The "exploit" of camping has been eliminated. What changes need to be made to end the exploit of speed runs?  I think part of the solution will have to involve somehow stopping spawn point rushing.

freakin' lol'd, hard ^

2. How is it an exploit? It isnt abusing any game mechanic except spawn points. Would you prefer they remove enemy spawning?

it is kind of funny that bioware pushed camping out only to make speed runs more prevalent, if you are not ramboing now, you are doin it wrong.... hell even the few precious moments of objective hacks are getting screwed because of biowares anti camping approach.... seriously if anyone can post a vid of gold or higher where they can keep every enemy out of the hack circle, i would be impressed, cause it is just about impossible to keep from getting swarmed now during a hack obj.

Geth bomber is basically a mobile speed bump deployer... heh

How would this be accomplished, and what is the point of this? Somehow make it so only standing still can get you through the game?

Devs never called camping an exploit, they simply introduced new challenges for those who do.

You can still pick your spots to fight, you just have to readjust your targeting priorities.

For example, I HATE dragoons, but since I have given them priority over phantoms my games have gone better. And If you run a character that does good damage to armor, they aren't that scary anymore.

I still hate them though.

Really good players will always find a way to face & overcome challenges put up to them. You can't stop speed runs, you can't nerf great players.

You make the enemy spawn two feet above the player. Have the enemy drop down and kill the player instantly. No more speed runs.

And there is no way to "fix" spawn bombing that would make camping easier.

The solution is simple: Remove all of the enemies from the game.

? Camping can still be done on all the maps. For example, the exit zone in London, the higher ground of Condor, etc. Its not difficult to think of a good camping spot if you've played the game on UUG. Seriously....

I think the solution is to time all the matches in parsecs.

Speed running is fun. And why would YOU want to eliminate that? Do you find it unfair that other people do it? Does it harm you in any way?

The only people mad at this patch are the ones who couldn't pull off an u/u/g with pugs.

Yes speed running mist be stopped. How dare you play a game with multitudes of strategies a different way than me. I don't like a simple and effective strategy so it should be removed from the game... hey while were at it let's remove geth infiltrator and the entire shotgun class... hell I don't like adepts so I demand that bioware takes adepts out of mass effect entirely

Camping is not an exploit. Kids need to stop whining because people just want to get money their way. If you want to play a certain way use the forums and get together some people who want to play your way. Gosh how do you even make it in this world. Think sometimes!

Getting rid of missles. And changing enemies to have individual spawns like on firebase white's landing pad.

But why change it? Everyone loves spawn nuking and fast games.

Speed running, the term which is a phrase from speed and running, Denotes something, in this context, a game instance being completed as quickly as possible.

Some speed runs, especially in mmo's, use bugs and exploits to get past enemies/skip encounters to make the run faster (run i.e. the instanced dungeon)

Yes, this may be a MMO, yes, you can consider a match a dungeon with 10 waves of enemies. But using tools that you are given and not exploiting any advantage, etc, is not a bug, and cannot be "fixed" persay.

People are good at this game. That is a speedrun. There is a specific strategy involved in speedruns, but it is efficiency that plays the only role in a speedrun. It is not a exploit if there are no bugs/etc. being abused.

Your argument begs clarification, if not, is invalid.
