Not only because I was hoping to at least see Zevran for a minute (it was obvious he wouldn't be returning, but I really thought there would be a cameo!), but because now I have NO idea what to do with my HNF. I seriously thought Anders would be romanceable based on his description, and I was thinking it would be a great match for her. She's not looking for love with Zevran, and I'm hesitant to have her fall for Alistair... Arg, this makes things hard. >.

I'll still play it, but count me in the list of grumblers.

EDIT: Ok ok, as usual David's post makes me feel a little better. Still, I hope they add in a couple more romances eventually. If they really are planning on a few more exansions, it seems weird to only have a few romances in the beginning with nothing available later on. But I'm going to calm down, rethink a few things, and accept things for what they are.

It's hard for me (no pun intended - or is it, considering this IS a Zevran thread). Yes, David Gaider's words make me feel a LITTLE better although I feel like Team Alistair is getting all the love and Team Zevran is getting the short end of the stick. Not even a cameo? Really?



The part about new romance options don't bother me because I wouldn't have considered them anyway. Winning Zevran's heart (and he won mine too, make no mistake) means more to me than a casual fling to satisfy urges. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, or so the saying goes.

Aww, that's too bad. I was thinking of leveling up a romanceless dwarf just in case Oghren became available in Awakenings, but I can see there are no romances whatsoever. (One day, Oghren! *cries*)



This does cut down on the amount of characters I'll want to level up/import over though. I think romances are half the fun in a story. It's why I went out and got Mass Effect based on the word-of-mouth from other women who were doing romances in that game as well. (Mass Effect is a fantastic game without romances, but it's still nice to have someone in your corner.) Soooo I'm thinking maybe my two dwarven gals and my one elf with the Zev romance. (I don't have any human characters that I like. Should try human mage maybe. Dunno. Time is running out and I'm still playing ME2! I have two more romances to check out in that game, nooooo.) =p

The cynic in me really does feel that they're just going to find another way to take Alistair away. He wasn't obtainable without the dark ritual so he may end up being done in by the conquesences of the ritual itself down the road. Having Zevran is amazingly uncomplicated. You'll be the one going phew when that happens and feeling sorry for Team Alistairs.

I have this fear that my Elissa(s) who never romanced Alistair and married him for political reasons, while staying with Zevran (and heh, rebuilding the grey wardens with him as well) will end up in a love-match with him. THAT would tick me off more than anything!

you can actually flirt with duncan during the human noble origin but no romance and yes Duncan is a sexy beast :3

Hah, yes, Duncan is funny.  "It wouldn't be appropriate for me to go to your room unescorted!"  Gah, the man is made of stone, I tell you!  I liked Daveth too.  I guess I'm just so good at missing the obvious, because the first time I played I had no clue that Daveth and Jory were going to die.
